@@TabletopKnights In the two player scenario, its the same deal. If you are unlucky enough to find the NPC early, you have to protect it and still wander around the board unneccessarily. Makes it very easy for the Controller to just camp at the remaining points for the Player Characters.
The only thing i can think of is that it is to stop a first turn? Maybe minimum of second turn, win if the NPC is in the close ruin. But they have balanced it way too far the other way
re: Empower. We place it out like you guys did, we place a cube on each of the 2 abilities that were paid for (so that we know which ones are in effect) and we don't place it into strat discards until the next time the Strat Activation card comes up (so it remains active for each controller character's next activation). Defs needs further clarity though, agree with you guys re that!
ive played it twice (not AI) and players cannot win! The controller reserves ability is so so powerful that he can do it as many times as has the power to do so. This make it to where I can attack with minions multiple times on same activation, killing player heroes easily. And thus easily getting the three KOs to win. Brutal
the Strat Activation is the toughest part. According to the rulebook, it's only 1x Strat Card per Strat Activation - defs try playing this way as per rulebook rather than the ref card (which we like to think of as a misprint re 2x flips instead of 1!). It's way too difficult otherwise. Goon on yas for giving it a red hot go though :) Fun to watch, tyvm for that. We might try it again ourselves in a minute! Played as Mermista the other day - she is AWESOME
TBH I think the rule book means only 1 Activation per card because they use it as an example like Character Activation AI, progressing down the card until 1 can be performed. It certainly is not clear.
"suffer a 4 [sword] attack" does not mean suffer 4 automatic wounds. It's a melee-type attack. Roll 4x dice, and rolls of swords and/or Grayskulls are successful hits against you. The AI is already tough enough, no need to make it even harder on yourselves! ;)
Any of the scenarios that have you claim objectives aren't usable with the AI as written as the AI doesn't have any cards to claim them. But i think just replacing the targeting on the cards that get the AI to Attack or move could work with mentally adding can they get to and claim an objective instead of attacking, just making a logical choice of which would be more impactful between attacking or claiming an objective
I agree. The fact that you have to still flip all the tokens even after you find the NPC is bizarre.
So bizarre!

Need more of these videos, please.

This is what i do with it exactly
Love the cube idea. Cannot wait for some clarity. I'd like to play it clean at least once.
Thank you for doing a AI play through. If you could do another that would be excellent!

Great feedback for the game. Thanks!

It would be cool if you guys did the assault on Castle Graysville scenero.
We will definitely do that one at some stage. Just want to get a little better at the rules and our strats before tackling Grayskull.

We love to accidentally make things harder haha. Thanks for letting us know.
Thanks for doing this! It looks pretty tough. Can you not do all missions with AI? What makes the AI levels special.
I was able to get the NPC out in a test run. We'll get there. I think other scenarios need more human strategic planning. Greg

There’s a bgg rule to have ai treat objectives as 3hp heroes to determine priority. Works great and super simple
@@BeatRag28 yes I have been doing it. I think every level works as ai. I treat the book as some are ai reccomended
I cannot see how the player characters win this one, either with a human controller or the AI, losing after 3 KO's is just too easy
Played this one a few times myself and it hasn't been close
I think there's a bit of running away required!
thx for video. i would be good with 4 character. i don't think it is very difficult. x the power !!
Yes... more he man!
Agreed, more Heman!
