Made these last night and they turned out great! I did mine with cinnamon sugar instead of jelly filled because that’s what I prefer and they were delicious, and also used all all purpose flour as well. They didn’t taste much like fried donuts as they were very dense but still terrific!!

Here in Germany, there is a literal war of how to name these correctly depending on the area where you live! XD Here we call them Berliner Others call them Pfannkuchen (pancakes) Others call them Krapfen So I'm relieved you just named them fluffy doughnuts! Nobody can argue with this name

I made these, today! I didn't have any bread flour at home, so I used whole wheat flour instead. The donuts turned out amazing ^^. It was kinda breadlike, soft and very fluffy. The sugar and jam balanced it out, quite well. The recipe is easy to make, simple and delicious!

@@jasminetran82 mine didn’t turn red, so i kept it in a little longer. It became like bread with crispy shell😅.

If you want then softer, take them out even if they’re not golden yet. And yes without filling it’s like a sweet milk bread
