Agreed. Love listening to Trey. Super intelligent dude that puts a lot of thought into what he says, knowing that his words have a lot of weight. Solid person and solid guest.
Being on a magazine cover is not remotely the same as being all up in the videos dancing and sht, appearing on remixes with your artists, having names and aliases like an artist, etc. Cats are trippin' with this take. Suge was on the cover of that Feb 96 issue of Vibe magazine w/ Pac, Snoop, and Dre cover years earlier too. The only other covers I remember are the October 2005 XXL cover with Petey Pablo, his alleged new protege (what happened with that?) and The Source Dec 2001. That's 4 magazine covers (3/4 after after his heyday minus Snoop,Dre, and Pac- the former faces of the label), zero high profile video appearances, and 0 song appearances spanning over 2 decades. I'm not a Suge supporter either, but mfers be stretching with their takes, including Vlad who has some type of homoereotic fixation on Suge and Pac. Tryin to talk about someone "playin' their position" when his ass is always trying to be the focus of the interview, trying to be a two way player and sht.
Suge was incredibly stupid to not play his part as a rich CEO of an important record company. He choose to downgrade to the level of a local gangbanger… p diddy played his position very very well and that’s why he’s “living the life” spending his money, while suge is rotting in jail
suge was everywhere. what are u talking about, everybody knew his face. People talk about that being part of his downfall all the time. They not stretching their takes at all
By the time, he got out of prison, Suge was the STAR of the label. He would be the one they wanted on the talk shows or radio interviews and the rest of the roster, he might bring with him or let come out and shoot a freestyle but they ended up looking less important because he was clearly the one people wanted to hear from.
@@therealjohncena760 Nothing you wrote disputes what I said. And note how people knew of Suge despite his lack of appearances in videos and whatnot. He wasn't trying to overshadow or share the shine with his artists during that 92-97 run. Again, note the date of the magazines covers which 3/4 were after the big names had left. He was the de facto face of the label. No one was trying to cover The Realest, Crooked I, or those other phase two artists . Suge was playin' front man when he had to. Puff was doing it when he had budding stars like BIG that should have been the focus. Do you see my point?
Suge definitely was front and center 😂 but hey man I give it to him he had an empire but unfortunately pissed it away. Respect to J. Prince and Rap A Lot & Master P a man I admire a lot ! Suge definitely helped a lot of folks but that super blood thing hurt him in the end dawg !
This will be the closest Vlad get to interviewing Suge Knight. Asking questions to those that was around Suge. Vlad probably crap his pants knowing the smell of cigar smoke is within a 5 mile radius haha
i never liked suge ,but he had a point. growing up as a kid i didn't like seeing p diddy on music videos then later on other producers and DJs who try to have they face all in a video and talk over songs wanting as much credit as possible. nothing's wrong with getting interviews and being on magazines. that's different, but when its time for a music video or song. you're really only trying to see and hear the actual artist performing at the end of the day .
All facts... especially with Puff, he wanted all the shine even came out with his own Album, when all of that work and energy could have went into one of his Artist... He even had on the jersey in the video with him #1 and his Artist Made #2..lol...Birdman was the same way
Any artist out their wanna be a artist...and wanna stay a star...and wont have to worry about the executive producer trying to be, "ALLLLL in the videoooss", "ALLLLL on the records", DANCING, come to Death Row! - Suge Knight 1995
To be fair, don't think Suges in ANY deathrow videos during their golden years. He MIGHT be in the G thang video and definitely in the California Love remix video...
"a lot of times people just dont know how to play their position" sounds like someone ik like being the interviewer and not interjecting your own thoughts and ideas and letting the person being interviewed do the speaking
So y’all gonna compare a magazine cover to being all on the videos, all on the record being on the stage dance rapping in parts lil cesase or someone from junior mafia should have done
I wonder if Vlad has dreams/nightmares about Suge Knight. Like legitimately how many times does the name Suge Knight cross Vlads mind on a daily basis?
Vlads infatuation with Suge and Pac over the years is sickening to see. Likes to think of himself as a friend or expert and has an opinion about everything. Cringy to see...
They trying to clown on Suge, but ain’t nothing soft about that “rap”.. even back then he would take BGs lunch money! AND listen to Vlad talk about someone not knowing how to play their position.. You are a Interviewer, stop thinking everyone you interview is your friend! Know your position Vladimir!
Damn .... I live in a town where it's 220 people no help no label no city behind me no friends posting my videos so i can get my subscribers up and grow no real bread for promoting my music. I don't have what these rappers had when they blowed up I only got hope patients and to remain humble at all time .... .. and it's tuff on gaining subscribers 🙄 and I just started 2 months ago.
I think suge did the right thing. His artists (like dre and snoop) made gangsta rap but had no real life gangster persona at all. But it counts in pop culture that you're shit is authentic. So suge filled in that void by acting like he is a mafia boss, and he could play the part because he is a buff football player from compton with gang ties... Suge is not a dummy. He did it to make the image complete
They would never ever in a million years even whisper half of what they are saying if Suge wasn't locked up. Pulling up videos of when he was a kid, using his name for views while laughing at him is a foul.
Niggas knew Suge was bad for business. It just was nothing you could do about it except avoid the nigga or pay him. Nobody with sense actually saw all that lasting long so in a sense they were scared of him but not exactly how niggas thought they were back then.
Pac would have been alive under Prince...one thing about Prince, he'll make you a better thinker, always spittin' out wisdom...PAC wouldn't have been affiliated with no gang under Prince's tutelage.
Everyone talking bad on suge but suge pushed that blood line strong and know one was talking when he was out.Since he old and in jail every one talking like suge wasn’t with the shit.
When it come down to it everybody want to be in the music business the bangers to drug dealers they talk down on the rappers but really want to be like them
The only thing i des on that video IS Suge having fun with his team mates probably After a win . Suge loves rap but never call himself an artist. Certainly je wanted the spotlight lets not forget hé was pretty young and really powerfull and millionnaires.
I just be laughing cause none of them was checking Suge back then, none of em… so say what u want. If y’all checked him, he wouldn’t had acted the way he did… 🤷🏾♂️
