People are always complaining about remakes saying it will never be as good as the original and I’m just there like “won’t you at least give it a chance?” Because most people judging it haven’t even seen the movie and just judge it by the trailer.
This movie knew that it can’t just do the same thing and capture the same magic the original did. It took the route just like the Child’s Play reimagining did, same concept, different plot, both good movies. Sure, they’re different, and most people just want the same thing again, but what would be the point of that? The Lion King remake is a proper remake, but only because almost everything was the same as the original. Dumbo is a reimagining, because it captures the magic again, just with a different plot, and it worked out PERFECTLY. And I’m not saying this movie is the best, because it still has its flaws. But it still felt to me that this IS a Disney Movie.

This was my favourite movie as a child. My mum always tells me she couldn't get it off . Soon as it finished I would want it on again , so you can imagine my excitement to take my kids to watch this. I was utterly disappointed. This isn't dumbo for me . The change of story ruined it all . Thanks Disney for ruining my favourite animation
