It is very important that on those hot summer dog show days, you are ready to keep your dog cool before they get too hot AND to cool them down if they do get overheated. Allison talks about how she uses a cooler, ice and ice packs, portable fans, shammies and towels to make sure her dogs stay cool as can be at summer shows.

How do you balance a water-based cooling system, whether it's a wet towel/cooling jacket or misting system, with preventing skin infections, especially with a heavy-coated dog? My previous service dog was a chow mix, and my current is a sibe/malamute, both prone to hot spots and worse if left damp for too long.
