TikTok has revolutionised my sealed collecting in the UK. I've not paid over £90 for any S&V BB, around £30 for most ETB's (excluding 151), and JPN BB's all for around £30-£35 (again excluding 151). It's been expensive overall but can't turn down those prices as can't see them ever being cheaper.
Hello mate, I’m also based in UK and started collecting/investing. I’ve also just recently discovered TikTok shop as a great place for good deals, I’m still a bit sceptical though… do you have any specific sellers on TikTok shop that you’ve bought from that you would recommend? Thanks in advance
Yeah a lot of ppl are skeptical since tiktok is known to be kinda shady, but you can’t get products cheaper anywhere unless you buy stolen goods off marketplace
That's awesome mate, picked up some bargains there. I wish we could get tik tok deals in aus. At least we're getting a pokemon center!
@@pokeoz91 yeah TikTok has been great and only had one issue which was resolved. ChaosCards is very reputable retailer here and they do TikTok deals, and with vouchers as well it's crazy. Yeah that Pokemon Center will be cool, when does it go live over there?

I’m so glad you covered the Aus house pricing because it is actually so hard to be a uni student and trying to find a house! So I’m always trying to find cheaper alternatives to investing in this hobby❤❤❤ great video again mate

Excellent points mate! …I try and aim for around 5%, sometimes I might exceed my limit if there’s a bargain to be had.
I have other investments like precious metals and property, but none come close to the fun & enjoyment I get with pokemon.

These are really important words. Also that you look at it so objectively from your perspective. I think it can happen too quickly in this hobby that you get too deep into it without noticing it

I think 5% is just too low for most people, sure if you have 500.000 that is 25k which is a lot. But If you only have 10k, you gotta work with 15-25%. At least if you want to make some serious gains. The higher the risk, the bigger the reward.

@@user-bf3mf8og2k as I understood it he meant investment portfolio, which is your money allocated to just investing. Ennglish is nit my first language so I could be wrong tho
It's just what I go with, 5% of net worth. However, if you're younger or just getting started, allocating more than 5% could be needed!
I like this. It’s easy to understand and makes sense. Even for the new investor, this makes sense.

what’s your thoughts on buying a silver tempest booster box, it’s the last SWSH booster box available in Canada and i have been super tempted to purchase!
I've noticed Silver Tempest is really inexpensive and very available everywhere. If you want Sword and Shield era set, Crown Zenith is becoming a little more scarce. I picked up some ETB's at GameStop the other day for $63 Canadian. After tax it was like $71 and change. Not a bad price seeing how I see them selling at other places for $80 plus tax
I'd definitely grab CZ and ST while it's still available 👌

I remember that video with the crown zenith boxes there was a similar offer in the Uk for £40 a box I have a case and 2 cases of etbs that was a great play on your part £3 a pack is a no brainer honestly
People want everything for nothing and if you wait and look the deals do come up like!

Absolutely, you've got to scour over all the websites and platforms and ultimately you will start saving £1, £2, £5, £10, £20 etc here and there and it all adds up! Also - ripping packs doesn't pay 😅 if the goal is to have sealed collection, don't overspend on ripping endless packs. You can't have both! (Unless you're rich 😂)
Ripping packs is fun, or disappointing haha but it's not good for investment. Definitely keep them sealed 😎
What are your guys thoughts on JP151? Im thinking on going in a bit since the reprint crushed the price and im holding for the longer term if needed. Also i think Temporal forces is the best of the main sets in SV so far.. 2nd probably Paldea you think? Cheers mates!
I've been picking up paldea and temporal from the sales here in aus at the moment. And yeah great time to dollar cost average on jp 151 👌

Im "new" in that im coming back to Pokemon again after being completely obsessed as a kid when it launched in the US then falling out as a teenager lol. So im playing a huge catch up and really wish i had gotten back into it during Sun and Moon since every set since has been a banger and seen huge gaines. Im ballin on a budget and really trying to diversify but some sets seem obvious to invest in. Your knowledge and content is invaluable. Its such a unique hobby/investment niche im REALLY enjoying it again!
Do you think XY Evo ETB boxes at $200 is a good deal? Seems at a 1 year low
They've been stagnant for a long time. I like them, I've got a few charizard versions.
@pokeoz91 I just know next year they bringing Megas back and I strongly believe next year they may double in price and out preform most SWSH booster boxes
