Nice! I appreciate you explaining your settings. Love the sg, ive got a 2016 standard sg, but my newer prs custom 24 se has taken me over since I got it last Oct. Have you played one? Anyhow, thanks Dylan, have a great day😁
Thanks David! Believe it or not, I've never actually even held a PRS before which is crazy to me because I've really wanted to try one for a while now! I'll have to check them out next time I'm at the guitar shop and see how it goes!
I love that sg with the sideways vibrola! I just bought the 61 reissue with the stop bar tail piece and I love it! However, I still love the sideways vibrola and I’m wondering if you think I should put a sideways vibrola on mine bc gvf is my favorite band and I feel like the vibrola adds that gvf sauce, but I know about some issues with it. What do you think?
That's awesome dude!! Honestly not sure if putting the sideways vibrola on it would be worth it, especially if it's of the Gibson line of guitars. With the stop bar tail piece, you'd have to fill those holes because they are different for the sideways system. In terms of struggles with the vibrola itself, if you use it, it will throw your guitar out of tune for sure, so for me it's just a decorative piece. And in terms of the GVF sauce, yes in terms of looks it adds that element, but it doesn't change anything sound wise! The choice is yours but it's going to be a very complicated process to switch it yourself, and it will also cost quite a bit for the part itself
@@djones_music ok, thanks. Yeah for me, it would also be a decorative piece, bc I don’t want it going out of tune all the time, I would probably put a lock on it, but I didn’t think about actually putting it on and having to fill the holes. I might just wait till the Jake Kiszka sig to come out and just get that one, then I would have his guitar and not one but 2 SG’s! Thanks again! Great vid btw!
@talonshreds8874 yeah man, waiting is probably your best bet! Thanks for your kind words and best of luck on your journey to acquire a Jake Kiszka Signature!🤘
Haha thanks man, I appreciate that. Life has definitely been busy lately. Working towards a lot of other things atm too, so I really appreciate the understanding!🙏👊
Thanks man!! Nah I dont actually. I did look into them, but then just decided on the Shure SM57... I normally just turn the amp up to the third or 4th main volume notch to record and that's plenty loud enough!
@@djones_music Wow! Thanks. I’m looking to get a JCM800, but man It sounds so fuc**in loud!!!! At the moment I’m just playing at my home, so it’s impossible to play with an amp just like that, even with a 20W tube amp to get that sound it needs to be in a high volume. Anyway, your guitar sounds great in your covers, that’s why I was wondering how you do it with that big Marshall. Keep rocking as you're doing it! 🤘🏻
good to have the lesson but you should work on your intonation. I'm only pointing this out for your and my benefit but the guitar shouldn't sound that drunk. It helps to either 1 have a tuner pedal always plugged in or 2 always have a headstock tuner at least in arms reach. Once again this isn't a hate comment Its nice to have this video but please make sure you're in tune. Please and thank you.
Hey dude, thanks for the tips! Normally my guitar is in tune for all my videos, and looking back you're absolutely right that it's out on this one. Wondering if it could be the tailpiece on this guitar being newer and it swung out of tune a bit easier. Either way all my vids that I've done recently I've made sure my guitar is in tune so that it sounds as good as it can for viewers!
@harrisontownsend910 nah it's all good man, totally understandable. I'm always open to constructive criticism, especially when you're totally right. And to be honest, I have no clue wtf was going on with the tuning here, but it's definitely super noticeable so at least now I know for sure to watch out for it so that my vids can continue getting closer and closer to top notch😁
Thank you for the lesson! I'm glad you're back.
My pleasure man!!🤘🏻
Amazing as always Dylan 👍🏻 Keep them coming!
Thank you!! Will do!👊🤘🏻
Thanks Dylan! Glad to see you back again
It's my pleasure! Glad to be back!
@@djones_music glad to have you back!
Fantastic my friend! All the best to you Dylan!🎷🎷
Thank you Rob! Have a good one!
Thanks dude! Great vid.
LOVE your 1961 Gibson!
Thank you!!

Do you happen to have the piano sheet music or would mind doing a piano tutorial?

i need a piano tutorial for all the songs!!
Great lesson, mate. Do you use an attenuator to use that amp in a home volume? 👀🤘🏻
