Finally!! Some videos in the same plane I am training in! My Lazy 8's haven't been the best. This is a huge help! Thank you!!

Someone’s having fun with the inserts. 😅

You both do an amazing job at explaining this maneuver

And we need to be at minimum airspeed at the slowest! If we haven’t pitched up enough to get to minimum, we haven’t done a lazy 8.

I love your vids Liz. Super helpful. The new thing of inserting 'humorous' vid clips is really distracting. Not helping the learning process at all. But please keep making your videos - I know it's a work in progress. Thanks.

About how many degrees pitch up/down should one be at the 45 and 135?

It depends on the aircraft. That's why the ACS doesn't specify. In a 1998-ish C172S at the 45 point you should be max pitched up at about 9 degree. At the 135 descending point you should be at 7 degrees nose down.

If you used a small model airplane where you show. And tell using model plane of what that looks like because it is not clear when Brian is doing maneuver

will be good to have flight parameters on screen instead of these inserts :/

... that is the part when it gets fun, flying, actually ... the main (common) mistake is to put too much input, in a too short time. That's also why they are called lazy 8-th's. But, with all the rest you do - it will be alright. Never forget to coordinate the (any) turn a bit, using the rudders. There are also fast lazy 8-th's, but that is a whole another story, that should come: later. We would also recommend low-wing aircraft, to be better for the lessons purpose, but you have what's available on the day :).

good video would've been great had they not added all the distracting comedy clips

Good video, please get rid off the "comics" inserts, very distracting, we are here to try to improve our skills and the distractions almost make me not wanting to watch your videos again.

I would agree... while they are funny and entertaining, they are also distracting from what we are trying to learn.

Thanks good video. I "chair fly" and really try to conceptualize the maneuvers during the video, and to be honest the silly insert clips are very distracting and detracting. My eyes are drawn to the insert and then my brain pauses from flying to figure out WTF this thing is.

imagine flying one day with your little kids...while flying you have to learn to focus on some things while tuning out others
