I just played a game against Gwen where I was actively playing around all her abilities. I had no idea why I was taking so much damage from 1 to 2 snips per trade. Every 3 seconds. Playing at her max range and getting Q+E snipped for not even the full Q duration and losing half my hp because of a blasting wand. Then not being able to trade back because of her W. then side stepping every single cast of her ultimate, having 89 damage dealt from R (dodging 8/9 needles) and dying because you can’t run and can’t duel her :-)
Edit: only reason I’m complaining is because I literally had no idea where the damage was coming from, dodging her Q’s true damage, dodging all her ult casts, and not even trying to duel her in melee range and I’m still dying under turret

Gwen is weak at sustain so u just try to poke and when lv6 and she has half hp left the rq combo is enuf to 1shot her. U should never try to win a all in fight as i can say even if u dodge most of the skill u still lose her as u are nothing if u used all ur abilities.

@@Nezauriad Sion was truly weak before and his winrate been very low as much you get higher ranks. lower, lower and lower. He's never been an S+ or OP tier on any tierlists for many years(and all tank suffer from that, only Orrn being sometimes in "meta". Sion got target nefs on passive now, nerfs on shield this patch, sunfire(core item) also was nerfed, hullbreaker(core item) also was nerfed and now is no reason to rush it before 13-14lv(stats suck), but at this stage of game team try to group, and in late game are more and more teamfights(before many sions tryed to rush hull in early, split, and at late game sold hull for more efficient teamfight item). Tank sion- is not OP. Every tank sucks from bruisers, bc they rush vampiric items, and from tanks only poppy buy a devine sunderer. There are no OP items for tanks. No death dance, no mom, goredrinker and others

Today I relized that Baus is not only macro-wise a genius, but is also mechanically extremely top tier. It's also huge when you realize he plays an off-meta low tier pick. Imagine how high he would rank if he played a more rewarding champion

@@RamiroCharriol that's not how that works. He prob played something like 10000 Sion games. Do you really think it's just that easy to pick a champ up and get that kind of experience? The fact that he doesn't have to think about any mechanics of the champion because it's all "muscle memory" also has a BIG impact on his good macro. This is basically why it's good to OTP a champ if you want to climb.

I feel bad for baus.
I stopped playing league for the same reason he's distressed of right now.
The champions you like aren't as strong as the meta dominating champions with overloaded kits right now, most of the time you'll just lose and stress yourself (old volibear suffered a lot because of this, and the new one isn't much different), watching his stream when this happens (which is almost every time) is very painful.
But you have to admire baus's resilience for moments like this where he can put all the champion's potencial in pratice and still win the game.

Overloaded 200 years champs like yone have a 40% pick/ban rate across multiple elos? Riot buffs yone just in case a single item nerf hurts him.
Overlooked, overshadowed champ finds 1 strategy that makes them almost viable but still picked/ban rate not even close to 10%? Riot guts them.
This is the same riot that claims they balance all champs equally and don't have bias in balancing.
Thats why the game is trash, champs like Yone/Irelia/Akali/Camille/Fiora/Riven/Qiyana actually strange the meta out because the champs are so overloaded they end up gatekeeping non cringe champs. The skill it takes to play them is extremely over stated because teh champs have tools for nearly every situation
League is like boxing/mma, good to watch but painful and traumatising for the participants. Just watch streamers and dont play the game and you will be happier.

I still don’t know why they nerfed Sion into the ground when Irelia and Aatrox are picked at a much higher rate. Sion was such a niche pick that only really does well on someone who knows how to play him, otherwise he just fed. So dumb how riot balances things

yea if you play lethality tank sion melts turrets and also doesnt die with his ridiculously high base damages enemy team must have atleast 2 guys on you at all fimes otherwise you just end the game its literally unplayable

Keep nerfing champs people want to play
I used to rush frozen heart and que up bot lane with pyke support to look for kills under tower, but now that doesn't work anymore. You're completely correct that sion has no good matchups top, but the durability patch only made it much much worse for sion. A lot of people are stacking percent health damage and building bruiser with bork and divine sunderer rushes. You even see some adcs doing it, then top does it, then jungle does it. That's 3 people with divine/bork rush vs sion makes the game unplayable. Mages are rushing percent health burn as well, if they can apply it constantly. I had a zed with divine and bork vs me, and I couldn't kill him with fully charged r and q.
Since the towers now deal a hell of a lot more damage, the sion strat with frozen heart rush into tower dives bot with pyke took a big hit, and are now too risky to do properly. Now you have to let them push into you. I stopped playing Sion altogether and swapped to Rengar jungle. Whether I rush frozen heart, or go full damage, I can't get ahead on Sion anymore.
Bauss playstyle in a nutshell:
1) exchange one wave for death 10 times (basically int for 15 minutes and make it hell for your teammates)
2) split push (make it hell for enemy. Now both teams want to kill themselves)
3) hope ur team can hold
4) one good fight and win.
1.5) take your junglers camps to get that 12 cs/min because who cares about your jungler...
You know a champion is overnerfed when even the best player in the world on that champ thinks it's weak

Use inting Tryndamere, with axiom arc and attack speed build. Focus towers while popping ulty, same result as your Sion strat. Get demolish rune, you can make it work same way.

3 14 support sion carried entire enemy team today because you cant win vs sion with hull and get any objectives so yea pretty bad champ
The Q bug is caused by activating/manually popping your shield. It’s a known exploit used for changing the Q location while charging it.

I think you should stick more to volibear... similar playstyle (tank/juggernaut that deas good damage), pretty much same ult (does damage to towers) and he is pretty much never weak, it's just the builds that change from time to time, also one of the few champs that can go full tank, full ad, or full ap and still kick ass

@@webaazul2500 Truly sad indeed, I pretty much only play Darius and Sion at a diamond level, other champs I'm quite a bit worse at. Tank Sion is pickable into some matchups, but AD Sion seems extremely weak right now. Which is tragic because it's a very fun playstyle

AD sion just can't get his damaging abilities off fast enough 90% of the time. He outright needs some way to ignore at least 1 form of CC while charging his damn q. It doesnt perfectly fix him but it fixes a decent amount of bad matchups (ie anyone that has even 1 form of hard cc, IE half the champs in the game)
That, or his Q needs to charge faster.
I think sion Q should immune to CC if W is on and his E should knock back anyone who is dashing and should put ground on the enemies ontop of the slow.

@@altanatmac9896 no hear me out. Sion only immune to CC when charging up Q with W on and only become immune to CC if the W lasted for 3s while charging up Q equal to the recast time of W. Also the E only ground enemies if it’s a direct hit not hit by minion.
@@AgentYellowWang Sions E is too easy to hit for it to be buffed as you suggest but I like the idea of W or Q making him temporary immune to cc. Would allow some nice outplays

They nerf Sion's only semi-viable strategy by absolutely demolishing his turret damage even though he hasn't got a single favorable matchup. And yet Irelia winning almost every single matchup, tower diving at level 3, and outscaling Sion is ok? Yeah sure Riot.

I buy anti heal against aatrox and it’s useless. Sion as a champ can’t apply grievous wound on aatrox since aatrox out range him and heal with abilities not auto so bamble doesn’t work if he just decides to not auto you.

I've been saying it forever now, but they really need to balance Sion his early game damage is non-existent but he has the potential to become a monster late game. Surviving his laning phase is the reason why Sion has such a shit win rate because his damage is all based off scaling mainly through buying items. The fact that Baus lands a fully charged Q which takes 2 seconds to charge on Aatrox and does 371 damage then Aatrox lands a Q1 crit for 225 followed by a Q3 crit for 347. How can you only do 371 damage when you have to sit still and charge an attack for 2 entire seconds, while Aatrox can land Q3 crit for 347 damage with it being instant cast and only giving ~.5s to dodge. Riots ability to balance has always been shit and I think early game Sion is the greatest example of that.

Sion's Q requires 2 seconds of standing still to stun for 2.5s in a game where everyone has a million dashes. Whereas Aatrox has a dash and his Q's (all 3 of them) knock up and his W is a slow that pulls people back to the center if they don't get out of range in time. It is a million times easier to land Aatrox Q followed by his W followed by his other TWO Q's. If Aatrox lands 1 Q followed by his W and it activates he has a free Q and that is more CC than Sion's 2s charge into a 2.5s stun.

@@atrozzorta9602 Both champions are designed to do different things though. Sion was designed as a tank, with a focus on controlling an area. His Q is less designed as a straight damaging tool and more as zoning, with its huge area of effect and very high stun time, which can be better than multiple small instances of CC, because your doesn't get time in-between those instances to react, they just have to take it all at once. You can see that zoning playstyle in his passive too, it is not hard to get away from it, but you really need to get away from it. I also find it really interesting that you bring up the millions of dashes in the game as an argument to Sion Q being bad in comparison to Aatrox Q, when Aatrox also struggles against champions with dashes that can get away from the W, that is not nearly as good as you make it out to be, and from his Q sweetspots. Aatrox may be really strong right now, especially from the perspective of a Sion player, that gets countered by the champion, but saying that the juggernaut building damage dealing more damage than the tank with hard to land abilities building damage and still getting very high HP is unfair doesnt make much sense.
