I just transitioned to back flying on my 5th lesson, I have flown for 47 mins now and... It sucks. I hate going from completely proficient at belly and being able to to everything without even thinking, to on my back getting thrown around not knowing what to do like a turtle on it's back. You are doing a great job compared to me rn, and i'm gonna have to wait 2 weeks for my next lesson because my parents are going out of town.

That’s awesome! I used to (and still do) watch vids so i get a better sense of what im doing as well as i can also analyze and compare my form to theirs and see why im crashing and not flying it right 😅
i hope they help you, back flying can be frustrating and for some pretty hard to learn. Just dont get into the habit of turtling (tucking in arms and legs) when you get out of control, you dont wanna fall out of the air and without using your arms, you have 0 control. lemme know if you have any questions :)

@@WigglyFlies flying on my back was definately much harder than belly flying. My instructor had me doing funny as pancake flip kind of thing from belly to back right and the end and now i have to go back for more!

@@111jkjk I don’t know if you fly at an iFly but tunnelflight.com (international body flight association) is the way we keep track of signoffs and it has quite a few good tutorial videos for progression. I think the pancake thing you described is called an over the feet transition and they are super fun! If you fly at an iFly you’d definitely want to make an IBA account so you can have your progress tracked and signed off by your instructor :)

@@WigglyFlies i am at flystation korea at the moment but i will be going back to Oz soon where they have an ifly. Such a fun sport

@@111jkjk if youre going to any ifly, id 100% make an account because then whenever you go to another ifly, they have a record of where you are at with your progression and can trust you can fly the things you have signed off by yourself. heres just a link to the flight video resources (www.tunnelflight.com/skills/)
again, if you have any questions, always feel free to ask! im always happy to help :)

i refuse to believe someone can make so much progress in one session. I spent 25 mins in tunnel so far and god i am so bad

You'll get there! Once you start to feel how to move without thinking too hard about it itll just click for you and its the best feeling :D
if you need any help always feel free to ask questions, always happy to help (when I get the time to outside of school/work hehe)
I spent 13 years dancing so I have a lot of body coordination that otherwise wouldn't exist.

yes... i also watch these videos with my mouth open... i have just finished my proflyer sessions and i told my instructor about this channel and that i felt like a loser, comparing my progress with wigglys learning. She answered that people are very different in the tunnel, some just need to see the movement once and can easily inherit the movement and repeat it instantly. Others... don't 😂. Mostly dancers or Gymnasts.. ice dancers as well... are super dast learners...For me, i can improve my learning, if i have a proper briefing before and if I know in advance which movement we are going to do. i then can mentalize the movement better. however the importance of this is for instructors not always clear, because they often are the dancers type of learners I think... just seeing and doing it... thank you wiggley for this enzyclopedia. i really like working with it. 😊

@@vergeben Im glad I can help! I hope my progress helps you kinda see what the general progression is like from skill to skill. (with a lot of freestyle sprinkled in)
I danced since I was very young till I was 18 and did gymnastics for fun when I was a kid so I definitely have an advantage when it comes to body awareness. Id highly recommend checking out this playlist (ruclips.net/video/YG6JhRacjfU/видео.html) if you haven't already. They're great for practicing at home before you fly.
Im also happy to answer any questions when I have time too if you have any :)
