Why Australia Built a Fence Across the Entire Continent

  • Australia built a fence across the entire continent, called the Dingo Fence, to protect their livestock from wild dingoes. These dingoes were preying on sheep and cattle, causing huge losses for farmers. The fence, stretching over 5,600 kilometers, aimed to keep the dingoes out of southeastern Australia, where most of the farming happens. It's one of the longest structures in the world, designed to control the dingo population and safeguard agriculture. The fence has had mixed results, impacting both the environment and wildlife in various ways.

      They were taken there by the British as beasts of burden, along with elephants. The elephants were set free to run wild in the outback as industrialization kicked in and were later hunted for sport until they were extinct.

    About of Australia I want ask these questions: am I right there's the most Deadliest animals in the World, people in Australia dosen't live much in there because almost a whole Australia is a dry desert or savanna, they're living the most in their Prime City Sidney what is the Only City what I'll know is in Australia and is there any other cities or villages in Australia? By the way did you guys knew Australia is one of those countries that is practically impossible to conquer because Australia is that huge island country in the Middle of huge ocean. 🌏🇦🇺

    • @txddyfarquh69
      @txddyfarquh69 4 месяца назад +3

      As a resident of Australia, we do have some of the most deadliest creatures in the world
      Australia has a lot of harsh desert land BUT there are some Aussies and indigenous aboriginal ppl who live in these harsh lands.
      Sydney is the most recognised city from Australia BUT it is NOT THE ONLY City.
      And yes Australia would be hard to conquer bc of its Landscape, oh and bc of Australia's own Military ( we do tote Guns here mate lol )

      We also have massive unguarded coastlines. But technology, satellite etc are in place now so that opportunity for invasion has passed. A savanna is more accurate. There are many deserts but mostly the outback as such has vegetation and wild life. Its very hostile, can get very hot. If you get lost in the outback you will most likely die without knowing how to get your bush tucker or other survival skills. The dangerous critters isnt too much too worry around. We've all seen them, I had to fight off the odd black snake, the red back spiders are pretty timid. But the Sydney funnel web is the one to watch out for.
      And off coarse those intoxicated drop bears.
