Dax Harwood Says He’s Out Of Action Due to Back Injury From AEW Dynasty
Harwood noted that he suffered the injury when giving Matt Jackson a piledriver in the match, and that he didn’t tell the medical staff and executives in AEW about it. He apologized to the AEW staff, in particular the medical staff, about not being more up front with the matter as he thought he could “tough through” the injury which included a severe hematoma on his back. He said that he felt FTR was riding a momentum high and didn’t want to take himself and Cash Wheeler off the road, but that he had an X-ray done on his back and lower pelvis. Combined with him explaining how long he had been dealing with it, AEW’s Doc Sampson took him off the road immediately. Harwood went on to say that failure to deal with the injury could lead to early retirement which he obviously doesn’t want, and said he and Wheeler are going to be off TV for a while. He said he hoped to be back soon and thanked thanked the fans and people at AEW.

AEW hasn't had much luck in terms of injuries throughout this year, and Dax Harwood has now been added to the growing list of wrestlers on the sidelines. One-half of FTR, Harwood has confirmed on social media that he and Cash Wheeler are being pulled from the road so that Harwood can take the time to recover after suffering a hematoma back in April. The two-time AEW World Champion admitted he'd attempted to work through the issue and didn't tell anyone about it, which he apologized for. Harwood admitted he should've been open about the injury during the last few months. He noted the situation started at AEW Dynasty when he delivered a piledriver to Matt Jackson, which caused him some lower back problems. Harwood did want to work through the issue to keep him and Wheeler on the road, but it appears that's no longer possible.
“The pain has been at the very, very, very minimum, the pain has been excruciating over the last few months,” he said. “I don’t know how long this is going to last, I don’t know how long we’re gonna have to be off, but unfortunately, or maybe fortunately for some of you, people that don’t like FTR, myself and Cash will not be on television for a while. I have to rest this thing up

Dax Harwood Reveals The Match That Made Him Want To Become a Pro Wrestler

FTR is a professional wrestling tag team of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, who are signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and are former two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions. Before coming to AEW, they were known for their tenure in WWE as The Revival, under the ring names Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, respectively.
The team was created by Dusty Rhodes in 2014, then as The Mechanics, and later simply Dash and Dawson when they made their television debut on WWE NXT. The team adopted the name The Revival in 2016, referencing reviving the classic tag-team wrestling style of the 1980s, which has led to the two being compared favorably to the Brain Busters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) and The Midnight Express, particularly the Condrey/Eaton version, two of the top teams of all time. The team uses the phrase "No flips, just fists" to convey their more traditional, mat based in-ring style in contrast to the more high flying style of some contemporary teams.
They are the first team to have won WWE's Raw Tag Team Championship (held twice), SmackDown Tag Team Championship (once), and NXT Tag Team Championship (twice), and are recognized by WWE as being the company's first-ever WWE Tag Team Triple Crown winners.[5] After being released by WWE in April 2020, and signing with AEW the next month, they made their AEW debut on the May 27, 2020, episode of Dynamite, winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship the following September at AEW's All Out.
