I bought a GD350-8 a few days ago, and I'm obsessed with this watch. I bought this one today since discovering they were discontinued. Not sure why Casio would discontinue them. It's the perfect digital watch, in my opinion. The only thing that would make it better would be having the year along with the month and date, like on the W800H, but that's a nitpick and a personal preference due to my profession. Great review!
I have the dark charcoal gray (also blacked out bezel writing) gd350-8 and love it. To me it’s the clearest easiest to read display and best usable feature set in the G-shock lineup. I may add a negative screen version later…the only model I’d consider one in.
I got the gray a few days ago... just ordered this one. Fell in love immediately. Such a great watch. I love the green bar on the face of the gray, and I look forward to seeing the inverted display on this black one.
You’re absolutely right about the Predator would of worn this watch. It is just badass! Besides, Arnold’s favorite watch at that time was the Seiko H558 also known as the Arnie. Even If the GD-350 came out back then, he would of politely declined or not 💪🏼 to wearing the Casio GD-350. The Predator watch it is!!!

Im surprised casio is still worried about battery life. These batteries last a long time and are pretty cheap. Its not like these batteries cost $500 lmao. Why are they so worried about how long the light stays on? Like who cares. Just buy another battery. They dont cost much.
I've had battery G-shocks and solar G-shocks and I prefer the latter. If this were solar but twice the price I'd pay just for knowing that I'll never have to adjust it. I've had the GW 3000 BD for 10 years and the GWA1100 for 6 years and knowing that I never have to adjust them for DST or anything else is why I love them. They're true Apocalypse watches and I'd love to have this watch in the apocalypse for more than battery life. A vibrating watch alarm would be so beneficial. 😆

In the winter time (ie, when the watch is often covered by a jacket or sleeve when outdoors) if I am actually using my 5610 with alarm and auto-light especially, plus timer a couple of times per day, there is a chance that it will drop into LOW mode overnight. At which point there will be NO audible alarm. Absolutely sucks as it makes it difficult to trust the watch alone as my primary alarm to wake up. Yes, I could take it off and put it on a charging light or windowsill, but I have a Casio - not a smart watch - I don't want to have to charge my watch, I want it to live on my wrist. I wish Casio's solar was as good as Citizen's. I have an EcoDrive watch that sits in a room with only light bulbs / ambient light from other rooms and the thing never drops below full charge. The 5610 in the same room will eventually drop to low and presumably will die - and this is with powersave on. So I'm excited to go back to a battery G-shock with the GD350. A new 2032 every year (probably even every two year) will mean no matter what features I use, the watch can be relied on. It also has a low battery indicator, which means if that is displaying I know not to count on it to wake me up. On the other hand the solar 5610 will display MED at bed time, (just like most other times if I haven't been outside in the summer time) and usually it will still be MED in the morning and wake me up but POSSIBLY it will have flipped to LOW and then I oversleep. Pretty annoying, as I've said.
I have the gray model with a positive screen, I am Spanish and I bought it in Madrid, it was at 129 euros but I got a price reduction and I bought it for 95 euros, of all the G-shocks I have, it is the one I like the most, comfortable, discreet, as you say in the video, and aesthetically it is very tactical, the vibration alarm is very useful, very good video, I loved it...🙂

I ordered this watch yesterday. Mine is gray and cost me $85 after taxes. This will be my first watch since I was a little kid.

It does hourly, also use it on the timer great watch I have two of these now along with a few more g shocks but this is my go too. 👍🏻👍🏻

You're right, the batteries are very cheap. But it's good to know that you don't have to worry about it for a long time, at least to me. :)
