That 'gun metal' look over matt black could be perfect for all sorts of future-based models and props. Thanks for this.
It would look great on a steam locomotive smokebox.
Another awesome review. The Green Stuff World Chrome is amazing and love the fact it is alcohol based. No toxic fumes and easy clean up. I am painting a life sized Master Yoda and used their Yoda Green acrylic, and it is another great paint. The color is spot on and has just the right sheen.
Nice black chrome , I just got their matte surface primer and it came out amazing .....almost as smooth as a lacquer .......impressed with what green stuff world is doing......
congratulations Haven
Thank you again for another chrome test. Glad you try different colors to spray on. I like the chrome tests the most.
Wowsers..that is so cool. I love your personality and testing. I am going to pick up my first model car kit this weekend since I was a youth in the late 70s and. I'll order some of this and try it out!
Welcome back to the hobby my friend
These videos are so amazing. I really appreciate the info you provide and demonstrations for these products.
Thank you my friend, much appreciated
What a fantastic result! Excellent test. I could see me painting some wheels for my car kits in that black chrome. Congratulations to the winner of the compressor! I'm looking forward to the test on those Odenkan metallics.
Congratulations Haven Torres for the win.
Shipping these days is absolutely ridiculous.
That is some really good looking black chrome, I'm going to have to order some of that.
Thanks again Robert for another awesome review.
You're welcome buddy 👍
Thank you sir!
Thanks BR! I learn something every time I watch.
Some great acrylic paint test coming. I'm really looking forward to them. Thanks Robert
Great test! Their regular chrome looks really nice and their black does too. I'm liking the results I'm seeing with Green Stuff World and they do make some interesting products. I'll probably have to put together an order, so I can start playing around with their stuff myself.
Great review as is usual-100,000 is close by
You have the best reviews..... You have saved me a lot of money by watching your reviews. Thank you and keep up the great videos
Man oh man, I've been binging your videos. Made up my mind on the chrome paint after watching this one. Going to try the Green Stuff World airbrush chrome. Going to use it as a base coat for Candy2o emerald green. I did a nova with molotow liquid chrome and candy2o blue and it looks great. But that molotow chrome is so sensitive. Let it cure for 3 weeks and still would dull to the touch.
Thanks for all your videos. I've got a ton more to watch.
nice black chrome review, thanks for video
Thank you for the video. Just bought the mica powders and they came in, all I can say is Wow. Nice colors, works great.
Great video as always! Take care.
smooth shine finishing. Love this paint
Thanks for the demonstration! I used the GS Chrome on one of my robots and he turned out amazing! You might try masking part of your spoons with painter's tape to help show the difference when it is really slight or hard to see on camera. Remove the tape and you will see the difference so much easier. Thanks again for all you do!!
Thank you for doing what you do for us. I buy most products that you show on your channel especially the airbrushes.
Looking forward to seeing the humbrol clear. I have a bottle but can’t quite get it working well in my airbrush. But I’m brobably doing it wrong. Only time I’ve had good results is dipping clear parts.
Another great test and congrats to the newest winner.
I love that Sunin7 green/teal, such a unique color!
I just got done ordering a bottle as I have this cool all black Gundam on preorder that I think it would look awesome on so thanks for the review ☺️
I love shooting Green Stuff Chrome. Did the Red Baron helmet with that. Love the look
The difference between GSW brush on chrome and the airbrush is the brush on uses an acrylic hardener it’s basically like Pledge or Floor Shine clear with the chrome pigment. You don’t want to thin it with IPA like the alcohol based airbrush formula because it will turn the acrylic milky white and you will get white splotchy areas on your surface. You can thin it with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner to airbrush it. Did extensive tests between the two. Think Mr. Color Super Metallic 2 thinned with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner.
Great looking Black Chrome. Great review.
Glad you tested that stuff was thinking about it.
I love that black crome 👍👍
Just ordered the black Crome for my lightsaber, it’s printed in a fairly glossy black
SMS also just released a third of their Hyperchrome lineup "Dark Tone" I wonder how it compares to other black chromes
I think I like the shiny chrome stuff better than black chrome personally
That black chrome looks really nice.
I have a The Fly model I’m gonna be doing so all these metallic examples are really helpful since I need to make the eyes a shiny metallic yellow/orange color
Green Stuff does some great bits but the shipping is crazy. I usually get them from Mighican Toy Store or Games Plus when they have them in.
Great video as always. I'm really interested to see how the nail polish comes out myself.
If you need greenstuff I have 2 shops in the United States one in Michigan and one in Pennsylvania they have all there Products they've had them since the beginning of the new year I use a lot of there stuff Just about everything i've tried from the line is amazing
Great brand. Last I checked either of these shops had the Black Chrome in yet
What shops?
@@chaley2935 Michigan Toy Soldier is one. Green Stuff World also has a store on Etsy
@@barbatosrex9473 Thanks
Man! I just got some tools from green stuff world a couple weeks ago. I'd of added this paint to the cart if I knew about it😅 Very nice.
Great company
Love it great color
Pastel colors are also nice for 1950s car models. They used 2 tone color schemes.
I’m trying to download your app but am having issues. I just joined and haven’t yet bought a compressor and was interested in what you showed today. I have been watching your videos for a while now and they are really great and helpful
Looks good for the price.
Still waiting for you to airbrush the “brushable” chrome. I airbrush it all the time. I use it for all my car bumpers.
Congratulations to the winner 🏆
That chrome looks great! Loving the tests
Congratulations Haven! What paint would you recommend for someone that's never touched airbrushing?
Mr Color or Tamiya
@@barbatosrex9473 Thank you Sir!
Awesome review! Thanks for that, it's a neat product.
I've been using GSW's gold chrome and it's actually pretty good. It's the same shade as Hobbymio's green gold, and it's pretty shiny. You tested it in a previous video, but you went a bit heavy on it - I've been having good results with two passes at most.
Some good looking metallics!👍
Chrome looks really good
Looks good
Speaking of clear primers, I'm on the market for some and so far I've only found one from Mission and another from Ammo by Mig. Trying to paint a clear piece with some clear colors to keep that translucent look. Would you be interested in doing a clear primers video?
Looks great. Can you do another normal v thinned test but do a set number of passes of each so that we can see how close the results are. Like if it needs 10 passes for the normal to get X result but requires 20 passes of thinned then its not worth thinning, but if its 10 passes of normal viscosity for x result versus 12 passes of thinned then it is worth the thinning
Got the brush on GSW chrome but didn't try yet, guess I should xD!
It's awesome, check out my past video of it
The gunmetal effect you got over the flat black may be the effect I'm looking for on a K2SO model (Rogue One). The shiny may be good as Beskar on Mandolorian model.
Congrats haven, and if hes outside of US fingers crossed for my second chance lol
I’ve got a question. What is the difference between airbrush paint and paint you use with a hand brush? And can you tell the difference ? And congratulations to HavenTorres for winning the compressor.
We love a good chrome
Who doesn't
Amazing video! Can you advise me how to thin acrilics metallic paints that have this little particles so my airbrush doesn't get stuck. Thanks.
I just wish Greenstuff didn't have to ship from overseas. They have great products.
The Sunin 7 primers are great. They go a long way. I have used a few of them. You really get a lot for what you pay for.
Cool a always. 👍
Not certain if I did my black chrome right.
Black surface gloss primer and black chrome on top. Seems more silver than black?
Chrome time
Oh yeah
That chrome looks nice 👍
Ive always had such trouble with chromes. I like that black chrome though! And the price sounds way more reasonable! Also, how do i go about getting your paints? And are you releasing any new stuff anytime soon?
Thoughts about the aqua gloss as a clear coat?
Are you finding this chrome paint to have an expiration date? I know the pins do. The liquid breaks down. I just tried a drop of green stuff that I hadn't used in months and it seems to be doing the same. It should be made well known if these paints are going to go bad over time.
Nice stuff, goid video.
Boss, check the " MTN - glass to mirror " on figures please!
TBH its a bit hard to see, but no one is at fault here. Can't wait to test it out myself.
Nice.
Thanks for this GSW Chromes are awesome. How long did the shipping take?
8 days
I dont have any crome may as well start with this brand.
Thank you for this info but which black chrome is best?
gosh i cant wait to see my name as the winner LUL keep it up with the fun videos...
That some sexy chrome
How do you think this would work on a RC car body? With flexibility and adhesion?
How about spraying it over chrome kit parts
any other black chrome that you think is the best?
im ready fot your test of sunin 7 try laquer please to!
I've been looking forward to this one. Why doesn't it paint well over lighter colors? Is it not an actual metallic or is it just a color shift paint as you suggest?
It's just a super translucent paint like Alclad and it requires dark base for it to show it's true form.
So pearl. Right
Hello. What gloss black primer do you use? Some special brand? Thank you
Well, I am building some sisters of battle and was thinking how to paint them... Is it the polycarb black or the for plastics you use?
Speaking of nail polish has anyone tried using clear glitter nail polish on beam effects?
Any other ways you use to mix paints? That looks expensive I have a $20 budget for something as a mixer
Hey, what gloss black primers do you recommend most for chrome paints? Does it matter? I live in europe so brands like alclad are hard to come by
Tamiya Spray Can Gloss black TS-14
Hi been find your videos very intresting with great and useful info and you may be able to help me, what would you protect the Green stuff world chrome with? It looses its mirrored look upon touch and every model varnish ive tried hads ruined it too, i was thinking of getting the alclad aqua coat would you mind test it on the GSW Chrome? it would be really helpful, also is the aqua coat suitable to brush on also as im using the chrome on small intricate parts that are too small to airbrush, thanks
That Typhoon mixer looks an awful lot like a VWR Vortex just spray painted red.
Nice
Wonder how this would look on a Gundam inner frame on a kit.
I just got in a primer for the poly cap and frame plastic. I'll be testing it soon
I never know what top coat to use for a mirror like finish :c
i want one of those paint mixers. It looks like something that would be popular with the ladies.
Hi guys. I hope all of you are doing well.
The black chrome can be applied with a brush ?
What was the pressure you use to airbrush it with ?
What does black chrome over chrome look like?
oh, hi Mark...
