Do not take broken ribs lightly. I did and almost died. In Jan 2020 I crashed my KTM 300 at Croom, 4th gear wide open. I did not think much of it. I even rode another hour. Then the next day the pain set in and I could not move. I waited at the Croom campground a week. I finally drove home to south FL. I figured I would rest for a few weeks. After all I've smashed my ribs about 3-4 times at FTR races. After 3 weeks I was not healing and did not realize I was not able to breath well as my oxygen level was so low. Anyway I ended up in ER and lost my left lung. It was internal injuries called a plural effusion that got infected. I still ride and will be at Croom all of Sept 2024 and then race the Croom enduro.

I raced us sprint Enduro with 2 broken ribs did it on the first test then won my class.
