I love how much he loves his collection, the joy in his face and voice when he talks about it.
Nice to see someone gets so much joy from their posters. The valuation for the oldest one is a touch. Great to hear he will be passing them on to his family
Nick Lowry is my favourite appraiser. I love these posters. Very cool.
SWEET!
charming collector!
I wonder what the original artwork of these posters would go for OR EVEN if they still exist, where they are and who owns them.
Pretty sure someone still owns them IMO
The original poster was done by Bruce Brice an Cthulhu black and white! He went in to create some of the most iconic posters thereafter❤
Like anything, they're worth what someone will pay for them. They are highly collectable, and they are art, but they are also a special connection for the folks that go to the Fest. We have a half-dozen signed and numbered on our walls. They aren't going anywhere.
🙌🏻✨💗
These posters are way too expensive today and still highly desirable❤
Excellent plaid suit mister
Watch Antiques Roadshow some time. He often wears suits like that, and they're delightful.
Professor Longhair was not a “zydeco”pianist as stated.
If my calculations are correct: 2024 - 1976 = 48 years; $10 to $8000 over 48 years is nearly 15% rate of return. Not bad.
"This will go to my daughter and her daughter as well". Hate to break it to you my guy but your daughter is selling them the day she gets them.
His kids gonna sell those for sure
Wayyyy overestimated.
