    This was a good review for me. Another verify test for autodiscover is the Microsoft connectivity analyzer. And if the test encountered warnings you would be back here to fix it. Good info, bravo.

    Prior to this, did you confirm and/or check the box within ADConnect to enable Exchange Hybrid Deployment? Isn't that a "PreReq" before running the HCW?

    Will I be able to eventually shut off the on premise exchange server? The whole reason we are migrating is our Exch2010 server is very old and slow. I don't want to be stuck having to keep this server running forever.

      The on-prem Exchange server is required for management tasks.

      If you sync your local AD to AzureAD (Office 365) you MUST have an Exchange server on premise in order to manage exchange attributes sync you are hybrd. Can you do away with all Exchange servers on premise, yes but you must then manage mailboxes via ADSI.edit which is very ugly and more importantly this is an unsupported model per Microsoft.
