The video is about them defying western art in the worlds most famous and recognized museum The Lavoure. Which has made little room of artists of color.
First of all it's le Louvre and not The Lavoure. Secondly it's a european museum in Europe, about predominantly European art. Why would there be artists of color here? You americans are so condescending exporting your race narrative everywhere thinking we all have the same history and issues about color, slavery and shit. We don't care.

I can’t think of his name right now but there was this German philosopher who came up with the concept of indigenous people, Asian, Caucasian, and black. He travelled the world spreading his concepts of race and his thoughts on each race, and what he had to say about everyone else other then Caucasian’s wasn’t very nice, credible historians have credited him with coming up with the concepts of race and racism. And what makes you think there isn’t racism in Europe. There’s also historical accounts of black people being around during the time most of European art was being made, I bet your white, proving my point that Europeans can be very racist.

That houses literally no art by people of color. Who btw have been a part of european history. What do you think happened during colonization. How do you think the rich european countries became rich? People of color have been given no place in such spaces. Thats what the video signifies. Two black people rented out the louvre to make a video full of people of colour , with their beautiful natural hair . Do you have any idea how historic this is.

I think they did this to show that black people can be subjects of art, In the video you would only see white people featured in these famous historical paintings and then it would cut to black People in those same poses, and I think she was trying to do the same thing with the black dancers dancing in front of the painting. Anytime the camera cut to the black people in the video, they were like symbols of art, It goes to show how powerful they are with their form of “art” to be able to shoot a video in a place that glorifies white art and has for centuries.
This by far is the worst reaction to this song/video. I picked up on a few subtle (-) commemts from you two. Undercover haters! You was'nt even feeling the song, feeling the musics beat. You wanted to know what the video was about but your female friend said it in this review. The video is saying that they are legends...just like the paintings and artists who are in the video. In the song jay z says he said no to the super bowl...they need him, he doesn’t need them. They also made mentions of the Grammy. What I took from that is they are not getting the Grammys they deserve because they’re concerts make people go ‘apeshit’ but at the same time Beyoncé is saying she doesn’t care about the fame (or Grammys) she just wants to make her money (put some respect on my check). They will go down in history just like the Mona Lisa. They are modern Mona Lisa. The whole song is about paying homage to what they are currently doing in their careers JOINTLY (which is why it’s called THE CARTERS and not Beyoncé ft jay z). I could really go on and on but I think y’all get the point now.
