Can't mess with the Texas Snowman! ☃
That Dimaggio looked really good for a 5.
I only missed on the Complete Sets,Great Series Chris, Let's Go Snowman!!!!⚾️
There needs to be a LOVE button. Cuz I love this series!
I got in at 7:2 early on betting the snowman. Easy money. ☃️☃️☃️
4/6 today, 31/35 total. Had no clue that Thurman Munson was so expensive
Round 1: Interesting way to kick off the round. The Yaz wins due to being a higher grade I guess. Another possible reason: Is the Morgan is a multi-player rookie. And the other guy was, just a other guy.
Round 2: Tough one. I don't know the pre-war market as well as the vintage. DiMaggio, if that's his rookie. Decent value. Cobb, is older though. Yea.
Round 3: Modern baseball in the building. Let's get wild. I thought it would have been, Jeter, too. Didn't realize that card went down so much. A ''10'' is over $1.000, but the ''9'' is under 100. Most people can't tell the difference between the grades. Ridiculous!
Round 4: I agree with Jeremy, the 1976 Topps has more cards, but does it have more QUALITY cards? Than the '52 Bowman? Probably...not. So, it's not just quantity but, the being the highest ranked with the PSA set-registry. Obviously, that's what matters these days!
Round 5: My favorite of the rounds. Both Gibson and Brett rookie are, on my want-list. It will be interesting to see how much some of the key-rookie cards from the, 1970's decade grow and involve with their market share....
Round 6: Final round: Wow. I am pleasantly surprised. If I ever grade my Munson '71 and it gets a ''9'' or maybe an ''8'', we can talk business. 🤣
Congrats, Jeremy! This was a great match up. And now, I don't know what to do with my Mike merch and slogans. Everyone loves Donson. And I've watched Dustin's channel for several years, too. But actually whoever wins I feel like they will be bragging about this until the end of time...or until next year, when I come for the viewers crown, so I can have my shot at bragging, too. Lol.
Texas snowman is a fuckin legend lol watching him calculate that set value was cool af
Man what a great series, all wonderful guys with tons of knowledge. Can’t wait for the championship! Congrats snowman!
That was fun guys!
I have that Joe Morgan rookie in a PSA 5! I think the guy at PSA that graded was mad at the world because its the best looking 5 I've ever seen.
I looked up that ‘71 Munson PSA 9 rookie. Same exact card with the same exact cert # was bought for a hair over $20k back in early 2017. Not a bad rate of return over 6.5 years.
His rookie is the 1970 Topps.
@@ACD1994 You are correct. I wrote “rookie” out of habit. Sloppy.
I love all these personalities!! Great series
Ok, now I can correctly state, no basketball. ☹
Morgan and Seaver are the only two 100+ WAR players with 1960s rookie cards.
Such a great match. I was expecting a double overtime. Can’t wait for the big match…..Dustin vs. Jeremy! How did FanDuel become involved?
Congratulations Jeremy on the win, AND for the beginning of your son's journey into his baseball superstardom! Very nice!
Texas snowman needs to win as he has the best nickname by far....
Snowman’s picks were mine as well!?😅 I got hosed, cuz I picked the 52 bowman as well!😢
I am enjoying this game.
My guess: Dustin (-220), Snowman (+190). This has been a fun series.
I'll take those odds. ☃❄ 🤠
What a great series
Texas Snowman be like ⛄ ☃️ ❄️🌨️
GO SNOWMAN!!!
Chris, Enjoying the series and appreciate all you do.
Thought it would be interesting to see your analysis determining if the '52 and '76 sets would have sold for more if broken down and sold individually.
Keep it coming!
I think sold individually '52 would have won. But not entirely sure. Good question.
Great question!
I'm a fan of your videos. Where are you located?
I wanted to bring my collection of sports cards to you.
I am in the Maryland/D.C area
These videos have been great, Chris! Very fun. The Jeter 9-to-10 multiplier is wild. I think a really interesting video would be capturing the top 20 largest 9-to-10 multipliers that exist across the 4 major sports. I think the ‘89 Score Barry & ‘89 UD Griffey are other notable examples.
Any of those types of cards with a 10:1 ratio or better between 10s and 9s are just nuts to me.
Hey Chris, serious question from a non-baseball collector. Why are first bowmans of minor league prospects such a big deal in baseball card collecting, or even just collecting any minor league prospect cards in general. I don’t see why it’s any different than collecting NBA G-League cards or XFL Football cards, which nobody does. Why is baseball different? Could you do a video explaining why baseball is so unique when compared to all other sports cards in terms of non-pro cards having such a large market?
I think Jeremy wins
Epic battle by Mike and Jeremy, ala Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader 🫡🫡
Grand Championship of the Universe 😂
I notices in the last semi final round you did same thing as here old psa vs new psa tag I don't know if thar cause in your pricing but that makes a huge difference the old is trash the new is way better as it's much harder to get a 10 now!!!
I think he stated in a previous video that the actual cards shown should not factor in because he is using the average of all recent sales in that particular grade.
@thomascourt4935 this video wasn't that bad but the last 1 it had a major affect
This series is so stupid....and I am hooked!
🤣
1st
We have a winner!
😁
Chris, why won’t you address the whole issue surrounding the Washington C-words and the fact that they are being sued by Native American organization?
This is a sports card channel. Not really something I am interested in discussing on this channel.
You really don't need to be a tool, yet here you are.
