Between the color pop of the pillows …the cohesiveness of the wall paint and the pieces that you painted… just make the room !! (not to mention the TV )…your house looks fabulous. I so enjoy your creativity.

Love love love all the updates. Painting the framing white made a big difference and running the squash colored pillows and ottoman through your living room tied everything together. Art on tv wrapped everything in a neat bow. Bravo!

I love it and it all makes a difference. I love the TV with the picture. I have finally learned to do pillow covers so as I change them out for the seasons they store easily. 🙌👏❤️

Painting the cover was a game changer. It looked nice before, but it did draw the eye. Just a little too busy. Now, you are right, the simple change really does "allow the moulding its due." RUclips has amazing pictures and slide shows for the tv. As the they get bigger (who really needs an 80" tv 😮), that "big black box" just takes over the whole room! Noticed the poof before you mentioned it. A bright pop of color in an otherwise neutral room is almost an eyesore if it is not spread around appropriately in small doses - and you did it expertly! Thanks for all you do. I have learned so much from you. God bless and keep you and yours. May this year be your best.

I love how the tension between the cove moulding and the top of the window casement has been removed, creating a sense of flow and airiness. The tv/art piece definitely enhances the overall feel of the room and allows you to forget about an art piece over the tv (which I would automatically have filled over a regular tv with blackened screen). The only thing I might have done differently was to mount the tv onto the wall in order to place the art more spacially into the centre of the space. The pillows tie it all together magically. Well done, I very much enjoyed this video showing how the smallest of changes can have some of the largest impacts.

I agree. so much better now the window housing is painted out. The TV actually is on the wall. You can see a wall bracket when her son is helping with the TV. It looks like it isn't because the sound bar and the clock are right under it.

I see your point regarding the TV but it is probably mounted for viewing from the seating areas. I dislike TVs that are mounted so high I have to tilt my head back. 😊

Hello, I’ve seen your vídeos here and there, and I’d like to share that you seem so sharp, so pretty and elevated. And what keeps me coming back is that though I know your clients are on a different level, you still speak in a manner that doesn’t make me feel like I have to purchase lots of expensive furniture to make my house work… because I couldn’t do that. I love what you did with your subscriber’s videos, suggesting changes with their own furniture… such a clever way to share your knowledge and attract more people.

*Cohesiveness via Color, Pattern and Texture* . I have a semi-open concept space and it always amazes me how using a tight color palette improves the flow. Navy, light blue, ivory and beige were my picks for my Summer 2023 Re-fresh. Stripes for the pattern, and hyacinth baskets for texture. Each of the main living spaces has varying percentages. Great choices Rebecca, the windows are greatly improved and that simple addition of a color pop with the pillows and ottoman.... Chef's Kiss!

The painted casing now sings, "light and airy!" without distracting from the lovely window treatments. What you call squash, I see as caramel...and the pillows and pouf are the perfect accents. Wish we would have thought about a TV with "art-ability"...what a great resolution to the black box conundrum. Blessings!!!

I am so excited Rebecca! After 14 yrs my husband and I are purchasing another home. We lost ours, well we know where it still is we just couldn't live there anymore, in that horrible 2008-9 inflation/everyone lost their job debacle. We've been renting since then. Now we are getting 4 acres and a home in Tennessee! I am so ready to make my home MY home, ya know? And yeah, I'm doing what I want and am not going to worry about resell value. Why? Because I'm not renting from the next owners. They'll do what they want to do to it too. So, onward and upward! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

There is always room for improvement I have found when you establish the decor in your living spaces - your perspective changes and all of a sudden you have that a-ha ! moment of this can look so much better (budget dependent).
We live in spaces where after a period of time things become invisible, art work for example can suddenly become more vibrant when you move it around to new locations in room/s.
I always enjoy your offerings and advice and plan to put them to use in my ever increasing to-do list.

That made a YUUUUGE difference!! There was always something bothering me about the windows, as beautiful as they are. I thought maybe you needed drapes with a border or something, but what you did NAILED it! And the pillows carrying the color around the space - perfect! That's an easy add that sometimes people overlook thinking it's too simple to work. With the focus off the tops of the windows, your eye really goes to your beautiful entertainment console and the windows actually look taller. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!

Since you asked . . . I like the “dress rehearsal” for your Lutron headings. But, I was holding my breath as you painted them in your ‘good clothes’.
When I’m doing a “dress rehearsal” involving paint, I like to use Sure Swatch (those paint-able 8x12 clear films).
They allow me to preview the color (not necessary for your project, though). And I can use them with any paint, regardless of manufacturer. Plus, I can move the sticky-back Sure Swatch around a room to preview the color in the morning, noon, & night; next to the crown molding or down by the baseboard.
(Not affiliated, but wish I were. I could probably have made some serious money from referrals.)

The white paint on the window treatments looks so much better! I also thought something was wrong there, but didn't know what. Now it looks fantastic.

Your updates created the flow that you speak on quite often. I must admit I loved the before, but the after created the flow. ❤❤❤

Wasn’t sure about painting your window treatment housing….at first…..After you completed painting all of them plus adding extra coats, YOU NAILED IT!! Spot on with first noticing that you didn’t like the break in the bronze housing then eyes up w/the white walls. Looks beautiful and seamless now! Second upgrade/refresh….Those WE pillows! I have three pillows in my living room that are very close to that color, Voila! They made all kinds of difference to the aesthetic of the sofa and my other pillows. They Pop!
