As someone who doesn't play PUBG, and cares more about the video-audio sync in youtube, I say a big THANK YOU, as most other youtubers are only testing in PUBG. THANKS!
Haha but man I gotta say the AirDots S is something else 🤣 Also just to let you know I was eyeing on SSP too, hopefully I can review it sometime in the future, for now I still got a pile of stuff to go through 🤣
it is kind of crazy that even like 20 years later, BlueTooth still can't just send a 16 bit/44khz 1.4mbps PCM stream across a few feet. It'd solve all the latency issues as there's literally no decoding involved, and there's no frame size; you just decode it byte by byte. It's crazy that these BT codecs even bother with 24 and 32 bit support; you're just wasting coding on decibels that you will literally never use, unless you turn your volume up so high a peak will hurt BAD. Going above 48khz is probably even more worthless, unless you're giving music to your cat. Just seems like a bit of a waste to spend time trying to encode, but at least LDAC still showed good results.
I'm playing PUBG Mobile And watching RUclips videos using SSC (Samsung Scalable Codec) on my Galaxy S10e. There is no lag as far as I can tell. It's pretty instantaneous IMO.
I have Oppo find x3 pro and Oppo enco x that utilize LHDC, and I not experiencing that lag on RUclips because the RUclips itself can delay the video automatically to match the delay of the codec used. But for gaming the SBC definitely win for the lowest latency.
Xiaomi recently released the TWS Mi 3 Pro with LHDC 4.0, however Android itself seems to have some overhead because on Windows and iOS the delay is much better when gaming. Let's hope LC3 Codec fixes that in the future.
Few years before the boom of Qualcomm aptx LL ,hd , or adaptive was so huge but in reality it was just trash. I use AAC code Bluetooth buds with gaming mode support. I normally use mi true wireless buds S and realme buds q2. Both are awesome but bass and sound clearity wise I will prefer realme. Thanks 👍 God bless you.
For the aptx LL codec, the delay is much lower than for AAC in game mode, as it should be. Another thing is that no smartphones support aptx LL. You need a good transmitter (CSR8670/75 chip) and good headphones which support this codec. There are practically no tws earbuds that support this codec. Most of the philistines (including the author of the video) are absolutely ignorant about the issue and conduct all the tests incorrectly. I almost threw up from such stupidity.
@@NPSpaceZZZ finally someone who can think...people calling aptx ll trash while its the best codec for game....using switch almost on par with wire earphone
thanks for the video, while i'm not that much into the audio, the differences are good to know- it's definitely useful for people like myself who want to buy the best headphones
Thank you for this review about different codecs, latency, etc.. I could use some help here with an issue concerning to a "dual link" bluetooth transmitter that I need. So, this is the problem: I recently bought two sets of the Beoplay H95 B&O Headphones, and I just love them. I did it because I wanted to see TV with my wife, Tânia, with the headphones, simultaneously, without disturbing the neighbors. Meanwhile, I understood that now I need to by a "Dual Link" bluetooth transmitter, which supports the Aptx Adaptive, to link my Sony Smart Tv (Dec. 2018, bluetooth 4.1, A2DP) with the two sets of headphones, Bluetooth 5.1, which support the codecs SBC, AAC and APTX Adaptive (saw your 2020 review about Aptx Adaptive), without latency or lip-sync significative delay. That's my purpose. The problem is that in the market I didn't found yet a transmitter, with "dual link", supporting the Aptx Adaptive; in fact, supporting the Aptx Adaptive codec I only found the USB Bluetooth 5.2 Aptx Adaptive Transmitter (Vortex review), which seemed kind of fragile to me and, in any case, doesn't use the "dual link", that I need. And before more, let me tell you that with just one par of H95, connected via bluetooth, with my Sony Smart Tv, the thing goes perfectly, meaning, with some surprise for me, it works without ANY visible latency or lip-sync delay! With the right "dual link" bluetooth transmitter, I think, the thing can go very well; but, with the wrong transmitter, the results can be very disappointing, as you all imagine... Would you be so kind to tell if you know a Bluetooth Transmitter, with the "Dual Link", and APTX Adaptive? The thing is that in the market there are many bluetooth transmitters with "Dual Link", as the "Orbit" model, from Avantree, and several other models of other brands, but non of them seem to use the APTX Adaptive codec, so they would probably link my tv to my phones whit the SBC codec, and in that case I would probably notice some lip-sync delay... What do I do, then? Risk with the "Orbit", which seems a premium and versatile transmitter from Avantree, or with another transmitter which doest support Aptx Adaptive, to link via SBC codec? Wait for a new transmitter to come in the market, with APTX Adaptive and "Dual Link" ? As far as I know many people, as me, just don't know what to do with this "APTX Adaptive" new codec thing, because in the market the bluetooth devices still work with the SBC, AAC, Aptx, Aptx LL and HD, LDAC codecs - nobody seem to have devices supporting APTX Adaptive. Thank you all. Best Regards from the suny Lisbon, Pedro

Having literally aptX or aptX HD kind of quality by just flipping a software switch, and all the headphones out there at the moment will just instantly sound better, on SBC… Such a shame it isn’t implemented already 🧐

Well if we can have both, why not right? Haha seems like it is possible with LLAC (it’s the low latency version of LHDC) although it can’t run on the highest 990kbps bitrate In any case, you will need higher-than-mp3 files to take full advantage of the codec, and that’s another whole story because most of the time you might not notice the difference when streaming in RUclips for example.
