I couldn't go to hhn. Thanks for the detailed review. Not related to Universal but would love to hear you two review The Haunting of Hill House show. It's my favorite!

Great show! I am a big baby about jump scares and have never done HHN but I loved seeing all your videos of the houses. Almost makes me want to brave HHN next year.

Did our first HHN this year, and LOVED it. Can't wait to go back next year. Only did one night, no express, 1 walk through. so that's all I can base our favorites on, but TCM was my favorite house/no 1. The original movie scared me good first time I saw it in the early 80s, so nostalgic for me, rest of top 5: 2. Scarey, 3 Wicked Growth, 4. Puppet Theater, 5 Hill house. Such an awesome event! Thanks for all the info/vlogs on it.

When we made our traditional day away form Disney at Universal for the holidays, Mannheim Steamroller was a pleasant surprise. Had I known it was going to be there, I would have planned differently. As it was, we luckily caught the show and dropped other choices to take it in. It was incredible.

Always great content. Information you provide is getting my family excited to start planning for UO. We know so many details about WDW, but man universal feels different. Ironic if feels more like planning for a trip to Disneyland. Resort details, food and dinning, park rides and park layouts and events just seem like we are clueless. Keep up the great work chipping away at all the information out there!

last year, for holiday season you paid for scavenger hunt. Also, this year, there was payment for the Halloween modified scavenger hunt/trick or treat this year.

This was an off year. Nothing stood out except Wicked Growth, and it felt tight / enclosed

I think getting the story of a house is important and why the IP houses do so well. I wish there was a good way to maybe do a "ghost hunting" themed video talking about each of the houses and what people experience and what the story is behind each house. The puppet house had a cool story, but it's all done through details on the posters when you enter, which you can't really see clearly. The ballet troupe was finishing their shows at the theater while the puppet troupe was coming in when the earthquake happened, so they were trapped together and the ballet troupe became human puppets. Case Files was another house which would have helped from an explainer video, even like a podcast talking about the house like it's a real haunted location would be on brand.

I feel like staffing was a huge problem this year in general. Almost all of the houses seemed like they were missing actors, some of them were worse than others. The weekend I got to go, Beetlejuice and Tooth Fairy were the worst offenders; there were times I went through those houses and they felt empty.
1:07:18 OMG I HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HOUSE!!! This is the second time in the 4 years I've gone to this event where this has happened but I had the same thing! I had a walk-on early in the night where I literally walked from the regular line straight to the entrance and had no one in front or behind me... Got to see Sam standing with his chainsaw behind the sign and every scare actor got me... It shot straight up on my list!

The first time this happened was in 2014 with Giggles & Gore Inc. I ran straight to the entrance as soon as they opened the house, they let me go in alone and I got every single scare. Some of the actors were still getting into place LOLOL

Yeah, case files was kind of odd for me because the first night it was one of my favorite houses and it was the only house that didn't really evolve through the event and somehow got worse. I had several solo runs through Scarey and had one night where towards the end of the night at Hill House the staff let us go through from the exit straight back in the house so I got to do it 3 times back to back without the conga line so I really enjoyed that one as well.
Wicked Growth was #1 consistently and I didn't really enjoy the Icons house as much personally but I liked all of the houses overall.

I just noticed that there hasn’t been a new UO video posted for nearly 7 months (as of today, 5/23/22). Is the channel going to end? I would hate to see this end, given that Universal is my family’s and my favorite parks and you guys do such a great job with the news and reviews.

this comment is 2 years old, and you may have found out since then, but they decided to focus on audio only for this show, and have been doing it that way since the last upload.
However, last week, Craig announced he's leaving the Dis for a new opportunity with Disney.

I'd be a bit annoyed about early Christmas, if we didn't have last year's holidays wiped out pretty much across the board, events and family. I'm here for it ❄☃️🎁🍾🎄

I've only been to HHN in Orlando once in 2018 so everything else I've seen has just been videos, but when Craig mentioned that he didn't feel the Haunting of Hill House one didn't do a great job of telling the story of the show it made me think back to other houses in Orlando that I've seen and I don't think they ever do a good job of telling the story of a specific IP. They do a better job with the original houses, but in the IP ones it just tends to be a bunch of random scenes thrown together. Hollywood usually does a MUCH better job at telling the story of whatever movie or show they're interpreting, it usually feels just like you stepped through the movie or show. Case in point, the Poltergeist house in Hollywood was the story of the film from beginning to end. The Poltergeist house in Orlando was a bunch of random scenes out of order, I mean it started at the end of the movie for crying out loud.

Random question - the *internet* says you can't get butterbeer without the whipped topping. Is this true? Basically looking for a dairy-free option.
