I’m totally with you here, I mainly play my Xbox remote play on the IPad due to convenience and my wife always hogging the tv for rubbish reality tv shows. That said I am in 2 minds about the not having exclusives thing. If Xbox were to port all the games to Sony, would you still buy an Xbox console or would you switch? A pre-build modular, blocks style pc from Microsoft for an Xbox would do well, with minimal waste in mind you could decide to upgrade an easy slot in GPU or CPU to run predefined game graphic settings etc etc
It might be your ur phone that sucks at cloud gaming I know mine does but I been playing black ops 6 on my series s cloud steaming it and it works fine

If Xbox games are all going to be available on PS and with Game Pass on PS, and with exclusives only going to be on PS, you would get all Xbox games and ever more games just to use PS. This bites for us that are long time xbox fans.
If you wanted to play PlayStation exclusives you should’ve bought a PlayStation. Xbox putting their games on PlayStation doesn’t somehow take games out of your library. You aren’t losing anything.
I think they're trying to figure out how to optimise Windows to run on a handheld. And that does take a lot of time. I think the hardware aspect is the easiest part. They just have to look at what everyone else is doing and offer something comparable if not better.
I am glad to run across your video just as I was pondering what I was going to do about my ultimate pass, I paid three years ago for 3 years of ultimate I used 3; 1 year xbox live gold and used a option that Microsoft had in place back then where Microsoft allowed you to switch the cards to ultimate pass but 3 years limit, now this month that 3 years was up. And I was notified that my ultimate was due at 19.99 a month no options of getting lesser price for 3,6, or 12 subscription. So I have not gaming like I was three years ago since I was only playing my Elder scrolls online, which is totally a pay to play with 14.99 monthly subscription which is now mostly Microsoft now, so this month I was really burned out on eso and I seen diablo IV on game pass I went for it, so my choice is to pay the 19.99 ultimate just for diablo IV, I am of the mind to buy diablo IV outright I already did the playthrough for main game and payed for the extension. But everything I watch or do goes through my series x and that requires a subscription even if it a core subscription. I will just wait for the eso upgrade which takes 7 to 10 days to play. Bethesda's/Zenamax has been stretching out that map since 2014.
Xbox should only work on a handheld which docks into an egpu, and when doing that disables the integrated one and boosts the CPU. They could also have a SSD on the handheld and another on the eGPU, with a game transfer system from one to another.
I like the multiple platform thing. In today's economy having to spend $350.00+ to buy a console to play Xbox only games is restrictive. It means us poor people can't play them. Having them be available on phones too is a big deal. To play Halo on a phone I already own? That's a win for me.
Lol, just how many times do they have to say it. I believe based on what Phil said he made it crystal clear so just assume all their games are going at some point. This makes it extremely simple to understand and allows those fanboys out there to just get past it already. Exclusives at least for MS/Xbox are a thing of the past which honestly is the way the rest of MS works anyway. There is no limitation with their other products so why should the gaming division be any different. Once it made sense when the goal was to sell consoles but with GP that is no longer what matters. If anything, the console space may be the smallest space compared to others like PC, mobile, or even streaming if they can get the issues worked out.
Xbox is DONE! Personally i seen player base drop like 50%, ubisoft pushed a lot of players out and then xbox keeps trowing consoles at us, BUT NO FUCKING PLAYABLE GAMES! Any developer became so woke, that their personal bullshit interferes with the gamers joy! Creater are so mess’d up with their woke shit, games aren’t even games any more! So i witnessed communities completely sell their console and went to pc.
For the last years they are mostly focus in filling up their catalog for Game pass, not much innovative with their tech. Right now graphics is there for the games. I think they should focus more on a compelling stories in the game that could potentially branch out to other medium of entertainment.
Xbox is a brand. Not just a console. If they provide the most services, that's what's best for gamers. The future consoles will be a hub to companies SONY doesn't "fully" want to deal with.
Yeah, the problem with your logic is, is that there needs to be a reason to buy a console for it to survive Einstein. Why would anyone with a brain buy a Xbox or PlayStation if they eventually ported everything everywhere- you’d buy a Nintendo because you get all 3rd party games, all exclusives from your so called rivals while having your own exclusives that shit all over said games. You’re basically just giving profits for no cost in expenses to rivals, while reducing the value of your own console- which if it dies will also cost you a loss in revenue from thousands of 3rd party games- unless Microsoft somehow acquires the majority of the industry.
@ADe-p7d The problem with your logic is that you don't understand how a console can be a "hub" for those services. You don't have to be Einstein to understand that.
The brand has been completely and utterly diluted. Calling everything an Xbox doesn't mean anything. If you wanted to play Halo 3 or Gears of War you purchased an Xbox. It's a simple concept and it worked for them. Just like how it still works for Playstation and Nintendo.
@@De1usionsofGrandeur That's exactly what Xbox has done the the last two generations with gamepass. Cultivating their user base to not purchase games on release. You’re right that good games whether they’re everywhere or not are the driving force to success. Their games haven’t been great since honestly the 360 era. Today’s Xbox doesn’t understand the creative process behind gaming. They introduce only corporate poison to these devs. That’s why everything they put out is half baked and mediocre. Xbox is where studios go to become a shell of themselves. This isn’t a console war thing either. Most of us are just concerned that the consoles days are numbered as there is very little reason to invest in this platform now. Even beyond the consumer, how many third party devs may consider skipping the platform altogether? Satya and company have taken the reigns and they want nothing more than to distribute their soulless IP like a new version of Windows. And that may be more profitable for them in the long run for sure, but it’s ultimately sacrificed their identity as a result.
If we get an Xbox handheld in 2028, it better have the best experience, best specs, best display, and be able to play GTA 6. Otherwise by 2028 there will probably be twice as many handhelds out vs what we have today, also by 2028 those who want an handled experience will have already bought a device so Microsoft will need to make a must have device somehow.
How hard to achieve can an Xbox handheld be? PS had their PocketGo from PSP 1000 available as far back as 2004. And right now there's "Another" promising new "Tecno Pocket Go" on the market. An interesting one to invest in

Thank God every game should be on every console.Game's being locked 2 a single platform just isn't going to bring in enough money! Plus, with Trumps tariffs, Playstation consoles & games will be more expensive since thier a Japanese!

Let the exclusive games go..Microsoft is going to win through Steam, Nvidia, Boosteroid, etc... More games will beat out exclusives. We'll have to go back to buying consoles for convenience. I'm old enough to remember.
Which is why Nintendo will eventually win because they will end up with all those games and their own superior offerings. Because you are mentally challenged if you think Nintendo would do the same- at least for the foreseeable future their ceo is only 55 and won’t compromise.

As one of the original generation that got home gaming for the first time the console wars were later. Pong on the TV the home computer revolution with the likes of the Atari Commodore and Spectrum it was all about the publishers. Loading games on a cassette tape. Don't get precious over what was the console wars. The business model has moved, loyalty means nothing apart from the guarantee to a bottom line. Sony are shifting too my xbox account is now effectively a pc account sat next to my steam epic and gog apps. That's where the next front is opening up. Steam/valve is the target and they have been shook by recent legal changes over game ownership. GOG are playing the, you own your games and should be able to play them offline cards. None of the other platforms are prepared to say that in their EULA and T&C. The next console generation may be the final one as bridge between pc and console
With everything I've been hearing I'm betting all or 90% of everything will be going to Playstation and Nintendo. I think Phil lost the fight and Microsoft is now fully in charge.

Many people have said that they will and some have bought the PS5 Pro because it is the best place (most graphically powerful) to play GTA 6. Wouldn't it be interesting for Microsoft to launch its Series X Pro even more powerful than the PS5 to capture this audience? Microsoft has the money to embrace this entire audience with truly Premium hardware, which the PS5 Pro definitely is not...
Already rumors of a 'Xbox PC' coming in 2026. That isn't long after GTA 6 release. It would undoubtedly be more powerful than the PS5 Pro, and the best place to play GTA 6 if you want console-like convenience. And guess what? If it sideloads Steam/EPIC you'll be able to play PS games on your Xbox device as well. The device would most likely run Xbox and PC APIs, which would allow you to play the Xbox version at release, and the PC version of that game down the road if you chose to.
Mmm xbox has one hail mary. The next xbox needs to be a pc console hybrid. So we get steam and windows somehow. That will save xbox because sony cant compete with that. However it would turn into a whole mess. Sony would have to go ina new direction. Which is possible. Sony would have to sell a 1000 console and give full back compat somehow its the only way .
Look on the bright side they just launched three mid generation upgrades, Xbox game pass is going to have a lot of nice games between now and next year within 2 years they will make a handheld, and 3 to 3 1/2 years they'll come out with the Next Generation console and while all that's going on they're going to refine Xbox cloud gaming they'll get it right one problem is they're just throwing all this out at us all at once but if you sit back and think about everything that they're doing they're making Hardware Beyond cloud gaming, I'm old school I like it when a console comes out you dedicate to the console and that's it for a 6 to 8 years and then make another machine I bet this is making PlayStation consumers crazy because their strategies a lot different but I just bought the all white digital series X and I'm looking forward to playing stalker 2, civilization 7, Grand Theft Auto 6

I’m Xbox all the way but just don’t know if there is any point to buying the next console especially considering Sony do remote play as well.
What benefits do would you see sticking to the Xbox?
Australian here as well.
If you prefer portable, while having the option of a traditional console also go with Nintendo
@@tommythornton470 Funny you mention. I just sold the console. I'm aiming to go all in on cloud and PC until a future HW release. Cloud streaming goes well for me, albeit not perfect (very casual gamer here). I did cheekily sneak a PS5 Pro in behind the TV though. Wife wont know. I'm a terminal flip flopper. Still prefer the Xbox strategy overall.
@@ADe-p7d I'm a sucker for the steamdeck
@@tommythornton470 What if there isn't a traditional console anymore? What if there are two devices, a handheld, and 'Xbox PC', both based on PC arch? Not consoles, but have console-like convenience. What if you can play Xbox games, PC games, and PS games (via Steam/EPIC) on that Xbox device?? Why would anyone need a PS? No porting to Xbox needed. The PS games are already there and ready for those Xbox devices.
7:00 Yea, and the mobile version of AOE sucks so bad you would think "Concord" was a freaking masterpiece and the game of the century. Now AOE on PC is the best place to play, that is until AOE comes to PS. Then PS will be the best place to play AOE and I can still use my keyboard and mice. Mobile gaming sucks just as bad as cloud gaming.
Not just Halo, but if Gears goes on PS5, im going to be beyond F'ing pissed off😡
A pre-build modular, blocks style pc from Microsoft for an Xbox would do well, with minimal waste in mind you could decide to upgrade an easy slot in GPU or CPU to run predefined game graphic settings etc etc
cloud gaming sucks i tried on my mobile the latency kills me
Interesting cloud gaming works great for me
@matthewwebster3143 go and try multiplayer games you will see it
It might be your ur phone that sucks at cloud gaming I know mine does but I been playing black ops 6 on my series s cloud steaming it and it works fine
Not all cloud gaming is the same, if you have tried 240fps streaming on hardware capable of displaying and render that it is amazing
If it sucks for you then don't use it. Nobody is forcing you. Play on PC, console or future handheld and stfu
Can see the Xbox handheld falling flat by not being as good or being better then what's already out ! Hope I'm wrong 😅😅🙃
It sounds like they're doing everything except for making great original games.
Great Moms everywhere is going to buy Nintendo Switch when you ask for a hand held. "Mom, not everything is Nintendo!" Lol😂😂😂😂
Nintendo will soon be the only non pc platform worth investing in.
@@ADe-p7d they arnt worth investing in now
The hell with Phil and Xbox at this point. If they start porting all games to PS, I will be done with Xbox
Does it really matter what platform we play on? I just want good games 😊
Avoiding a $1000 console while releasing a $999 Handheld.
If the xbox handheld isn’t a $1000 it will be cheap useless junk
Steamdeck is far from cheap useless junk and that is a lot lower than 1000. Steam deck is great
No need to buy a console anymore, just going to play them on my PC since both XBOX and PS are putting their games there anyway.
im confused, whats wrong with getting more people into halo by bringing it to the PS platform? I mean thats more money for them to spend on making games also, Im sick of not being able to play games with one of my friends because they have a playstation. I think its a good thing, more games for more people, and more choice.
Who cares if this info is 3 days old!? I subbed to this Xbox news channel for the fancy edits and milktoast opinions!
@@asphaltannihilator157 You are losing brand identity. New gamers enter the market every year and will view Xbox with a smaller more limited library.
@@asphaltannihilator157 read the post. Been a lifetime xbox person. Had all of them. Morale of the story is xbox is selling out too much.
Nobody makes handheld like Nintendo..Nintendo has that market on lock down hands down. They're the best making handheld games/systems.
I'll take a rog ally over a switch anyday, but that's just me.
I’m still waiting for final fantasy 7 remake and rebirth to come to Xbox
Not happening
Xbox should only work on a handheld which docks into an egpu, and when doing that disables the integrated one and boosts the CPU.
They could also have a SSD on the handheld and another on the eGPU, with a game transfer system from one to another.
“Xbox should only work on a Switch” might be the dumbest take in these comments
I like the multiple platform thing. In today's economy having to spend $350.00+ to buy a console to play Xbox only games is restrictive. It means us poor people can't play them. Having them be available on phones too is a big deal. To play Halo on a phone I already own? That's a win for me.
Multiplatform also means more people around the world like in Asia where less people own some Xbox
can play on Xbox
But if you have 12mb/s wifi like me then it ain't shit!
xbox rocked 🔥 fans shocked 💀
I was gonna upgrade from a series s but luckily this news made want to get a ps5 instead.
only saying but all xbox games are on pc too so would it not be better to call it microsoft exclusives. btw im looking forwards to the handheld system
I think people are taking this way too far.
If the xbox handheld is native gaming and not cloud gaming ill buy it
Phil: it's business....
Ya no business kicks themselfs in the nuts to instead help/ aid their competitors what business is that.. the business of giving up... ha
@@De1usionsofGrandeur That's exactly what Xbox has done the the last two generations with gamepass. Cultivating their user base to not purchase games on release. Releasing games games day one on PC therefor removing the need to own an Xbox for multisystem users. And finally making the Xbox console platform difficult to develop for with two separate consoles both with vastly different capabilities.

Goodluck to Xbox and its handheld. When xbots complain about the ps5 pro price do they have any idea how much a steam deck sells for? Just like you said it needs to be plug and play where steamdeck is alot of tweaking and horrible experience. i just dont think it will sell, Ps vita and nintendo switch and their games were specifically made for those handhelds, to run a AAA game on such a small screen i just dont see the appeal.
Why would they announce something 4 years out. Who does that?
10:05 as long as anything multiplayer is cross play, I see no big problems
An interesting one to invest in
Why are digital games cost as much as the disk games
Xbox exclusives don't mean stuff for the last 6 years
They better release a pro console that does not look like a trash can
A nice idea 💡 i have.... A Xbox console to run dual boot system: Windows and original console system. And to unite the whole ecosystem Windows and Console
Here's the thing: guys, xbox selling their games on other consoles only helps bring in a huge bag Xbox wouldn't otherwise have while helping fund the next gen xbox console, handheld & games! Xbox cloud gaming is not close enough to be full cloud for at least 1 or two generations! Even Sony is doing the 3rd party thing! I think the era of fully exclusive games is over 🎉! Thank God every game should be on every console.Game's being locked 2 a single platform just isn't going to bring in enough money! Plus, with Trumps tariffs, Playstation consoles & games will be more expensive since thier a Japanese!
If people can't live their daily lives without playing a game without having a handheld... get a freakin life!
Do think i should get a XBOX Series X or wait for the series X2
wait for the series X2
The Series X will be capable for years still.. and it is an upgrade from a Series S. I actually bought my second one, the 2tb. Now I got that and the Halo Edition Series X. One for my room and one for my living room. The next Gen is still like 3+ years away.
Pc dude. I finally switched 4 months ago. Got a pre-built pc that will probably outlast next generation. Yes I spent a lot of money but I did that on purpose. I could have went low end or mid but I said screw it if I'm doing the pc switch then I'm doing it the right way.
Series X is good enough, I don't think you need an X2 for the current games, I love mine 💪

As long as forza stays on Xbox I could care less about the rest.
Why do they let him speak anymore? Every damn time he does an interview or make a statement he tanks the brand. Hes seemingly doing everything he can to diminish xbox as an ongoing brand while sabotaging Sarah Bond and the rest of the xbox exec team.
Get a pc and run a Switch and a PS5 emulator... Done everything on 1 device 🎉
Because you are mentally challenged if you think Nintendo would do the same- at least for the foreseeable future their ceo is only 55 and won’t compromise.
imagine squareEnix, Capcom, Sega do the same and tell you every thing is a segaBox, capcomBox, and SEbox, that means Xbox is a software now, not hardware... LoL

So.. Xbox is going to take 2 to 3 years to basically copy everyone else's handheld? Idg?

Xbox is now Atari and there done as a platform
Phil Spencer is A guy.
why Phil Spencer looks ill?
Mmm xbox has one hail mary. The next xbox needs to be a pc console hybrid. So we get steam and windows somehow. That will save xbox because sony cant compete with that. However it would turn into a whole mess. Sony would have to go ina new direction. Which is possible. Sony would have to sell a 1000 console and give full back compat somehow its the only way .
Focus on Consoles and hardware cloud gaming is trash blurry bitrate issues lag internet sucks fir the averager consumer
