    Do i have to do extra editing once I complete my work, or does the client make audio tweaks? I know basic audio editing, but I'm no audio engineer. Thanks

      Hi there! Audio has to be broadcast-ready every time. No extra noises, no room noise, no plosive pops. You may do EQ and compression based on your comfort level with production, but audio engineers on the other side just want a clean slate that they can produce however they want and sounds natural.
      Hope this helps!

    Hello sir. I have done login.
    But is it possible to get a work without upgrading?

    • @voices
      @voices  4 года назад +1

      It certainly is. A client is able to reach out to your directly if they find your profile and like your demos. Without upgrading, you won't be able to audition to the jobs that our VoiceMatch sends you.

      @@voices thank you sir for the response

    also, i get the feeling that some clients post their entire job script as their sample script for a voice talent to submit. (matching the sample script to their description of the length of the finished piece). What is stopping a client from taking such an audition and using the files for their purpose without ever hiring a talent?

      That's a really solid point. Although this is incredibly rare, it can happen and only performing part of the script is a great safeguard and a great practice. -Randy

      @@voices I have thought that this would be the best safe guard. But what if the audition is only a few sentences amounting to a 10-sec audio clip? It's pretty hard to sell yourself and not do all the work for them at the same time...

    You mention "emailing" but do you mean messaging within the platform? I'm here because a potential client responded to an audition giving me their actual email and phone number, and since I'm a newbie and can't find anything in the TOS about outside communication breaching it, I'm confused...to begin with.

    • @voices
      @voices  Год назад

      You're totally right, clients that you work with on Voices are expected to communicate within the on-platform messaging system. This is for a few reasons, but it allows Voices to step in and settle any disputes, payment agreements, etc. The advice in this video is intended for all relationships with clients, both on-platform and off. The communication method will change depending on your relationship with that client. Hope this helps! -Randy

    I have a really important question. I got booked for a VO job but the guy hasn't even heard my voice yet. For all he knows I could sound like a squeaky wooden floorboard. Is it a scam? Should I be worried?

    • @voices
      @voices  4 года назад +1

      Hey Edward, no need to worry. There are several reasons that could be. One possibility is that they are a larger corporation and the deadline is quite far away. Sometimes it could be a couple of weeks before the client logs back in. Another possibility is that they are waiting on other stakeholders to contribute to the process. We always encourage our clients to listen to every submission, but in some cases, they may have found the right voice for the job early in the process. For this reason, we always suggest audition to the newest jobs firs. I hope this helps. Please check out our blog or FAQ if you have any more questions.
