The autopilot's code makes use of default X-Plane commands, and we've included those commands in the autopilot section of the manual. So it should be pretty easy to set up with hardware for the AP buttons! :)
I use a VKB Gunfighter III joystick, combined with the throttle from a Logitech X-56. The VKB is super smooth and high-quality, and having a stick rather than a yoke is important for me for development, so I've still got desk space and easy access to the keyboard for programming.
Great job! I just started flying the 208 in XPlane VR and was learning the AP today. This vid helped with my glide slope question. Thanks! 😊
Brilliant and very funny 😀😀😀
You're a legend for these quick tutorials. I just picked up this plane for XP12, looking forward to learning it this evening after work!
you are the best! thanks again. i am looking forward to flying it.
Would autopilot works well with Saitek autopilot panel? Thanks for the tutorials
You’re great at these videos. Would you consider a G1000 tutorial for the Kodiak, when you have the time?
can you fly an LPV (plane will follow artificial glideslope) approach with the autopilot and the GTN 750?
Looks like a great aircraft…would like to see if compatible with Honeycomb Bravo for Alt, Heading, VS control. Note Laminar’s C-172 is compatible.

Thanks for the tutorials, ive been enjoying this plane alot!.
I wanted to ask, what joystick/yoke do you use/recommend
