Incredible Petrified Wood Hike - Escalante Petrified Forest State Park

The Petrified Forest Trail in Escalante Petrified Forest State Park is a relatively off-the-radar treasure trove of petrified wood. Tucked away just outside of the town of Escalante, Utah, the discrete state park has only one hiking trail, but it trail wanders through some of the most spectacular examples of petrified wood found anywhere in the region. In this video, I go over what to expect from this fun and educational trail, while also going over the options for an extra loop detour.
