I've got one I built on a trued reciever and 24" match barrel. But I didn't have any long range ammo for it. I've bought some 75gr and 77gr ammo for it but have not used yet. I work 70-80hrs a week in the summer. I have used 62gr in it and have connected up to 800 a few times

What ammo were you using (factory or reloads)? What weight bullet (grains)? Were the bullets SMK's? Inquiring mind would like to know!

A one mile per hour full value wind direction change over 1000 yards will move a bullet from a rifle/round such as this about 10 inches, or one MOA. And since it's not possible to understand such a miniscule wind change it is difficult even for a High Master Classified Long-Range Shooter to shoot perfect scores which are inside 2 MOA, much less scores with high tie breaking X-Counts under 1 MOA, meaning that this demonstration of shooting skill was shot in a prevailing wind condition and in such condition any shooter who could muster consistent sight alignment and smooth trigger control from a match conditioned rifle could get the same result. In other words, this is not so much a demonstration of Marksmanship skill as it is evidence for the value of rifle match conditioning and match grade ammunition.

If you watch the trees in the video the wind was pretty strong that day and it was a right to left wind. The wind did blow the bullets off target a few times. That was the misses you see in the video

You can see the trees and hear the wind, not sure what you're talking about. This was incredible shooting.

@@danw1089 Here’s some reality for you, external ballistics does not lie but shooters do. Fact is a 1 mph full value wind will blow a a.223 VLD bullet about 10 inches at 1000 yards and that sort of wind is not easy to discern thus grouping inside an MOA at 1000 yards except in ideal conditions is not likely. And, as a High Master Class Long Range Competitor shooting in registered tournaments I know something about what’s likely. I am also a US Distinguished Rifleman, and Military Rifle Instructor assisting the USAMU deliver SDM, TTT, and SAFS Training so I am inclined to believe there’s some embellishment of facts here. And. If you had any experience on the 1000 yard line you would know something about what is and is not likely too but you do not have such experience so you don’t know. And BTW I have lots of fun with it, because it’s a challenge, especially since I shoot in Service Rifle Division with iron sights.
