As a West Virginian I would like to thank you for depicting our state in a positive manner. Not too many outsiders do. And we have wampus cats as well. ✌🏻

The mascot of Conway (Arkansas) High School is the Wampus Cat. So these wampus cats are different from ordinary panthers? As if seeing an Eastern mountain lion anywhere other than southern Florida is ordinary 😁

My mom was from West Virginia with 8 siblings. I have cousins all over West Virginia and Mom grew up and played in the woods. She never once said she saw a Bigfoot nor did her siblings. I asked my cousin who grew up in Grafton about it and he laughed at me. Somebody in my mom's family has seen one or heard one. They were land rich and pocket poor. All the land that all my Uncle's had, hunted and fished to feed their families. They are out there. When the man said they would pick berries vin this video. It gave me the Willies.

Most folks I've met have a great respect for us Mountaineers our ethics loyalty to family and flag
West Virginia was born of a tumultuous time in history, a political birth
that has had many complications. I am very proud of my roots , yes we bare the brunt of many DNA jokes why I don't know ???
Most of all the European monarchy lines had family members marrying family members but that's

In the mid 60s I had an uncle who was a recluse and lived in a camper in the woods. He had a good sized strawberry patch. One night he saw a huge creature about 8 ft tall and weighed around 800 pounds, standing in the strawberry patch. In the morning he estimated the thing ate around 30 quarts of strawberries.

Has anyone here ever heard of a story about the Rivesville Gaints ?? Rivesville is in Marion County WV. I remember my grandfather talking about it as I was a kid. He was born in 1900 and passed 1993. He Lived in Fairmont WV his whole life. I Digress tho. Grandma had a old Victrola (antique crank style record player) on the back porch that we would all set around on some weekends and listen to music while Pap And Gmaw would tell story's to us kids about things they did and seen as kids. I can distinctly remember Pap talking about a pair of Giants that lived in Rivesville. If I remember correctly they were brothers. Pap claimed he had either seen them several times or his parents had seen them several times. Been a long time and I was very young. But those tails about the Giants always stuck with me. Now that being said, I also remember him saying something about the Catawba/Montana Mines aera. Maybe they were buried there or something. I can't remember. But I do remember Rivesville, Catawba, Montana Mines all being involved. Now Rivesville and Montana Mines by car is 20ish minutes from each other. But as the Crow Flies they are only a couple miles away, across the Monongahela River. Just wondering of anyone else has heard of this tale? Gr8 video Y'all!! Happy to see something cool being put out there about our Beautiful State. Most of the time it's ppl Dragging WV. thru the mud !! Good stuff 👏 👍

@@barrywainwright3391 Barry, how did you like that video? Champion! Only the best! I spent the night in Nut Cave in the bowels of the earth only to climb Spruce Knob later that night to a man who had the top of the line Celestron bucket telescope and we could see clearly all the moons of Jupiter and Jupiter itself was bigger than the moon in the lens. What a day that was! The complete human adventure. That flood of Seneca river really tore that place up for awhile. Dolly Sods, another fantastic place with alpine swamps just like up here in New England where I'm from. Also went to the 50th anniversary of the Flatwoods Monster and met Stanton Friedman of UFO fame. He gave us a lecture on the Rozwell incident at the original site of the "Green Monster" of Braxton County. When they say West Va, "Wild and Wonderful", they aren't kidding. There is as much beauty, mystery and high strangeness as you will ever find. There is many a secret unlocked in this particular part of the country. Sorry to keep rambling but I almost never hear anyone talk about that place. I spent every summer out there when I lived in nearby Virginia. Thanks for commenting, I'm as passionate about that place as you. Amazing! Don't forget the one sided spruce trees or the mystically charged Moon Boulders at the top of the Knob. How many times have you climbed Seneca rocks? I'll bet a few! Take Care my friend! Keep that place in your heart!

At about the n15.30 mark of this video, the teller spoke of smelling something like a wet dog, etc... But he also spoke of a breathing like a really bad asthmatic. This is what caught my attention. I heard the very same noise about 4 nights ago, here in Logan County. My dog was out with me, and she kept looking for the sound. My initial thought was it was a deer. possibly going to grunt. But a grunting sound was never made. I have deer that comes out behind my house, and they graze for apples, and things. this place was where my Uncle used to keep his garden, until he passed about 3 years ago. I did notice that all the crickets went completely silent before this heavy wheezing type sound started. And it was the sudden silence that caught my attention. But I called my pup inside, and went in the house, and gave it no more thought until this video. I never thought we would have such a creature here, especially in Logan County, with all the coal mines working. Maybe it is nothing. But I thought I would comment after listening to the persons tale when he was a young boy of 12.

Gorgeous country..When I was a child walking through the woods in my area, I'd often think of the bigfoot sightings in the North West and try to tell myself I had nothing to worry about. Then I began hearing local stories..When two relatives of mine had encounters themselves, I began bringing it up to people I knew on the Mountian..I found out that alot of people on the mountain were having these sightings..And all the encounters not one of them said anything about a bad oder which I find strange.

@@stevenarruda5902 LOL, none taken my friend. Oh, guess I should also explain, I have had only a very brief sighting of what I'm sure was a sasquatch, however, I have spoke with many veteran hunters, woodsmen, hermits etc. in this area who have many wonderful stories. Congrats on your success brother and you are correct, it is a MAINTENANCE medicine and should not even be used as a "DETOX" medicine and that is the mistake that is made. I only wish everyone would get informed on the subject. HBO did a wonderful series called Addiction and it had a great doctor, the foremost authority on replacement therapy and he explains just how both methadone and suboxone work. Yes, they can be abused like ANY drug, including alcohol, but for some like us...they are life-changing and life savers. Stay strong and I am easygoing and can have fun at my own expense brother. Best wishes for continued success!!!

I use to live in Berkeley Springs WV, Ive grew up hunting and fishing been in the woods my whole life and know the wildlife. One night in 2016 coming home from work late at night I saw what I can only describe as bigfoot standing along side of the road it wasn't huge it I say about 6 feet kind of slender it was brownish red but what I remember most that stays in my mind was it's eyes they were huge and glowing yellow almost nothing like I've ever seen in my life it was no bear it was standing on 2 feet I turned around and went back but it was gone that night has always stayed with me

@@Brotho89 if you turn into sleepy Creek and you continue all the way down that road you’ll come to a point where you can make a left or right the left goes to the campsites, the right goes to some trails and eventually leads out through jones springs by the bow and gun club. Go right for always you come to pull over spot where there’s big boulders everywhere. I was climbing on those boulders and notice something ducking behind the back side of the boulder. I was on the top at this time. I eventually was able to see a big tall figure standing completely pitch black but more slender build than bodybuilder build. I left right away because it scared the hell out of me and I was by myself. At the time I wasn’t into Bigfoot but have had plenty of time to think about and am absolutely convinced it was Bigfoot.
Right below sleepy creek before you start up the mountain to go to sleepy creek is where I live near what used to be a big apple orchard. I have two pictures on my channel I’m convinced is Bigfoot or some type of cryptid. I think one is a juvenile peaking out from a tree. And a few blurry photos. All beside my house in the woods there’s signs of Bigfoot activity. Literally huge trees pushed down all over the place that couldn’t have been a storm because tons of trees around perfectly standing. Something had to knock these massive healthy trees down.
My girlfriend’s brother spent Spent the night in his car in our driveway and he kept hearing something walking around and he thought it was one of us trying to play a prank on him so he just went back to sleep the next morning. He woke up and there was a gigantic handprint on his windshield. I have plenty of crazy experiences too many to write here but I’ve been growled at several times and rocks thrown at me in the middle of the night. The picture I have with the Bigfoot looking straight at me I felt like I wanted to lay down and go to sleep like severe exhaustion or a trance came of over me but didn’t know why but I made myself snap out of it. Then I noticed the Bigfoot or cryptid in the picture. You can see him from the chest up

Over on Sasquatch Theory's channel several very compelling witnesses recount their experiences in which sasquatch behaved extremely aggressively. Including a Native American who recounted a terrifying experience, who also spoke of his people's elders warning how dangerous they are. I feel they are likely very territorial, especially adult males, and will attempt to dissuade what they consider to be trespassers with aggression, but otherwise may be ambivalent. The problem is, as far as can be surmised, sasquatch has the potential to be the most dangerous predator alive when it wants to be. There is always the possibility that there are fewer witness accounts of sasquatch hurting people, because dead men tell no tales.

That's insane at 17:21 where I was thinking the same thing in my head "I think it thinks he's trying to hurt her because he threw her out of the water". Then it explains that thats exactly what he was figuring.
    (JUST A SPECULATION, obviously but,)
If you start to picture the bigfoot people as more of an alternate tribal people then you understand that there is a great deal of respect in everything they do and on top of that I'm sure that bigfoot has also encountered and experienced horrific human doings out in remote parts of the wilderness. So it's not too far to say that some bigfoot may be inclined to help those in need from stories they may have passed to each other or something they themselves witnessed.

Great stuff as usual guys. Ive often wondered about, if Sasquatch have a strong ability to scent things on the air through their nose? They don't have a snout, and a snout is what gives/holds all the extra scent glands that all the great scent animals like dogs, deer, bear ect. I have heard of accounts of Sasquatch sticking their tongue out, as though they were tasting the air. Anyway. Good stuff as usual guys

    Almost heaven, West Virginia
    Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, growin' like a breeze
    Country roads, take me home
    To the place I belong
    West Virginia, mountain mama
    Take me home, country roads
All my memories gather 'round her
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
    Country roads, take me home
    To the place I belong
    West Virginia, mountain mama
    Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice in the mornin' hour, she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin'
That I should've been home yesterday, yesterday
    Country roads, take me home
    To the place I belong
    West Virginia, mountain mama

I live in WV and I have seen so much just setting on my front porch at night. They are real and I have seen 5 huge ones myself. 1 young one crossing the road. BUT the thing is I'm seeing things in the tree's everywhere. I have seen young bigfoots in the tree's and now I'm seeing something else. Their black as night with small heads and they are thin and I'm going back to look again but I don't think they have hair on them. Their in the tree's a cross from my house, the gas stations, the mall and restaurants. Go look WV for yourself. Anywhere they can have access to water they are close to. You do 't have to go in the woods to find them, they are coming close to us. Be weary when your out after dark. Believe me or not they can go invisible! I seen one crouching down in my yard out of the corner of my eye and by the time I jerk my head around to look he vanished right in front of me!!! Even if you don't believe me please don't leave our kids alone outside PLEASE!! There is so much more I have seen and I believe there is a reason they are making shelters underground. OPEN YOUR EYES!
