Incubating and Releasing two Secret Buckets of Wild Birds | Saving more eggs than ever before

  • Unexpectedly I had to find the space for more eggs to incubate from the wild than I'd ever had. It were new species and some birds that I had raised before. I had to do research and learned so much again. After months of dedicated work, I found the perfect spot for my friends to be released into nature: an Island bird reserve.

    There `s a saying that goes like this : " We recognize the values of a people by the way it treats his animals ". And it is so true ! When I look at videos from the Netherlands, let them be from Friesian horses or birds, it`s impressive to see the respect and commitment with which they are treated and cared for. The agriculture is also very much highly developed so it makes you a people who is close to the root of nature. You see, that`s exactly what the rest of the world is striving for. Thank you for the beautiful videos you are sharing with us ! I`am convinced that your work goes way beyond what you ever imagined. From birds to people, you set them free and give them the chance and desire to fly again. God is using you for the big picture ! 💗

    • @Jaynes-Path

      @@audreymuzingo933in previous posts and the past the eggs were collected from area around the airport. The airports around the world chase off and destroy all the birds and animals that nest there for the safety of the airplanes and the people on them. Bird strikes and having a group suddenly get sucked into a engine will cause the plane to crash or make a emergency landing. He said he was grateful that this woman called him instead of doing as she was told by whomever collected the eggs. To break them in the nests would cause more animals and scavengers to come and eat them and cause a new set of problems. I'm grateful she was able to get them out to a safe person too.

    • @TheExtraClassic

      I was wondering the same thing- Who told her to get rid of them?
      For what reason?
      So many wild eggs and different varieties

    • @audreymuzingo933
      @audreymuzingo933 8 месяцев назад +16

      @@TheExtraClassic RIGHT? And considering how well ground nests are hidden, someone had to do a whole lot of walking and searching carefully in wet, weedy places, they had to REALLY want to find them and collect them, so WHY? What harm were they doing in some wild place, that they just had to be removed??
      The only thing I can think of is if the wetland was located close enough to an airport that the birds could pose an engine-intake hazard. I know some airports employ dogs, falcons and/or predator sound recordings blasted from speakers, to keep birds away from the runways. But if an airport was put right by a wetland, that was just effing stupid.

      Sadly, it's done at major airports all over the world. They don't do enough to keep the birds from nesting. Many airports hire a person with a Border Collee or similar dog to chase geese and ducks away. The owner of this channel has had one of those people bring him eggs before. Maybe this was a similar situation.

      @@CricketsBayI am assuming it’s that or a landowner wanted an area cleared out of “pest” birds or something. People do stuff like that all the time to develop land.

      @@theredeft5319that's what I was thinking. Either that, or the eggs were to be sold as food.

      Canada geese are an invasive species, so it would have been the right thing to dispose of them.

    Hello Albert, would like to share that me and my partner have saved 8 old trees last 2023, by offering free design service for people building their houses. A wee bit of extra work but it’s all worth, we are going to install birds nest to promote sanctuary for the birds, we have heavy deforestation atm due to big developments.
    Thank you for sharing your kindness and passion about birds.

    I will never understand why people destroy nests and view birds negatively, and I'm glad you exist to rescue those you can. Thank you, truly. Birds need our help now more than ever, as man-made climate change makes life increasingly harder for them, and for us all.
