Very honest Nick, well done you! You can't possibly like every bike in the end.
No, I didn’t actively seek this one, my local dealer asked if I wanted to try it. Not something I’d go for. Worth a try tho !
@@nicksepisode The brand is very niche to me. It's a one trick pony as they say. Ride around for a tankful and then back in the car for everything else like day out or shopping.
@simonchilli2088 true true
Nick - how about giving the 401 a shot? It seems to get good reviews, but an honest review from you would be very interesting. Cheers!
Ill have a look into it, cheers
According to the subtitles, It's called the "Husk of zad Killin" 😂
lol that fits well
What would you recommend for the same price?
Z900, MT-09 or a MT-07
It wasn't until 1924 though that the first "scramble" race would be organized at Camberley, Surrey. It wasn't until the 1930's though that it officially became known as motocross and really began to take off. Scrambling in my mind predates proper off road bikes.
Yes agreed
Nr ONE ‼‼☝☝😆
Bit of a confusing review. I've ridden one for a good while and of course I understand not everyone liking every bike but some points I find a bit odd:
1. The straight out of the factory settings are not for offread use of course. The suspernsion is fully adjustable and so is the throttle response. On basic street mode, it's definitely far too snatchy in low gears but that's again, adjustable.
2. I didn't really notice much vibration, nor any flopping of the mirrors. Don't know what's going on with your bike but that seems a bit odd
3. Ride mode was adjustable while riding, close the throttle and it changes. Strange it doesn't work on your end
4. I have small-ish hands but definitely don't have short arms and the indicator/control buttons don't feel any further off than anything else I've ridden. But I guess that's more personal than anything. Same with the seat, I found it to be quite comfy honestly.
5. The whole camshaft thing, it's supposedly fixed in this 2024 model but time will tell. But the amount of people mentioning it without knowing much about it is disproportionate to the amount of people actually having issues.
6. Curious about the cold start rattle, would have loved to hear it in the vid but it sounds like you got a bike that fell off the truck somewhere. Definitely didn't encounter any rattling at any point.
The price, yeah you're definitely paying for looks. If you want a machine with all the bells and whistles, the mt-09 SP is a fantastic beast. Or the Street Triple 765 R/RS if you want it more sporty.
Anyway, thanks for the review, just wanted to point out some things that I've experienced differently. Also, not a Husqvarna or KTM (or any brand) fan and not paid (I wish) by any of them. Just tried one for a while.
Very valid response and thank you for sharing your thoughts too.
KTM and Husqvarna are like VW and Audi. Same thing, different wrapping and price. ( I own an Audi 🤭)
Would actually be cool if they made a Svartpilen/Vitpilen 1400, based on the Superduke 1390. Would probably look like an angry and horny Megatron 😆
It would be a nice additional to the crazy pool of bikes out there for sure!
I didnt even like the look of it.. the rear looks really weird to me.
It’s very petite
This bike you don't live with. You don't USE it.... You buy it, ride once a month - show it to others.... Then park it in a VISIBLE place and enjoy the "view" 😀 - just like the Mandello 100...
This is so true!! Same for ducati!
Nick: Mr. Dealer is there an uglier Bike than an KTM Duke
Dealer: Take this Husqvarna Svartpilen. Other Brandname same KTM Shit
Nick: And whats the most comon tuning Part
Dealer: It even comes for free so you will have no discussions with your wife. You see this Bar?
Nick: Yeah what it is for?
Dealer: It´s the special throw away Bar for KTM and Husqvarna so that you can buy an real bike. Like this Honda.... This BMW.... This Suzuki.... This Kawa.... This Yamaha..... This Royal Enfield....
