But the people are living in misery.
Yap by any means necessary. "Tuko pamoja milele."
nice to see CNBC including high school students in their programming, he sounds like he's studying hard, that bad boy wannabe style probably just a phase, pretty soon he'll look at those rings and say to himself, who did I think I was fooling?
Are you okay.. ?
stop letting them ship your riches out of the country
The Ajaokuta Steel Co. In Nigeria can finally be finished and brought online and initial steel production in Africa can be worked out between Guinea and Nigeria, GUINIGSTCO (Guinea Nigeria Steel Company). This can happen in 10 years or less with the right leadership.
Ajaokuta has long been finished. It just was never rendered operational, because Nigeria's power elites did not want it to...
@@musafawundu6718 I stand corrected, but you get my point. An MOU between Guinea and Nigeria to create an African steel market using Guinea ore and the Nigerian foundry should be initiated. If done with minimal corruption we could see the disruption of Global steel markets within 2 to 3 years. If all steel requirements on the continent was provided by this African entity the GDP of both countries would rise substantially. This could be accomplished by creating the greatest marketing campaign the world has ever seen. No more China steel African Steel only.
@@harmoniousfrenchman8775 You are right. Nigeria can import bauxite from Guinea but Nigeria have huge iron ore deposits both can be used to make steel for west Africa region.
Thank you
The state of Guinea-Bissau underdevelopment and low pay of it's workers is a direct resemblance and reflection of it's low level, unethical, visionless leaders... With all their wealth of natural resources they're among the poorest people with worst infrastructure!!
“To paraphrase Bad boys”…now this is the kind of journalism I like
CNBC Next time ask for consent before posting me in our network.
I like the guy. Very brilliant. And objective. He knows how to say things without offending anyone.
GUINEA WE FIGHTS 4 OURS RIGHTS ☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️💪💪💪💪💪🇬🇳🇨🇦🇺🇸🇸🇳🇲🇽
Oh no. Aluminum price rose. Completely disregarding the corruption that happened.
Conde Guinea's "first democratically elected President"!!!!!!!!!!????????? Let us for heaven's sake at least get our history right,!!!!!!!! Where do we place Seko Toure ; the Nation's first President????
The West, but also so many African leaders, do not really care if country's like Guinea make much socio economic progress and industrialize. They are mostly interested in ensuring that they continue to do the role of providing raw material commodities are cheaply as possible towards export markets, while the power elites of most African countries are complicit in this and they care mostly or only about obtaining and retaining wealth and comfort in the largely socio economically unproductive system as it is. Anyway, that was certainly the overwhelming paradigm in the late 20th century and even in the 2000s, but for a number of countries and in a number of countries that is slowly changing as there has been much improvement of vital infrastructure necessary for industrialization, most especially with regards to electricity and modern highways. The finances for that have mostly NOT come from the West.
Why you don't say anything about how a so rich country in minerals with only a coup can shock the world's economic and yet the country is so poor?
You only explain the economic face of the news but the politic one, you set aside
Guinea shd price there minerals highly so that they benefit from there natural endowment
Economic mineral value on Gunie is highly underrated surely the GDP index is grossly misleading, how can a country contribute 25percent of world stake and command only 30%benefit to its economy........economists growth indexes so misleading against African economies
Amazing how well African countries are doing since de-colonisation
Some of the footage used by CNBC shows soldiers from Guinea-Bissau not Guinea Conakry.
When I hear 10 years of political stability, I am shoked. Guinea has never been politically stable since 1955
Guinea has all this wealth yet the people are among the poorest moving to neighboring countries to live and do business causing problems in countries that border guinea like sierra leone and liberia.
GHANAIANS ARE SOLD OUT BRUH VIVE THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD 🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇨🇦🇺🇸🇸🇳🇲🇽
Let the Guineas benefits from there mineral resources period this mineral firms are there for there own interests
That's your business .
when conde was misruling
what did u say?
Love from the U.S.❤
He listed soros and Blair as advisers ? Damn 👿
High GDP, high Economy yet her people are poor.
“In the process, the coup disrupted nearly a decade of political stability in the mineral-rich country” does not work well with the evidence of a radical change to the constitution that led to riots. Better editing needed or just rational thinking. Thanks.
"In the process the coup disrupted nearly a decade of looting by the West..". There, fixed that for you.
CNBC do you guys read the comments under your post, because it seem you guys are reporting the opposite
Mining should be suspend in all of Africa and multinational mining companies can go to Australia. Multinational companies are destabilze and loot Africa and that about to stop. In the future the populations will descend on they very mines in protest against exploitation
Of course, no one gives two figs about the guinean people, society or economy, only how it effects the price of the iPhone. Humans
Do not teach a people do not use gun
Horrible bias reporting. I truly expected better from an international media organization.
Leave guniea alone,,
0:53 Don’t want to be mean but its kinda funny to see a tattooed guy who looks quite like a thug talking about politics, economy and geography
This mini documentary is brought to you by Ghanaian CNBC 😊
CNBC don’t know what they are talking about it really saddens
Free the people man
Next time invite Guinea people we know about our country more than you guys
I think they are sitting in the wrong place. He should interview her. 🥰🥰👍🏾👍🏾💪🏾and that’s too much hair girl!
We Africans must man up and put on trousers and not mini skirts and stop drinking baby milk. When are we going to team up and say enough is enough of the foreign nonsense.
Did France have anything to do with the coup.
Coup has been way of life there, no biggie
This is completely false! How do you post a video about Guinea’s situation yet there’s not ONE Guinean in the video??? Make it make sense. Stop speaking for us, let us speak for ourselves and what we’ve been through and seen.
Why is a boer speaking on a country he never been to!
I’m not understanding why you have a non Guinean talking about Guinea. The imperialist mindset of the West is keeping Africa poor. It’s time for a mindset shift.
The west smuggle minerals from all over Africa. Anyway... The iron Ore with Liberia..recently signed a contract in Liberia for reopening / combining. @Lamco for the Iron ore in Liberia and Guinea..sharing the same mountain..
All care about your self's not or the products of country not about the struggles of people in the country this life no balance
