At about the n15.30 mark of this video, the teller spoke of smelling something like a wet dog, etc... But he also spoke of a breathing like a really bad asthmatic. This is what caught my attention. I heard the very same noise about 4 nights ago, here in Logan County. My dog was out with me, and she kept looking for the sound. My initial thought was it was a deer. possibly going to grunt. But a grunting sound was never made. I have deer that comes out behind my house, and they graze for apples, and things. this place was where my Uncle used to keep his garden, until he passed about 3 years ago. I did notice that all the crickets went completely silent before this heavy wheezing type sound started. And it was the sudden silence that caught my attention. But I called my pup inside, and went in the house, and gave it no more thought until this video. I never thought we would have such a creature here, especially in Logan County, with all the coal mines working. Maybe it is nothing. But I thought I would comment after listening to the persons tale when he was a young boy of 12.

I have been to Clifftops West Virginia.. Gorgeous country..When I was a child walking through the woods in my area, I'd often think of the bigfoot sightings in the North West and try to tell myself I had nothing to worry about. Then I began hearing local stories..When two relatives of mine had encounters themselves, I began bringing it up to people I knew on the Mountian..I found out that alot of people on the mountain were having these sightings..And all the encounters not one of them said anything about a bad oder which I find strange.
Just last week I was in Sutton, we visited the bigfoot museum. I was amazed at how big the plaster casts were. I talked to the lady in the vedio and shared my experiences with her and she told us about the dude that was hit by a rock thrown by bigfoot, we drove around and commented to my wife, ya know people come here from all over, u would think they would clean up the old abandoned buildings either paint then or tear them down make the place look presentable,. I was ashamed to think people like dr,Jeff meldrom I probably spelled his name wrong. What they thought of the backwoods hill Billies that don't take any more pride in there town. I love wv it is my home.

Congrats on your success brother and you are correct, it is a MAINTENANCE medicine and should not even be used as a "DETOX" medicine and that is the mistake that is made. I use to live in Berkeley Springs WV, Ive grew up hunting and fishing been in the woods my whole life and know the wildlife. One night in 2016 coming home from work late at night I saw what I can only describe as bigfoot standing along side of the road it wasn't huge it I say about 6 feet kind of slender it was brownish red but what I remember most that stays in my mind was it's eyes they were huge and glowing yellow almost nothing like I've ever seen in my life it was no bear it was standing on 2 feet I turned around and went back but it was gone that night has always stayed with me
@@Brotho89 if you turn into sleepy Creek and you continue all the way down that road you’ll come to a point where you can make a left or right the left goes to the campsites, the right goes to some trails and eventually leads out through jones springs by the bow and gun club. Go right for always you come to pull over spot where there’s big boulders everywhere. I was climbing on those boulders and notice something ducking behind the back side of the boulder. I was on the top at this time. I eventually was able to see a big tall figure standing completely pitch black but more slender build than bodybuilder build. I left right away because it scared the hell out of me and I was by myself. At the time I wasn’t into Bigfoot but have had plenty of time to think about and am absolutely convinced it was Bigfoot. Right below sleepy creek before you start up the mountain to go to sleepy creek is where I live near what used to be a big apple orchard. I have two pictures on my channel I’m convinced is Bigfoot or some type of cryptid. I think one is a juvenile peaking out from a tree. And a few blurry photos. All beside my house in the woods there’s signs of Bigfoot activity. Literally huge trees pushed down all over the place that couldn’t have been a storm because tons of trees around perfectly standing. Something had to knock these massive healthy trees down. My girlfriend’s brother spent Spent the night in his car in our driveway and he kept hearing something walking around and he thought it was one of us trying to play a prank on him so he just went back to sleep the next morning. He woke up and there was a gigantic handprint on his windshield. I have plenty of crazy experiences too many to write here but I’ve been growled at several times and rocks thrown at me in the middle of the night. The picture I have with the Bigfoot looking straight at me I felt like I wanted to lay down and go to sleep like severe exhaustion or a trance came of over me but didn’t know why but I made myself snap out of it. Then I noticed the Bigfoot or cryptid in the picture. You can see him from the chest up
West Virginia is still heavily forested almost the same as it was before Europeans arrived. If you look on satellite maps it’s PRIME HABITAT! Such an amazing and highly underrated land.
That marine guys story actually still proves they don’t hurt good people, but if your hurting another person they will hurt you. That builds even more respect for them from me.
Over on Sasquatch Theory's channel several very compelling witnesses recount their experiences in which sasquatch behaved extremely aggressively. Including a Native American who recounted a terrifying experience, who also spoke of his people's elders warning how dangerous they are. I feel they are likely very territorial, especially adult males, and will attempt to dissuade what they consider to be trespassers with aggression, but otherwise may be ambivalent. The problem is, as far as can be surmised, sasquatch has the potential to be the most dangerous predator alive when it wants to be. There is always the possibility that there are fewer witness accounts of sasquatch hurting people, because dead men tell no tales.
Boy I tell ya born in raised in NYC since I moved to Georgia and traveled the east coast I've done had ufo encounters and bigfoot encounters and both of them was scary as hell but one thing is for sure this planet has some secrets I just wish we could know so we can be safer so we can enjoy life without being terrified and dumbfounded on every weird incident I'm so sick of that feeling of not knowing about the unknown
That's insane at 17:21 where I was thinking the same thing in my head "I think it thinks he's trying to hurt her because he threw her out of the water". Then it explains that thats exactly what he was figuring. (JUST A SPECULATION, obviously but,) If you start to picture the bigfoot people as more of an alternate tribal people then you understand that there is a great deal of respect in everything they do and on top of that I'm sure that bigfoot has also encountered and experienced horrific human doings out in remote parts of the wilderness. So it's not too far to say that some bigfoot may be inclined to help those in need from stories they may have passed to each other or something they themselves witnessed.
The bigfoot creature you use in the beginning is so close to what I saw in the mnt. In Oregon. It's face just had a more Human looking nose 👃 not flaired out just like a human with a nose that looked a little wide & sloped or hooked a little upward. But very human looking.
Love the interviews with everyday people. Have never seen one , but I do believe there is a mystery here and good people who had a real experience. Wish each one will at some point get a closer on their personal experience. And at some point we will all be able to expect this as part of our world and let them live their life's as they see fit.
Great stuff as usual guys. Ive often wondered about, if Sasquatch have a strong ability to scent things on the air through their nose? They don't have a snout, and a snout is what gives/holds all the extra scent glands that all the great scent animals like dogs, deer, bear ect. I have heard of accounts of Sasquatch sticking their tongue out, as though they were tasting the air. Anyway. Good stuff as usual guys
I've wondered the same. I would think if they use their sense of smell for hunting and security their whole lives. It would be more developed then ours. Especially if they use their strong sent to mark territory.
And there I was ,concerned about Black Bears.I'm coming over for two weeks, trecking with two mates from England In September, pottering around 'Dolly Sods,New River Gorge,Senecca Rocks,Harpers Ferry. Not only is there 'Big Foot' theres 'Mothman'.When we go out into the wilds over here, they only thing we get hacked off at is wasps.[yellow jackets].Its going to be fun!!!!!!!.

I live in WV and I have seen so much just setting on my front porch at night. They are real and I have seen 5 huge ones myself. 1 young one crossing the road. BUT the thing is I'm seeing things in the tree's everywhere. I have seen young bigfoots in the tree's and now I'm seeing something else. Their black as night with small heads and they are thin and I'm going back to look again but I don't think they have hair on them. Their in the tree's a cross from my house, the gas stations, the mall and restaurants. Go look WV for yourself. Anywhere they can have access to water they are close to. You do 't have to go in the woods to find them, they are coming close to us. Be weary when your out after dark. Believe me or not they can go invisible! I seen one crouching down in my yard out of the corner of my eye and by the time I jerk my head around to look he vanished right in front of me!!! Even if you don't believe me please don't leave our kids alone outside PLEASE!! There is so much more I have seen and I believe there is a reason they are making shelters underground. OPEN YOUR EYES!

There is as much beauty, mystery and high strangeness as you will ever find. There is many a secret unlocked in this particular part of the country. Sorry to keep rambling but I almost never hear anyone talk about that place. I spent every summer out there when I lived in nearby Virginia. Thanks for commenting, I'm as passionate about that place as you. Amazing! Don't forget the one sided spruce trees or the mystically charged Moon Boulders at the top of the Knob. How many times have you climbed Seneca rocks? I'll bet a few! Take Care my friend! Keep that place in your heart!
Always super happy when another Beyond the trail pops into my notifications....keep up the great work..No Aleks or Eli, gutted
I live at the capital of WV Charleston !!! Such a beautiful place to live even thou the valley is slowly decreasing in population. Help us make my home flourish once again #SupportWVLife
This stories are amazing! Nice to hear more from WV!
Bigfoot or not, the geography and topography lessons learned have their own value in watching these docs. Thanks from rugged northern Ontario.
Hi Guys , Marie from South Wales UK 🇬🇧

I was very impressed with the level of intelligence from the guy in the story at 15 minutes
...that's the kind of people I aspire to
While I love your expeditions and am looking forward to part two, these kinds of eyewitness accounts and the fair and open-minded light you shine on them is both a lovely change of pace and a nice setup for what is to come! All my love for Beyond the Trail 💙
Well done. No tongue in cheek here. These were serious reports on a fascinating subject. West Virginia intrigues me.
I love these type of STM documentaries
… Great work👏🏾
Hey man terribly sorry for your loss, what a brave and human thing his video was. Thanks for sharing I'll put together some packages for the homeless around London in her name. Love
I like these videos the best. I live 20 minutes from Minerva and work for the Sheriff’s office that took the report and I’ve worked with the deputy. You guys always do incredible work!
Wow that is super cool!
Great production two thumbs up for the entire team.
My last 10 years of Trucking had me taking my 34 hr break from Virginia To the Ohio line. Great folks in WV all over the State.
Never eyeballed a BF in WV but have in South east Ohio at 54 mile marker on the north bound exit ramp.
More details?
This channel is legit. I appreciate the documentary’s.
The recent transition of videos from search for bigfoot to narrative shows is really good . Because we know finding bigfoot is not possible but listening to those experiences makes me curious and i m addicted to ur channel. Lots of love from India
Glad Patterson didn't think that way .
I think the difference between Patterson and gimlins time is no one was actively searching out these creatures ,I could be wrong.
Best re-enactment of the Flatwoods Creature I've ever seen. The visuals are top-notch in this documentary.
Thanks! Those Flatwoods re-enactments are actually from an earlier Small Town Monsters documentary titled "The Flatwoods Monster: A Legacy of Fear" from 2018!
Well done! Another great Beyond the Trail episode. Very well made
This is so cool.We just went to the Bigfoot Muesum in Sutton and talked with the co owner. She is a really interesting person and hopefully will be back to camp this Fall. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos, always enjoy them.

Great film! Looking forward to part 2.
I love real people talking makes the stories much better
Two years ago, my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and my gift was a roadtrip to WV. Our minds were blown at the beauty we had, up until then, only seen on tv! ❤
He’s not kidding, the population is sparse. Nothing but woods, water and mountains everywhere. Good presentation, ❤enjoyed this. The personal stories are the best. Hope I can see one in this lifetime.
Man those appalachian forests 😀
This was a good episode. Loved the location shots, and learned a little new lore.
I grew up in Boone County, WV and had a sighting
@WALLOWA (Sabe') people don’t realize that they are around. It’s scary.
@WALLOWA (Sabe') I mean if you are doing what you love ie.. hiking, fishing, & camping how is that inviting trouble? Have fun and be safe.
@WALLOWA (Sabe') I had quadruple bypass surgery in 2020 and it’s a little harder for me to get back out in the woods, but I’m getting there. Stay safe
Chris, get ahold of me sometime. I'd love to document your sighting and add it too the record. I'm originally from Boone as well and my sighting I told about here was in hernshaw, my grandmother's nighting that I mentioned was coming up drawdy mountain.
@@wildandweirdjoe do you know where Stringers Branch Road is? If so that’s where I had my siting. That’s where I grew up. People don’t realize that they are just about everywhere.
We'll, it's been about a year now. Did you find out what you were hearing?
Love WV ever since going to WVU in the mid 70's. Now live in MD, not far from Harper's Ferry. Love vacationing near Seneca Rocks and taking the Cass Railway
The whole world is a strange place. GOD is magnificent 💗 and each creation is a mystery in it s own perfection
I’m camping and kayaking along the new river this weekend coincidentally. Wish me luck
Drove thru WV idk how many times, beautiful country!!
Beautiful state.
I made sort of friends with a Sasquatch on the Allegheny front back in 2000. Wish I knew you were making this, I would have told you about it.
Well, you never know -- you might get asked to be in a future video ...
Why not write to STM and let them know what happened, and they might put you in a future video. Look on the web for their website.
I have many stories from southern WV sightings...told by those who never tell and would never want to be filmed or recorded, but I have a few very interesting sightings throughout my decades of interest in the subject!
No big deal but you sure that you weren't on a little to much red juice 🤔,! Lmao, couldn't resist brother, PLEASE don't take this any other way but just having fun, I myself have been on the mataiance program for over 30 yrs. Keep having fun and doing things you love, 👊
@@stevenarruda5902 LOL, none taken my friend. Oh, guess I should also explain, I have had only a very brief sighting of what I'm sure was a sasquatch, however, I have spoke with many veteran hunters, woodsmen, hermits etc. in this area who have many wonderful stories. Congrats on your success brother and you are correct, it is a MAINTENANCE medicine and should not even be used as a "DETOX" medicine and that is the mistake that is made. I only wish everyone would get informed on the subject. HBO did a wonderful series called Addiction and it had a great doctor, the foremost authority on replacement therapy and he explains just how both methadone and suboxone work. Yes, they can be abused like ANY drug, including alcohol, but for some like us...they are life-changing and life savers. Stay strong and I am easygoing and can have fun at my own expense brother. Best wishes for continued success!!!
I use to live in Berkeley Springs WV, Ive grew up hunting and fishing been in the woods my whole life and know the wildlife. One night in 2016 coming home from work late at night I saw what I can only describe as bigfoot standing along side of the road it wasn't huge it I say about 6 feet kind of slender it was brownish red but what I remember most that stays in my mind was it's eyes they were huge and glowing yellow almost nothing like I've ever seen in my life it was no bear it was standing on 2 feet I turned around and went back but it was gone that night has always stayed with me
I have two pictures of bigfoot on my phone from Sleepy Creek
@@StrongerThanBigfoot tell me the experience man
@@StrongerThanBigfootwhat part of sleepy creek? I just hiked there recently.
You can see him from the chest up
Almost heaven, but w Bigfoots!!
Good job & well done!
They say,"Wild Wonderful West Virginia"..but it should be,"Weird Wonderful West Virginia" 😀
Looking forward to hearing you on The confessionals podcast Tuesday :-)
I never thought watching a Sasquatch doc would be the thing it took to make me learn the definition of "serendipitous". Thanks tho.
The videos are well edited and the sound is balanced and the stories are very intriguing.
West Virginia is still heavily forested almost the same as it was before Europeans arrived. If you look on satellite maps it’s PRIME HABITAT! Such an amazing and highly underrated land.
This was a great episode! I have had a sighting in MN. I am a believer and I love this content!
Sabe is absolutely real, 1976 when 17. Long time to live with.
That marine guys story actually still proves they don’t hurt good people, but if your hurting another person they will hurt you. That builds even more respect for them from me.
Amen
Really like the storytelling episodes
New subscriber love Bigfoot new hobby of mine I live in Cherokee Nc several Bigfoot families live here in western North Carolina
(JUST A SPECULATION, obviously but,)
If you start to picture the bigfoot people as more of an alternate tribal people then you understand that there is a great deal of respect in everything they do and on top of that I'm sure that bigfoot has also encountered and experienced horrific human doings out in remote parts of the wilderness. So it's not too far to say that some bigfoot may be inclined to help those in need from stories they may have passed to each other or something they themselves witnessed.
Absolutely love you guys STM
All the way from Leicester England
(No Bigfoot here unfortunately)
Your interviews are awesome! You must put so much time into your research. Thank you.
I have to give praise on the editing and production quality of this channel aside from anything else.
No such thing.SMH
@@wayneduncan36 I'm not even sure what you're referring to

Not only is there 'Big Foot' theres 'Mothman'.When we go out into the wilds over here, they only thing we get hacked off at is wasps.[yellow jackets].Its going to be fun!!!!!!!.
Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, growin' like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
All my memories gather 'round her
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice in the mornin' hour, she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin'
That I should've been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Enjoyed this episode🍂
I like the interviews good video
My father and grandmother encountered one on their farm in Nicholas County just outside of Richwood in the mid 1940's. Whenever my father shared his experience it would scare the hell out of me and my friends, without him trying to do so. He just shared the facts. I have no reason to doubt his story.
Killer intro. Content. By far the best right now.
I love your content!! - Marti (The Nonnaboss Continuum)
Brilliant.. thankyou
I’m in Florida for vacation right now I heard some kinda growl in the woods yesterday my step sister was like it your Bigfoot an I believe they are real so it might have been never heard that sound before in my life 😮
Gators "growl" too. It's more of a bellow than a growl, really. We have alligators here in NC. Did you figure out what you heard? It could have been a swamp ape, as they call them down there.
I could imagine all the unknown creatures out there and we're completely oblivious to them out in the unexplored wilderness and the oceans.
There were three of them I encountered two of them all weekend
It's the mountain state of course bigfoot lives here He's Wild and Wonderful for sure
I’ve been sent reports of them in South West Virginia as well! We aren’t too far from West Virginia.
