- We take Oliver and Classy to the farrier! Oliver is our 3 year old Rescue Clydesdale stallion and Classy is our 4 year old Missouri Foxtrotter mare. Our farrier/blacksmiths name is Reuben and we absolutelyloge him! He is very talented at what he does and outs a lot of tome and care in to each horse.

Oliver is such a good boy. I really think he remembers where he came from and appreciates where he is now. What a beautiful thing it is to see a horse like Oliver get a second chance at life.

Oliver has the classic Clydesdale temperament: calm, gentle, cooperative. He is wonderful.
Oliver has got so big!! And hes such a good and well behaved boy. He is a testament to your excellent training.
Look how well Oliver does. Best donation I have ever made to get him. THANK YOU for not giving up and finding him and THEN saving his life. I honestly think, one more day and Oliver would have been down never to get up again. SO THANKFUL.

I love how, when JR was leading Oliver to the trailer after being shoed, Oliver almost looked like he caught himself thinking "oh right, a girl, better act studdy! ~Hello beautiful~"... and then imideatly went back to munching on grass. What a chill dude! No wonder he's such a good boy ❤

Watching a farrier is fascinating to me. I’m always amazed by how they can stay bent over for so long, how great they are at accurately forming the shoe on the anvil, & that the hot fitting doesn’t hurt the horse. Classy always looks like she enjoys being ridden. Tail up, ears forward, & lots of energy. Oliver’s such a good boy! 💖💖

they get super love from these folks...my dad was a gentle man with our work horse but I did see him get angry ,,and jr does not.. Jr is so knowledgeable and a patient gentleman..

The fact that Oliver stands like a regular horse to have the farrier work on him just shows what proper training does regardless of breed or size. Also, I love the fact that Ruben shapes the shoe to the foot and not the other way around. To many horses are made sore and or crippled by making the hoof fit the shoe. Or bad trims in general.
I know it took a-lot of groceries and care to bring Oliver back,but he is magnificent! Helps to speak the language of his people! Used to love swimming with my pinto in summer..KS hot🌅

I was hoping you’d tell us about how much a farrier visit costs. I think it’s important for people to learn the costs of owning horses. Is it less if you take the horse to the farrier shop than if they come to your homestead?
Thanks for showing that. Oliver’s clip-clop has an ASMR effect on me! You guys could make a grooming ASMR with the brushing, the jingle of tacking up, and a ride on Oliver! 🥰
