Nice case! Thank you very much for sharing! So, just so I understand...was any crown lengthening done on those anteriors?

Thank You Dr Mills My bite has closed down my bottom porcelain bridges and broke can’t afford to replace them having some built-up crown three tooth bridges plus partial plus upper partial so would you say both bottom and top cheese have to be extended to open up my bite?😊

Teeth My dentist made the three tooth crown bridge in his office on the left bottom side of my mouth but he didn’t make the teeth longer than the worn down bridges I’m just concerned if he knows what to do😊😊

Did he get composite veneers or porcelain veneer in the front?

Front teeth are restored with composite.

Thanks for the vid. How soon after restoring the anterior did you do the posterior? I imagine it was vital to maintain the space and avoid Dahl effecting on the posteriors ?

can you explain more about Dahl effect on posterior ? what if he let the post without crowns to be nornally occluded with time ?

    1. What is passive eruption vs compensatory eruption?
    2. What is abrasion vs attrition?

      Thank you for your comments.
The questions you raise are addressed more thoroughly in the complete case review presentation. Unfortunately this brief short case review format didn't allow for a more clear comprehensive discussion.
In his youth the patient had a severe CII with deep overbite and passive eruption. As he developed tooth wear as an adult by definition the eruption would now be considered compensatory.
The various lesions of attrition, abrasion, erosion and perimolysis are discussed in the complete case review.
Suffice it to say that the patient has tooth to tooth wear lesions ie attrition.
He is an electrician and does use his teeth as "tools" along with a sunflower seed shucking and eating habit resulting in some abrasive lesions as well.
With more detailed analysis of close up photos and study models he also exhibits erosive lesions.
      I hope this was helpful.
      Take care Brian

Looks good but the envelope of function is still reduced.

What an ignoramus. But still teaching doctors!
With an increase in the height of the bite, the rotation of the lower jaw back occurred. This is clearly seen on the models in the lateral projection. Then all the teeth suddenly closed))
This is a distal occlusion, class II, subclass 2
Determining the bite height is carried out in other ways. Why on earth should everyone have 18 mm between the gingival zeniths?
You could at least read about the Shimbachi index and LVI
