Someone probably said this already, but they aren't allowed to be this "raw" on Idol songs, but on these solo adventures they can do whatever they want, as these are done on their own time and their own money. RM and Suga were both underground rappers/producers before they ever signed with BigHit, so they've been doing this a long time. There are stories of the older more experienced rappers in the underground being afraid to battle RM cuz he was so good, even in his early teens. His wordplay is unsurpassed. JHope learned to rap after he got signed with BigHit (he came in as a dancer).

So for their solo work i like the following: Suga - Shadow, J-Hope - Daydream, Jin - Awake, Jimin - Serendipity, V - Singularity, and JK - My Time. They have many others that also play on repeat but these would be my top ones. I also think you should see the live performances.
Officially, it's 9.88 sps. Jungkook rapped at 10.75 sps for a cover on a Jin Eats episode. Suga can rap faster than RM, but he chooses not to on his songs, to concentrate on his flow instead. He hit at 11.38 at a radio interview doing Cypher pt 2. Changbin from Stray Kids may be challenging for the title soon. He did a cover at 11.13, but since it was a cover, it isn't official...just like Jungkook's cover.

His word play is another level especially in Korean and not just in the kpop industry...whether it's a speech, just expressing his thoughts or rapping.. I love that RM can do music like this while simultaneously loves to find little crabs on the beach and show the other members. He’s very talented but also very sweet and a lot of people assume he’s one of the older members but he’s actually the middle in age. The members joke that RM takes care of them when they work but the rest of the members take care of him when they aren’t working.
I laughed out loud (and gave a knowing nod) at the ‘tie me up’ bit. Also, I love your sailor mouth - I have the same😉. This is RM at his rawist F* you style. His work on his second mix-tape shows his poet side. Can’t wait for you to see Suga and J-Hope. They each have such unique styles. I visualise music, and I see RM’s rap as a rocky river full of eddies, rapids, calm spots, smooth stretches. If you want to hear the rappers' different styles, in addition to their solo songs (of course), you can also check out their rappers-only songs, like "Ddaeng", the Cyphers pt. 1-4, "Outro: Tear", "Ugh", "Her". I also LOVE "Born Singer". It's a group song, but it really shows the difference in their rap styles. BTW, "Born Singer" and "Outro: Tear" are both emotional because the lyrics are so personal. Their live performances are worth watching. "Her" is a love song. The others I mentioned are diss tracks.

I’ve been listening to BTS for almost 7 months now but due to all their songs, videos and other content, I have not listened to much of their singles (RM, Suga and J-hope) and just come across this one today. Now while I was raising my children, it would have been over my dead body before I let them listen to something like this. I’ve grown over the last few years and honestly, with the help of not just BTS but all three rappers over the months. I was completely shocked that those words come from RM, but I loved it. He was honest and he rapped like no other. Now I’m going to have to check out some more from him.
He switches flows constantly using 9 different ones in this song just to flex on the people who say he’s not a real rapper. RM and Suga just go ridiculously hard in some of their solo stuff we do love it.
RM has major duality. He is the kindest and one of the gentlest souls out there but when he's angry, he becomes something much more... aggressive. I love it.

Just to let you know, ARMY's official color is Purple. I do like the jersey. RM played all the roles in this MV. I think the message is that he totally is in control of his rap and his music. He's the one keeping himself in check, not anyone else. Just my interpretation. I Think THAT, in and of itself, is a message to his haters. RM is my Bias. Both of his mixtapes are amazing. BTW, this is important since you will watch Daechwita at some point. The word Daechwita refers to the music / march that they would play when the King was on his way to the village in long ago Korea. Suga's video is all about the old King being replaced by the new King with a lot in between.
Their solo work doesn't have as much choreo (in terms of official music videos), but all their solo music is so worth checking out to really get to know the members' individuality and style

There are two different types of solo projects for the boys. There are solo projects that are under Big Hit that are part of the BTS discography and then there are solo projects that they have done outside of the BTS discography, like this song. Their individual projects, not part of BTS, tend to be under fewer restrictions than their BTS works. The cursing is an example of that. All three rappers have mix tapes with RM and Suga having two and J-Hope having one. Suga actually uses a different name for his mix tapes, Agust D. The vocalists have been working on mix tapes but have only released individual songs at this point. Jimin has "Promise" and the recent song that's a duet with another artist, "With You". Most of Jungkook's songs end up as part of the BTS discography or he does covers, but his song, "Still With You", is an independent work. He has a more recent song called, "Stay Alive" that was written and produced by Suga. it's not really a part of the BTS discography, but it's not a completely independent work, either. It's an OST for their webtoon, "7Fates: Chakho". Jin has "Tonight", "Abyss", and "Yours". "Yours" is a recent song. V/Taehyung has Winter Bear and Sweet Night, along with a couple of duets with other members. Actually every one of the most recent songs by the vocal line are all OSTs, Original Sound Tracks. I love that RM can do music like this while simultaneously loves to find little crabs on the beach and show the other members. He’s very talented but also very sweet and a lot of people assume he’s one of the older members but he’s actually the middle in age. The members joke that RM takes care of them when they work but the rest of the members take care of him when they aren’t working.
I laughed out loud (and gave a knowing nod) at the ‘tie me up’ bit. Also, I love your sailor mouth - I have the same😉. This is RM at his rawist F* you style. His work on his second mix-tape shows his poet side. Can’t wait for you to see Suga and J-Hope. They each have such unique styles. I visualise music, and I see RM’s rap as a rocky river full of eddies, rapids, calm spots, smooth stretches. Suga is a derp fast river with a deceptively smooth surface and you don’t see the currents til you’re in them. J-Hope is like a boat dancing over the waves in the sun!

I’ve been listening to BTS for almost 7 months now but due to all their songs, videos and other content, I have not listened to much of their singles (RM, Suga and J-hope) and just come across this one today. Now while I was raising my children, it would have been over my dead body before I let them listen to something like this. I’ve grown over the last few years and honestly, with the help of not just BTS but all three rappers over the months. I was completely shocked that those words come from RM, but I loved it. He was honest and he rapped like no other. Now I’m going to have to check out some more from him.

The end is him as rap monster challenging that other rapper to diss him again. Its just me tho

Just to let you know, ARMY's official color is Purple. I do like the jersey. RM played all the roles in this MV. I think the message is that he totally is in control of his rap and his music. He's the one keeping himself in check, not anyone else. Just my interpretation. I Think THAT, in and of itself, is a message to his haters. RM is my Bias. Both of his mixtapes are amazing. I actually have two bias's, but RM was the one that caught my attention first and foremost. I do have a soft spot for the Rap Line. Bias's = RM and J Hope, Bias Wreckers = Jimin and SUGA. RM is basically telling the haters off that he is a good rapper even as an idol. Those haters trying to hold him down, they can take a flying leap. Yes he breaks out.
There are two different types of solo projects for the boys. There are solo projects that are under Big Hit that are part of the BTS discography and then there are solo projects that they have done outside of the BTS discography, like this song. Their individual projects, not part of BTS, tend to be under fewer restrictions than their BTS works. The cursing is an example of that. All three rappers have mix tapes with RM and Suga having two and J-Hope having one. Suga actually uses a different name for his mix tapes, Agust D. The vocalists have been working on mix tapes but have only released individual songs at this point. Jimin has "Promise" and the recent song that's a duet with another artist, "With You". Most of Jungkook's songs end up as part of the BTS discography or he does covers, but his song, "Still With You", is an independent work. He has a more recent song called, "Stay Alive" that was written and produced by Suga. it's not really a part of the BTS discography, but it's not a completely independent work, either. It's an OST for their webtoon, "7Fates: Chakho". Jin has "Tonight", "Abyss", and "Yours". "Yours" is a recent song. V/Taehyung has Winter Bear and Sweet Night, along with a couple of duets with other members. Actually every one of the most recent songs by the vocal line are all OSTs, Original Sound Tracks.
