#AlienResurrection
Something I've noticed about the brief interaction between the queen and the newborn, the queen has experienced something no xenomorph has felt before, love, actual love.
Idk, the queen in Aliens was willing to let Ripley go, she recognized the threat of a flamethrower, and ordered her royal guards to retreat. Now, I guess you could say it was just survival instinct, but the way she screeches when Ropley originally demonstrates the flame thrower, and then turns to look at two Xenos newrby and hisses, it's clear that she's more than just an animal driven by survival instinct.
Her further rage upon seeing the eggs destroyed, and her chase after Ripley, to them turn to Newt, she knew what she was doing - it was like If she could talk, she would say "You murdered my children, now I'm going to kill your child." Very motherly, in my opinion.
@@ragingsaviorkami9862u just went somewhere else
@@mroctober8540bye that’s literally what happened
@@ragingsaviorkami9862 Queen wasn't letting Ripley go. It knew one its eggs would open and a Facehugger would attach to her, which is why Ripley gave her that look before torching the place.
Yeah. And all that love and related actions should have not been filmed.
3:11 that sound it makes. It's strangely adorable.
If the Newborn can kill an Alien Queen with one swipe within 2 minutes of being born, imagine it being an adult.
She was completely immobilized, in agonizing pain from childbirth, and drunk lol. The Alien Queen from Aliens or the first Alien vs. Predator film would tear the Newborn to shreds.
The Queen from AVP in particular was an absolute beast. She was tearing through whale bones and houses like they were nothing. Not to mention that she managed to claw her way through literal miles of hard ice from the pyramid all the way to the surface.
@@raducoman6423to be fair that queen was thousands of years old and a whole lot stronger than this one.
@@anon2407 Agreed! If the baby grew proportionately to the little chestburster in "Alien". We may be looking at a potential for ? Well if the chestburster was 6" inches. And the final adult was 8ft. tall. That comes out to 24 times it's birth size. So, let's do the math. The baby newborn was said to be roughly 8ft at birth in "Resurrection". 24 X 8ft.=, anyone got a calculator? But my calculations could be wrong.

The newborn is scarier than any xenomorph could ever be.
I agree. This film is so underrated. The whole thing is a fever dream. That thing scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.
@@Omnivolv still does. If Ripley hadn't defeated it the way she did, it would of kicked everyone's ass.. As a newborn
Fr. Thing is immensely creepy.
Its human looking
@@Asura_productions for sure. The human skull has to be one of the creepiest looking things.
I always thought a Xenomorph/Human hybrid was redundant considering the fact that dont Xenomorphs take characteristics of their host? So arent they already part human?
The Newborn isn’t like other xenomorphs. It wasn’t hatched. Rather, it was birthed so it has more human characteristics
What the other guy said, xenos hatch from the facehugger eggs, which themselves come from the queens eggs.
But this guy was born straight from the queen
I see it more like virology: like how when certain viruses like envelopes viruses infect and hijack a cell, the new viruses when they explode out incorporate some of the host cell’s cell membrane to better help them get around in the bloodstream.
This movie takes place 200 years after the of Ripley's death. The Ripley in this movie is the latest in a long series of clones made to try and revive Ripley, and to study Xenomorphs.
When Ripley 8 was made, she was made with an Alien Embryo inside of her, which was extracted and hatched.
Ripley 8 therefore, has stronger stats as a result of having Alien DNA, and the Newborn Xenomorph is a result of basically being her direct grandchild.
Yep
The movie has such a red/brown colour palette that looks like a sewage.
😂
Red? See a doctor, friend.
Perhaps a brown with a reddish undertone, although maybe it’s just more of a sepia/doodoo/poop color palette
The movie is sewage
i love that
this thing seriously freaked me out as a kid

Only other movie creature that has given me such nightmares are Robocain from Robocop 2.
Yeah, they really tried to freak us the hell out in the late 90s. This and "Monster Ock" in that Neversoft Spider-Man game reignited my fear of the dark for a while. lmao
@@1980sforever I take it you haven't watched The Fly remake with Jeff Goldblum. Because I'd have both Cain and the Newborn for first and second best too, if it wasn't for that thing

Was very happy to see the homage to this film in Romulus. Fede Alvarez knocked it out the park!
@@nowwhytwo1636it was an engineer Zeno human hybrid, but the concept of a third act hybrid creation was clearly taken from this film. Since it defied out expectations for how the film would naturally end after the regular xenomorph threat was neutralized
Technically this film takes place in the future so it could still be canon
Funniest part, is that I just heard that he literally didn’t do that on purpose. Was a complete coincidence by fate. This Newborn is still FAR more terrifying.
but he copied too much. the last half hour of Romulus is just a repeat of scenes.

Dawg this movie sucks
I dont care what People say about this Movie, i really liked this Movie. Mostly because of how Brutal and Sometimes how Creepy those Scenes become. I also dont understand why everyone is so Mad about it because the Movie is meant to Show a diffrent Style with Cloned Xenomorphs instead of normal Xenomorphs and the Fact that it is taking Place 200 Years After Alien 3, made a Movie that really stands out. People can hate this Movie but i will always have a Heart for this Movie. Also the Movie its doing a good Job on standing on its own, Sure its not a Masterpiece like Alien or Aliens but thats Perfectly fine for me because they tried a diffrent Style and i think thats a good and creative way too. And now to the Elephant in the Room (Newborn). I think its one of my Favorite Monster Designs, Little Pumpkinheads Design is my Third Favorite Design with only the Queen and classic Big Chap that can top this Design. Is the Newborn ugly? Yes. Is it a Monster? Absolutly. Does it deserve all that hate? Absolutly not because in a way it explains that the Xenomorphs will always evolve even if they were only Clones, with things like the Black Goo from Prometheus and Alien Covenant, you can even say now that in some the Dna of the Xenomorphs fused together with Ripleys Dna in order to create new Life, a Theme that Plays perfect into Prometheus and kinda Mirrors the Birth of the Trilobite and later the Deacon only with the Point that the Queen is now giving Birth. Overall i really enjoyed the Movie and After Prometheus and Alien Covenant, it became my one of my Favorite Alien Movies. Yes nothing beats the classic but we should also give new Movies a Chance too because lets face it, no Movie in the Alien Franchise will ever be as good as Alien or Aliens, its a true classic that you cant beat. But for me, Alien Resurrection is a good Movie with some Flaws, its not a Perfect Movie but its also far away from being Perfect and People should give it a Chance, if you Look the Movie for what it is and not with the Expectation that it will be better than the Classics then you can Enjoy this Movie as much as People can Enjoy Alien 3 or Prometheus 😊
Go up-vote new Star Wars too you waste
@@scientist1417 everyone can like diffrent Things, Star Wars did lost his Style because Disney is not doing good with the Franchise but Disney is doing it on Purpose to get Money. Its a big diffrences between Creating a Movie that then People Not like OR Creating a Movie just Grab Money from Fans. What Disney is doing to Star Wars is not Star Wars anymore but you cant compare this Situation with the Hate on Alien Resurrection and you should let People like what they want. People have their own thinking and when someone is saying he likes to eat Pizza then you dont have to like it too because everyone else says it

@@FatherFigure-itout it could have been a masterpiece. I would have said no to the cgi.
@@danielreed4164 agreed, but for the time it was made it wasn't bad. It just doesn't hold up well over the years.

Damn the special effects are amazing
This scene always creeped me out and disturbed me
That thing, baby or whatever is deadlier than the mother queen
Nah, she was just unable to fight back and massively weakened by the childbirth process.
I never had any problemes with this scene. It is the peak of human's hubris in playing god in this franchise.
The movie itself also did a lot of things right. The Xenomorphs looked great, the ship's design also, the main cast has some remorable charakters (R.i.P. Christie!) and the action is okay, too.
Factores that are missed often this days ...
cant unhear chucky
I have no idea how I just realised that was Brad Dourif 😂
3:17 Her face being like wtf is everyone’s reaction 😂😂😂
“I identify myself as a white human.”
This comment is underrated af 😂😂
It’s ok to be white.
Every time I see this scene and the part where the baby (a combination of alien and human DNA) smacks off the queen aliens head it always reminds me that no matter how badass the alien is it's still no match for for the human race .. a species that always have and always will try to annihilate anything that comes within striking distance
Probably the reason why the Engineers wanted to destroy us.
The only form more dangerous than humans was the Androids like David which is our own creation.
The Mala'kak created the Engineers...who created us and we created the Androids.
It's weird that this half-Xenomorph half-human thing is seemingly even more powerful than a regular xenomorph. It just tore a Queen's head apart. Not what I would have expected.
But that queen wasnt pure I think she was weaker
I wonder how David would’ve felt about this.
Since he sees the Xenomorphs as Perfect, he could see it (and this is also my Personal thinking) as a New Step in Evolution, showing that Xenomorph can reproduce on their own without Eggs and Facehuggers. This would be truely the Perfect Life Form because the Newborn has in a way every Feature that the Xenomorph had Not. It can Show Emotion, Human understanding and even has a knowlege of how to Survive and be a Alpha. The other Xenomorphs didnt even Bother to attack it after it killed the Queen. Maybe out of Respect but my Personal thinking is that they left the Newborn Alone because the Xenomorphs were Scared of this Abomination, if it is capble of ripping Parts of the Queens head off then the Newborn is insanly Strong and would probably kill every other Xenomorph that would Come to close. So if we Look at everything, i think David would be proud that his Children truely became a Perfect Life Form
Perfection.
Good question. As much as I disliked Alien: Covenant for ruining Prometheus, what I did enjoy was David's work perfecting the xenomorphs, building upon what the Engineers started. I couldn't help but think of Alien: Resurrection while watching Covenant.
freaks me the f*ck out.
Ooh look at his head .. Im gonna eat me some brain. That was pretty brutal not gonna lie
2:46 "NnnnnNOT THE MAMA!"
such a weird idea for aliens... tho i kinda like it
this is by far the best of the alien series, it captures all the best aspects of the series all in one movie. The alien scenes were so bad ass expect for the water part, the queen is in it and the most bad ass human alien hybrid creature you could possibly create. Not to mention topping it off with the amazin deformed clone scene which was just a simple bonus. This movie beats all, I never understood any of the criticism towards it, it is a perfect master piece.

This scene really messed me up as a kid
I was honestly pissed that the queen was betrayed and killed by this abomination. I didn’t feel sorry for that abomination that died after.
That abomination only killed the queen cause he didn't recognise her has his mother newborn has way more human dna thant any other xeno
I feel the same way...and it was sad that its mother died such horrible death. Very sad to watch.
Yes. It was so disappointing. I was so hyped for the Queen and they did her so dirty.
This movie was always my favorite of the Alien Franchise
Okay... Romulus did this right.
This... I don't like debating canonicity.... but if there was an element of the Alien canon worth striking, it's this whole damn movie
The Hybrid is walked so the Offspring could run. The Brother and Sister duo of the Alien movies.
The working theory is the Newborn killed the Queen the same way Queen Bees do when they are born at the same time. The strongest rules the hive
Just came back from watching Romulius and this scene will never be the same again now that we got to see a newer more terrifying and horrific version of the newborn as the films final boss

Romulus was only good for the first half of the movie, then it went downhill fast. Also, it was just an Aliens Greatest Hits movie. It copied every other movie. Plus, the writing was garbage. Alien 1 and 2 were the best. Everything else is disposable and forgettable.

All. Of. Us.
Enough time has passed. Welcome back
The chucky scream is the best part
The typical xenomorph is likely dervived from a supercell mass that exists within the black ooze the face huggers squeeze down their preys throats. This typically leads to a stripping and genetic reshuffling of some of the cells of the host impregnated.
This most often leads to an embryo forming within the abdominal cavity of a creature and eventually bursting up and out through its ribcage. This type of standard birth allows the alien egg to extract the bare minimum of dna needed to make the resulting alien appropriate for that creatures planet. This factor is to ensure that either the goo or a face hugger injecting the goo will always have a viable host no matter where they go. This is why the standard xenomorpg has two arms, legs, and a habit of engaging in primitive ambush tactics. This most often results in an alien that is around 85% alien and only borrowing about 15ish % of the dna needed to go to a planet and be successful.
This live birthing is a mutation of the queens standard egg laying process. The alien produced would be a hybrid much closer to the middle ground. This thing was likely closer to half human half alien.
In my opinion this movie was way better and with high rewatch value than Alien 3 and Covenant. Would love to see older Ripley against aliens with the new casts, sadly this timeline is too far ahead unless Alien 3 ending and resurrection never happened and she ended up in different human colony planet but thats unlikely 😂
Anyone back here after that fucking visual assault of a fucked up finale in Alien Romulus?…

The visuals hold up still, it’s the movements of the creature that don’t.

Romulus newborn had a terrible creature design and introduction. I laughed and shook my head in disbelief. Also, Romulus was an Aliens Greatest Hits film that just stole from everyone else. Romulus is highly derivative (to be nice), which makes it disqualified.
