    lol...I have them in my fridge right now, I added fresh basil from my "garden" and I did add salt to the peppers before adding to the jar. I can't make large quantities - tiny fridge on board, but I keep a jar handy - that and pickled onions. :) They make excellent condiments on bread or sandwiches or burgers or...

    Buona Dominica 🙌 Ladies. Don’t you love it in winter when you make those crispy veal cutlets and a side of roasted peppers 🫑. We used to put them on the BBQ. But now its the same way you made them. Delicious 🥰😋😋😋

    I do not use seed oils, so why not use olive oil? And do you keep these in the refrigerator or are they shelf stable? Growing up my mother charred Anaheim chilies, what a treat. She would stuff them with a mixture of any kind of cheese and a little bit of any kind of meat dip them in egg and fried them. Yum.

      In our family recipe we use neutral oil- ex: avocado oil- and when we are ready to eat it we dress it up with some olive oil and vinegar and spices etc
      We usually put them in plastic bags in the freezer or in the fridge- or cantina (cold room) a good quality olive oil will solidify in the fridge …
      Many ppl have their own ways :) the garlic is our choice of preservative !
      Your way sounds absolutely delicious yum!!!

    why not olive oil?

      @lovewhatueat  Месяц назад

      You can use olive oil however if placed in the fridge- a good quality olive oil will solidify 🫶🏼 and growing up we either placed them in freezer bags to store in freezer or directly in the fridge

      @@lovewhatueat Are they not shelf stable once submerged in oil? why do they need to be stored in the fridge ?

    • @lovewhatueat
      @lovewhatueat  Месяц назад +1

      @@wesingtogether as long as it’s stored in a cold dark space it is shelf stable if fully submerged in oil yes and with another preservative : we use garlic as a preservative- you can also soak the roasted peppers in some vinegar before submerging in oil as well 🫶🏼
