Jen is dead right about the Milani mascara, btw. I bought it when she first reviewed it and it is exactly the same as the Thrive. Exactly. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and have worn it every day. I am a DEVOTED Thrive mascara lady and I am now buying multiple back ups of the Milani just in case they discontinue it for some reason. LOL.
I am so excited to try this. Crazy thing....I just fell in love with Tarte's new tubing mascara and haven't bought Thrive since. So I guess it's an even better time to try Milani. Thanks for the review from a fellow viewer of Jen's.
I really enjoyed this video. I purchased a lot of makeup this past year. I don't wear much makeup at home most days just lipstick eyebrow shadow with an angled brush to apply. I love Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator and Elf Halo glow filter foundation. I also wear concealer daily and I rotate between 3;or 4. Wearing Joah today. Love Elf's Lip Balm at bedtime and Elf Holy Hydration. Great video.👍💗❗

Target has the Colorpop Ladybird super shock in a duo pack right now-if it isn’t sold out-at least in the Utah Target stores. It is a beautiful super shock shadow. My 2nd favorite is Ritz. It is like Ladybird, but with a beige undertone so not quite so white. It is excellent.
I bought Ladybird thanks to you. I had purchased a couple of other supershock shadows and couldn't figure out what the hype was about. Ladybird was not in stock at the time... so finally I saw it in stock at Ulta and I snatched it up. I love it so much! I use it as a topper and always get compliments on my eyes. I'm 54 and metallic shadows aren't great for my older eyes, but fine glitter gives me some glam without emphasizing texture. Thank you for recommending it! It is very special. Try the wet n Wild skinny eyebrow pencil if you can find it... in taupe. It's precise, stiff, and the prefect cool tone without being grey. I can't find that color at Wal-Mart but when mine is gone it was either CVS or Walgreens that had it. Nobody talkes about it, such a hidden gem!

My daughter and I both love Wet n Wild eyebrow pencils! We use them every day. The only problem I have with them is they go empty so quickly. I find myself having to buy them a lot

I like the Milani mascara, but I feel it gets clumpier faster than the Tarte and Thrive. Still like Thrive the best. The Milani seems to sometimes leave mascara marks on my bone above my crease.

I literally JUST bought the L’Oreal infallible foundation today bc u talked about it in a recent video. I thought I was allergic to chemical spf for years but I actually had perioral dermatitis so now I get to try a bunch of foundations I’d previously been afraid to use!
I love these videos! Thank you for sharing! The only 2 products that I would say are my holy grail products would be the It CC cream and the Natasha Denona Glam Palette all other categories I am fickle about.
If you want to try a different finishing spray, ELF makes one that is also a blue light filter that works great. Keeps my makeup nice for a really long time. Also better prices.
I got the wet n wild because of you...saves me so much money. I go between Sky high Milani Highly Rated depending on my effort level...the Milani is very wet❤
I absolutely still love the Thrive mascara and Urban Decay All Nighter. The All Nighter is the only setting spray I’ll use. I do work 12+ hour shifts so it’s a must. Love your videos. They’re always fantastic. I did order the Milani mascara and can’t wait for it to get here. I’d love a cheaper option for mascara. By the way, your lashes look freaking amazing today! Wow!
Maybelline Sky high IS a version of a tubing mascara. It doesn’t come off well with makeup remover or face wash, but a cotton pad with just water or just putting water on your lashes removes it instantly. It melts off instead of coming off in globs- which is why I think so many people don’t think it’s “tubing.” I can’t even remove it with micellar water despite that being made up of mostly water. Needs to be plain water. Weird, but that’s the trick.
And using an "erase your face" type cleansing cloth, which you really only need water with, makes it much easier to remove. But yeah, I agree, it's tubing-esque but not exactly tubing. @MandyLea when you replace your Sky High get the Cosmic Black version in the black tube. The pigment is so much more intense and I think it makes my lashes look even better! This one and Thrive are my two faves - the new Milani is a pretty darn good dupe but I still like the Thrive a smidge better. (Enough to spend $26 instead of like $10? Jury is currently out)
Holy Grail powder foundation - Laura Gellar CC foundation powder in medium!!! Her products are over the top lovely and so easy to buff on at 7am when our 5 and 3 year old Grandbabies are coming to blow up our home for 9 and 1/2 hours during the week!!! I love my liquid foundations (new Dior matte stunning) for all other makeup looks, but quick buffing you can not beat it.
It’s good to see which products maintain HG status…proving they are truly good ones. I cannot find the Flower Beauty Heatwave Bronzer anywhere….either in store or online. Any ideas where to find it are appreciated.
Get friendly with store clerks at CVS. I have one who's been known to hold certain makeup products aside if I tell her I'm looking for something specific. A big fat avocado or fresh loaf of bread from the local farmers' market goes a long way. Not quite a bribe, and I do pay full price for these items, but I usually get what I'm looking for as soon as an order is unpacked and before the display is picked over.
Don't have many HG products, they always end up discontinued; but BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Gel Tint or whatever it's full name is, is my favorite foundation since it released, and you can't go wrong with Burt's Bees lip balms. I am becoming very fond of Gwen Stefani's black eyeliner, too.
A “luxury” about drug store cosmetics is I don’t need to watch the sales at Ulta, Sephora, etc. anymore. I don’t have to wait for the mail, I don’t have to limit my purchases, I don’t have to get to a mall, or buy the wrong shade because a salesgirl said it was spectacular on me. Also high end products “discontinue” constantly which is just a way to pressure sell only to start from scratch to find that substitute - until they discontinue again.Drug store cosmetics has become a luxury for me and they’re located on every corner. I am taking back the fun I used to have with makeup. Also, this is weird but when you were saying your not concerned about setting sprays for longevity I said the same exact thing, word for word exactly when you were saying it. I felt like you were watching me for a sec😳.
Ok, I usually love Thrive's mascara, but it's been a while since I ordered from them, so I decided to treat myself. The tube I just got a few weeks ago has been really crumbly and actually kinda irritating... I stopped using it for a bit, and funny enough, I've gone back to using my Sky High instead! It's a great mascara, really impressed and will buy it again. Will try Thrive's again, because I refuse to waste $24, but I'm a little concerned that they've lost their edge.

I absolutely agree with ALL the products that you’ve picked out for this video!!! The only things I haven’t tried are the Flower Beauty bronzer and the CP super shock in Ladybird. I definitely want to pick those two up and give them a go❣️The L’Oréal Infallible foundation will forever be a holy grail in my collection! I love it as a mixer with some of my lighter serum foundations to help the longevity of their wear times! That mizon snail cream did not work for me. I found it odd, I have oily skin and it looked so dry and cakey on me considering you love it with your dry skin. Probably one of the worst I've tried. I think the wet and wild photo focus powder is my holy grail powder. So smooth and perfecting, not dry or cakey. Love the juicy pang blushes. Makeup revolution cream bronzer is great, I've wanted the flower beauty bronzer for so long. Awhile ago I ordered it and they shipped the wrong color. While returning it to Ulta I decided I didn't need it so I didn't order another one. Now I wish I had, lol. I have so many mascaras that I've tried that don't work the same after I get another tube of it. Very frustrating. Can't find a great one yet. Right now my favorite is the essence curl and volume. We'll see once I get another tube of it if I still like it. Essence nude highlighter is beyond perfect. Don't need anything else. Believe beauty at dollar general makes a fabulous foundation. I ran out before winter hit, so I don't know if it works on my skin in the winter which is drier-gotta go through my other 3 kinds I have lying around, lol. So far revlon lipsticks are my favorite. So creamy, yet they last awhile. Really good!
Does the Rimmel stay matte powder have a scent to it? I tried one of their lip glosses last year and the smell was awful. I just couldn't get passed it and had to throw it away, so I was curious about the powder. Thanks
Yes, I use Rimmel's Stay Matte pressed powder everyday. It does have a fragrance, but it's very soft, very pretty and dissipates quickly. Answering for you bc I don't know if Mandy will.
Faint floral almost fragrance - fragrance in makeup and facial skincare makes me nauseous but the Rimmel stay matte powder is so light it doesn’t bother me at all, barely notice it
My holy grail brow pencil is the Wet n Wild micro brow pencil. I've repurchased so many times. I don't care to buy any others. It's only like $3! Wet n Wild has good primer waters (I love them all -- coconut, cucumber, rose scents). I always use it before primer and after I'm finished with my makeup. Then I go over all that with my Milani Make it Last setting spray. Have you tried the Purlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream? It's my #1 base product!! 🥰🥰🥰
I have the new Milani mascara on my lashes now and it is horrible. 1/2 of it has fallen off. I had no face care or other make up with it. Also, Jen put out a post that she may have changed her mind. I will look forward to your review!
I don't think Jen changed her mind, she said she wipes off excess b4 using like she does with all mascaras. She just forgot to mention that. She said she does that with the Thrive as well.
I absolutely love that Milani mascara. It doesn’t smudge or flake at all. It doesn’t make my eyelashes all crunchy, they’re still somehow soft but loaded with product. Plus it’s so cool how it comes off in tubes.
The thrive cosmetics mascara really irritated my eyes for some reason. I wanted to love it. I have super sensitive eyes though and any mascara that has a smell to it bothers my eyes, some more than others.

It has to be warm water too. I used to use cool water to wash my face, but I need to let the water get noticeably warm remove the SkyHigh.

I've tried many mascaras. Right now my favorite is big lash by lancome. It can be a bit flakey but I love the thickness and length it gives.

How would you compare the Mizon to Purito? I love the Purito for making my skin look younger somehow.
I have both and I prefer the Purito. The Mizon looked a little dry and cakey compared to the Purito.
I like the benefit brow much better than the Ulta one.
