I really appreciate these webcasts (i get my 150i tomorrow!) and really looking forward to playing with it. I picked up a couple of short 2.5 male (right angle) to 2.1 female adapters on amazon, so i can continue to use all my 2.1 cables.
A good explanation of the Locking Pin / Clutches. Thanks for taking the time to review it in detail..! Does Sky-Watcher provide periodic error plots and guarantee a maximum limit for the 100i and 150i like ZWO? Overall, the webcast provided a good technical overview of the 100i and 150i. Thanks
Would 150i mount work if I split my 12V 10A battery output to 2 cables lead to the mount? Then I would connect Asiair and Asi2600mc from the saddle power ports. Could another port of my battery with 3A output power the mount alone? In other words my battery has no 2 12V 10A power ports.
You would either need to use the SynScan Pro app for wireless control or we recommend picking up one of our SynScan hand controllers for a more traditional form of control. The Waves work just as any of our other GoTo mounts do. Set it up as you with (AZ or EQ mode), out in your location, time and date then follow the alignment prompts. Once aligned just select an object to view.
The EQM-35 has its own tripod. The azimuth pin is casted onto the top of that EQM-35 tripod which prevents the EQ6 extension or the Wave mounts to be used with it. You would need the carbon or the coming steel tripod.
@@SkyWatcherUSA Yes absolutely, could be an alternative for an Ioptron HAE69 or an Rainbow Astro rst300. I for sure am very interested ... An Wave150i is just not enough for many people
this usb versus eqmod thing is just fishy - why you sell it as usb and then ask us to buy eqmod ..... you already ask us to buy a lot of stuff and we alreay paid for a mount that is 2k ... i m still modding my eq6 after 11 years and i'm not done yet, just release something finished for once
There are a multitude of ways to run a mount so there are multiple ways to make the connection. The market wants USB as its easy to obtain and widely used so of course we support that. However, our team prefers the EQmod connection as we find serial connections to be more solid over time. We cover this in the video showing both methods as people do it both ways. We only provide our recommendations. If you buy a telescope do you not need a flattener, or corrector of some sort? Do you not need an autoguider and a guidescope? What about a camera? Should that include filters and the wheel? What about eyepieces? Diagonals? Our goal is to provide a stable platform to use. As with anything there will also be recommended accessories which will vary from set up to set up. Nothing in this hobby is "finished" out of the box because it requires the owner to build their set up in the way they see fit.

Awesome, sounds like you are in business then! Enjoy it.
Is the USB port on the saddle a USB 2.0 or USB 3.1 connection?

We do not provide error plots for out mounts. Most people will pop a guidescope and autoguide allowing the mount to perform as it should for imaging.
@@SkyWatcherUSA ZWO has set the bar high for acceptable P to P error. It would be nice to see Sky Watcher do the same.

Could you explain how to use the wave for visual please ?

@@SkyWatcherUSA thank you very much
Which skywatcher tripod type comes with eqm35 pro? Can it be used with Eq6r extension for 150i mount?

@SkyWatcherUSA what about eq5/heq5 wave pier extension? Eq5 tripod has also a dowel like eqm35.
Will there come a Wave 300i ?
That would be pretty cool wouldn't it!
