I'm from Florida, so Tiger King is some normal shit to me. But everyone's reactions to it tells me that not everyone understands the true evils of Florida, and that in Florida, Mad Max is real and even shittier than you can possibly imagine. No laws, no rules, no reason. Only chaos.
There are literally 4 different types of Batman villain in this documentary. An eccentric lunatic animal tamer, a potential black widow environmentalist with a strange past, a hippy cult leader with multiple wives, and an actual tiger owning former drug lord. Even one of those would make the audience say it's unrealistic.
Sweet innocent Pat believes he has a good understanding of how insane this show is from watching only the first episode. I can’t wait for them to come back next week after he’s seen just how much deeper the madness goes.

The story of the tiger king is much like the story of Chris-Chan, there are no heroes in this story only villains and then it becomes about which villain do you like the most.
To me, the actual question isn't which villain do you like the most because it's so obviously Joe. The real question is "Which of these people is the most hateable to you?" and "Which of these people is actually the most evil?"

I started watching it today (I was a bit leery because I've worked with some wildcats so I have some Opinions™️ about exotic pets) and wow are there some characters on that show. But they hit the nail on the head with how you feel working with them. You feel real powerful, and I can see how it can be addicting.

Capturing The Friedmans is what I consider to be a example of a great "accidental" documentary. It started off being about party clowns in New York, then evolved into being about a pedophile scandal.

Unironically how close is this to Grizzly Man? Because I’ve been seeing this comparison and I need to know.
The people they focus on are both closely associated with animals, but Grizzly Man actually cared about bears while Tiger King just uses them as props.
