Some of this may be "re-runs" but this is a better quality version. First off, Pacific P-16 H-46, then Hayes HDX H-152 smoking badly with a blown injector. Next, HDX H-289, finally H-45.
sheep dip, I remember getting run off the road by those big beasts on the way to & from port alberni to Bamfield & lake Cowichan etc.on Vancouver island back in 1975-85's .what was in them for engines? anyone out there remember? Jimmy or cat engines?amazing those ole M&B trucks are still alive & running,HR sure did not go cheap in any of his operations, yep the good ol days. thanks for posting this vid, brought back pleasant memories.
Clint Tauber, the trucks used many engines as you stated.I know one of the biggest was the WHDX 1000 Hayes, W for wide which had a 16V-71 Detroit in it w/ about 636h.p. Also in poundage, what were the Clark hub reduction rears rated at, 150,000 or more? Great vids!!!
The incredible loads these things can handle is so amazing
Note the total lack of health and safety concerns with the load!! Love it
