Thanks for watching guys! I hope to see a smaller case option available in the future here (haha that is becoming a common ask for me). Just to move my question from the end of the video into the comments, what watch brands have you seen growing in popularity in your region throughout the world?
In my country Honduras the most popular watches are Fossil, Q&Q, Invicta. In the Decades of the 80s and 90s in my grandfather's jewelry (no longer exists) Alpina, Cartier and Rolex were sold ... If you want to know something surprising: The President of my country, military, politicians and businessmen are drug traffickers and in New York many drug traffickers are judged. A narco had a collection of 50 Rolex watches and a Honduran gang member named: Chele Houston had a Royal OAK collection ...
The more I see these expensive dive-watch themed watches, the more I appreciate how handsome my Casio diver is for the price.. Thanks for the nice work as usual!
Every watch brand in the near future: We’re introducing a new model that’s so small it can’t be measured with conventional mathematics. Teddy: It’s nice, but I’d appreciate a smaller case size.
I just purchased a late 90s Omega Seamaster wave dial and honestly if I would've known this existed I may have purchased it instead. I really like the look of it and the bracelet for the Aikon is excellent. I'm assuming it's the same bracelet for this dive model. Oh well, at least it's made it onto my list now.
authentic, with identity, elegant and nothing pretentious: I really like AIKON, I would like to have one .... Thank you Mr. Teddy for another great watch ... I have a PRIM Orlik 38 watch in my hand ...
Nice piece, and a touch more original than an Aikon. But at that price you’d have to seriously consider if you’d take it over a 39.5mm Oris Aquis. I’d probably opt for the Oris personally
Homage styles have moved on from Submariner to Royal Oak themes. And while all were complaining about that in the past, not so now. Is the reason that this is a Swiss beand maybe? Nice video, well done
Hi Teddy, it’s good to see a bit of mid level luxury brands that we don’t know that much. I’d be interested to know more about swiss brands in this range such as Raymond Weil , Longines, mont blanc etc
Over here in the Philippines, at the $1500-2000 MSRP price range, Oris is king. A bit higher than that and before Tudor range, Tag Heuer is the popular choice.
Good evening from Sweden Teddy! Been super into your channel lately. Love the stuff, you got me into watches a lot more and i just bought my first Omega Seamaster Vintage from Chrono24 and i love it. Such an amazing hobby, hopefully I won't buy a new watch every month now haha. Take care.
Here in Houston TX I seem to be running into a lot of Rolex Deep Sea among young business professionals. Bit large for my 6 1/4 wrist personally. Also a lot of smaller Casio variants of F91w, a158, a168 it’s really cool to see these little guys popping up everywhere! Occasionally I run into someone with a vintage Hamilton, Cartier or glycine but for some reason none of the newer models. Not exactly the diversity I’d like to see, but I’d rather see any than not at all😁
Teddy, great review as always. While I do love the coin-edge finishing I can't help, however, finding this watch overall uninspiring. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it leaves something to be desired.
I'm sure I'm not the only one receiving the Watch Trading Academy videos. I'm not even considering the thing, but I was wondering if you'd be able to interview the guys from there or at least make a video on it. Thanks Teddy!
Rado is very popular in India. I think since late 80s because of their golden models because we people are obsessed with gold. Tag Heuer is also popular but not as much as rado. And third and last brand is Hublot as they sponsor cricketers and it is biggest sport in this part of the world.
Longines hydroconquest is a better choice imo. Better movement and that's just a fact. Everything else subjective but I think that's the way to go at there prices
Thanks! Two very different watches in their style. If you like the high end luxury steel sports look, I would go ML. If you like the traditional diver look, go Aquis. It’s up to you though ultimately!
Songtsen Takang I had the Blue Aikon and wish I hadn’t sold it. Beautiful looks a d the fit was great. Just my two cent. Buy used or online they have a huge depreciation.
I own this watch. It is gorgeous to look at. However the luminous dial is really bad. You need to shine a very bright light or torch on it for it to light up in the dark.
If you look at the limited edition bronze version, you'll notice that it has no date to ruin the symmetry of the watch. They should have a 6 o'clock date or no date
Hello Teddy. I am new to watches, when would be best to wear a leather vs. metal bracelet? I have purchased two watches 1. Omega Seamaster Vintage with leather strap and 2. Seiko SARX045 but I am not sure when best to wear them.
Very nice watches. Spec for spec probably better than any diver at the price (and better than many asking for much more). The helium escape valve does bother me a bit and they run thick. However, otherwise great watches. Thanks for watching, Tim! Guten Tag!!
Hello Teddy! Man I love your vídeos and your collection, especially the max bill! I wanted to ask and hopefully you will see this comment, do you know a cheaper option that is as similar as your max bill as possible? I love your but is way to expensive, in my country $1500 is almost half my salary and with my daughter recently born is actually almost impossible for me to save this amount of money, so if you could recomend a watch for a lower amount that is as similar as your max bill, it would be the best! Thank and keep doing your videos, I love them
I'm a big fan of ML I have the Aikon and have been trying to see the new version for a while without success . I did hear that Rolex paid ML an outstanding amount of money for Roger Federer as a brand ambassador back in the day , any truth in this rumour ?
Hey Teddy, what's your favorite budget (sub $300) alternative to the Omega Speedmaster, particularly the moonwatch? I really love the Moonwatch Professional Moonphase Chronograph, but it's astronomically out of my price range.
Great review. The rubber/silicone band is an automatic fail for me. Nothing feels better than a buttery soft leather watch band. I know where to get some good ones, too!
I understand how some watches have more potent lume on the hands than the indices, but not the other way around like this one as seen on the lume shot. Come on, Maurice Lacroix, the main function of a watch is to tell the time.
Hey Teddy. Greetings from Spain. I wanted to ask your opinion about my next investment. I'm looking to buy a watch in the range of 1000 and i want something beautiful and also good as investment. Something that will not loose value. Can you pls advise me. Will be my entry in quality watches. I'm a classic type of guy, elegant and vintage lover. Thank you. Hope to get an answer soon.
The Indians go gaga over Rado and the next is Tag Huer. It's a great watch for the middle-class people in India . The upper class has no limit , they can afford brands like Rolex , Omega , AP , PP, etc. like Criscketers, multimillionaires , celebrities ..
Hey guys, just wanna ask here. what is the ideal frequency of buying watches? once a year, twice a year, or more? thanks in advance. love u content @Teddy Baldassarre
mmmh... I agree with the fact that they are photogenic. I've never had the chance to see one in real life but the 2k price point is a bit of a downside to me. Maybe it's me not being well informed but I'm not willing to pay that price point for an lesser known brand. It's a design that it's not going to become a classic, it's not as appealing or different to become interesting over time, it doesn't have any mechanical supremacy... so it's just an average watch with about the same price of a brellum chrono (better complication and specs), more than a zodiac (better story, brand and specs), more than a ming (much more desiderable) and so on... I'm just not 100% convinced
This brand does absolutely nothing for me. Very bland and mediocre stuff that I would put in a class with lower tier stuff like Tag Heuer and Raymond Weil. Yuck.
Maurice Lacroix is the Kia of the watch industry. Copying bits and pieces from like 4-5 models from different brands and blend'em in a deja-vu watch 😂 I hate that these youtube channels don't have the guts to call a 2019 38hrs power reserve watch for what it is: a *SHITTER* 😂😂
SpaghettiKillah While I understand that some people have strong opinions towards homage watches, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to justify drop >$30k on a watch. With that in mind, I don’t know how else I could enjoy the “AP Royal Oak” experience with my usual watch budget of sub-$10k. I’m definitely thinking of picking one of these up early next year.
@@SpaghettiKillah I mean at the end of the day, I don't think that the movement is the end all be all. Look at Oris. They don't have in house movements at all and no one complains about their value proposition in the market. Their Diver 65, depending on the variation, easily run over $2k. You also have to consider the heritage, dial design, build quality, overall feel of the watch, etc etc. At the end of the day, I'm not merely buying a watch for the movement. It's just one factor. Another recent acquisition that highlights my point is Tudor Black Bays. I would rather buy the ETA smiley versions of the watch than their in house movement versions because the new movement required the case thickness to be unlofty and disporportional. I almost pulled the trigger on an Tudor black bay ETA Smiley but I luckily had the opportunity to buy the Black Bay 58, which has the benefit of an in house movement while perfecting the size of the watch.
Thanks for watching guys! I hope to see a smaller case option available in the future here (haha that is becoming a common ask for me). Just to move my question from the end of the video into the comments, what watch brands have you seen growing in popularity in your region throughout the world?

Teddy Baldassarre would you like to review my Aikon Skeleton?
Hey Teddy! There is an Aikon Venturer 38mm with a black dial now, would you be able to do a review on that too? Cheers
The more I see these expensive dive-watch themed watches, the more I appreciate how handsome my Casio diver is for the price.. Thanks for the nice work as usual!
Which one do you have?
You better reply to teddy . hes asking which one you have. I have a citizen dive watch and I love it
@@TeddyBaldassarre Hey Teddy, sorry about the late reply. MDV 106A, it is!
I love my Duro. I put it on a bracelet that cost twice the price of the watch, and it looks like a 2k timepiece
Victor, where'd you buy a bracelet for duro?
Every watch brand in the near future: We’re introducing a new model that’s so small it can’t be measured with conventional mathematics.
Teddy: It’s nice, but I’d appreciate a smaller case size.
Lol. Nice one J. J. H!
Really nice to see Maurice Lacroix coming back. Always had a soft spot for them and own none.... the Venturer looks really nice.
39mm Aikon with a blue dial, is a killer
I just purchased a late 90s Omega Seamaster wave dial and honestly if I would've known this existed I may have purchased it instead. I really like the look of it and the bracelet for the Aikon is excellent. I'm assuming it's the same bracelet for this dive model. Oh well, at least it's made it onto my list now.
Damn. Thats a pretty penny. Im saving for the Oris dive watch. I think I'll keep working towards the oris. But this watch is nice too
oris is overpriced
authentic, with identity, elegant and nothing pretentious: I really like AIKON, I would like to have one ....
Thank you Mr. Teddy for another great watch ...
I have a PRIM Orlik 38 watch in my hand ...
Thanks for watching Norman!
A watch with a great legacy! I hope you'll enjoy your PRIM once you get it (I love mine)
Thank-you for introducing me to Frederick Constant. That's going to be my next watch . For now, I bought Rado Captain Cook with the diamonds. 😊
I guess grand seiko is growing like crazy as more and more people realising their awesomeness.

Awesome watches from a underrated company
Underrated brand.
Oh man i wish i could participate in that watch competition in New york! Sounds like fun! Another great vid teddy!

It's their coolest model yet. The ETApocalypse is coming, no doubt. Love to see this in a 39.
How did I miss this release...? Great looking watch, another model to consider for my next acquisition!

Greeting Melker! Thanks so much for watching and happy to have you here! No get to bed you’re up late 😂😂
Here in Wales U.K., rotary is popular so would be good to see a video on high end rotary watches. I’m big fan of Longines and Maurice Lacriox

Call your watch icon...That’s one way to do it
My area, the tri-state area, I see more people are getting into Oris and Hamilton.
Bill Kokkinis there’s been a big push + maybe you just notice more now you’re into watches :)
Off the beaten path eh? Far from being a small brand, but still very fun to see a lesser known brand. I like it.
Thanks for watching!
Teddy, great review as always. While I do love the coin-edge finishing I can't help, however, finding this watch overall uninspiring. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it leaves something to be desired.

In France the rebirth of the Yema brand have really made some waves in last years. Especially with their heritage collection and in-house movement.
The price is good. Good job Maurice Lacroix...Bell n Ross BR05 should be in this price range too, then its worth to buy. Just my humble opinion
I like the Aikon without a date. It currently only comes in bronze now. Hope the release one in stainless. I might buy that...

Random question but would you recommend the Maurice Lacroix Aikon 42mm or the Oris Aquis?

Awesome piece, really like it
It's mostly Casio and Seiko over here in Costa Rica, a lot of Timex lately and I'm starting to see a little bit of Skagen too
In Nicaragua I have always seen a lot of Fossils, Q&Q and sometimes a Seiko.
Might be my next watch, but i dont like butterfly clasp and 43mm...Have to see it in person...
Great review! It looks like the lume is pretty bad for the price
Any list videos upcoming? Love them! Thanks!
Great video, Teddy! Would you consider reviewing the 38mm Girard-Perregaux Laureato?
If you look at the limited edition bronze version, you'll notice that it has no date to ruin the symmetry of the watch.
They should have a 6 o'clock date or no date
Hmmmm. Bad photo or is the lume on the hands really weak?
Hello man. Just a question: what do u choose oris aquis39.5 black or aikon venturer 38 black as well and same sellitasw200 with 16 cm wrist size?
Very nice piece from ML, but I'd rather see it on a 40/41case and an ETA rather than the SW200.

Teddy, What do you think of the Glashutte Original Sport?
Teddy,
You should interview Ming Tsai about his love of food and watches.
Is the cost justified in design, especially coming with a Selitta?

There’s a speck of dust at the center of the second hand so big I see it all the time. Poor QC for that price!
