    Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"!

    The Spirit of the Union Pacific--yay! And I knew when you said "Epic Snow Dump" that it was gonna be in Revy...they really got blizzarded. Some nice meets and I loved the Hesperia footage; I could almost smell the wet sagebrush. And then that lovely eagle--!!!--plus another beautiful ending. Bravo and thank you--another great one!

    8:20 The new, somewhat surprising (or maybe not so considering new controlling owner Grupo Mexico/Ferromex) FEC loco paint scheme.
    Will be interesting if the Champion Heritage Scheme on the GE LNG units will long survive.

      That swayback geometry unit (NS 34) is not the "Brick," which is NS 38 and has "The Brick" painted on its side. Recall the GB segment of both units and their companion cars in one train in Roanoke on Oct 18. Both were in the old N&W coach facility at the N&W East end Shops Sunday afternoon.

      Aren’t they taking the engines out of them first and selling them? I could easily be wrong though.

    • @kennethfuller8347
      @kennethfuller8347 6 месяцев назад +1

      If you look at the exhaust stacks on the 1st, and 3rd genset units they're open, which would be an indication that they are running. Not sure why they would scrap a functional unit .. seems it could be used for yard, or local switching. And I'm not familiar with that type of loco. I've been a railfan for many yrs. and don't remember seeing that model before.

    • @kennethhanks6712
      @kennethhanks6712 6 месяцев назад +1

      @kennethfuller8347 Stack lids were possibly open due to the wind of movement or just stuck open. These locos retired from service as they proved poor and inefficient performers (the concept of several small engines in each loco with only 1, 2 or all 3 being used as needed was just not practicle) and were too costly to maintain.
