- MacBook Pro A1707 no display but the fan is running? In this video, MacBook Pro won't turn on smoothly is caused by the malfunction of CPU addressing function. The problem point is unable to be positioned with multimeter because MacBook Pro A1707 is different from previous models in exterior design and interior logic board circuit construction. So, REWA shares with you how to trouble shoot and fix problem with oscilloscope.

How do you know what the correct readings in ohms should be for the inductors he tested? And how do you know which inductors need testing. And again how do you know which inductors to test with oscilloscope
Yeah thanks for some replys people
These videos make me angry, not because businesses such as REWA carry out these repairs or come up with ways to repair things, but because companies like Apple choose not to offer the same service. Instead, they close the device up and hand it back to the customer and tell them it is not repairable, when in actual fact, it is, in the hope that they might instead opt to buy a new device. This is behaviour is nothing short of criminal and they should be ashamed of themselves. Good on you guys for offering a repair service and helping to educate others to help stop the unnecessary disposal of something that can be repaired and preventing the loss of a perfectly repairable device to landfill.
I have just one issue; You're telling to measure using diode mode which shows measurements in volts but You're using ohms in subtitles.
Auto range
it is not Ohms it is voltage drop. It is similar to Ohms because the multimeter measure with 1mA so with this current you get Ohms. If you will measure more than some kOhm's with diod mode you will get another measurements because multimeter measure then with other current as 1mA
7:33 is where the video shows a problem, but def worth watching the whole video. I would of liked the person to speak tho while toruble shooting vs writng.
Oh my god this is great work...outstanding job..very clear informations about every signals and components and their working priciples..
Good job rewa always rewa, I really like the background music 🎶 could you Tell me the name of it please ?
Time to use Paul Daniels' board view software REWA
Great tutorial, thanks for taking your time to share this.
Thanks for your watching and hope you can get some enlightenment from it :)
OMG, That was so Amazing !!
I love every video, you put a lot of Professionalism and Clean Fixing !!! I appreciate much that.
Does this oscilloscope test on the LPC_AD lines is valid on older boards as well with Core i5/i7 CPUs?
This is a helpful way to learn something new
Hi, great job
what is the program you used to see schematic please ?
it is called "Landrex Test Link".You can also see the name on 3:25.
I recommend OpenBoardView which is easier to use, has more features and is more optimized for modern systems. Much better than that other crap from 1995.
Test Link Drawing Program ;)
nice diagostic, but why using that needle soldered to probe, when needle probes cost 3eur on ali?
Interesting !! how you analysis the problem
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Muchas Gracias , you guys are the Best!!
I am following this tutorial however I have a rather silly problem, I cannot measure the inductor. I have my multimeter in diode mode, and whatever I do the screen shows .OL . Can you tell me which points exactly you measuring with your black and red probs?
Red prob at ground, black prob take measure
i have a question please, how do you know the resistance of each power rail? are they on the schematics? or if they are not equal to 0 then it means its good? and is it applicable for non apple laptops? thank you for replying
And also how do you know that voltage on inputs or outputs of an IC/Transistor or any component is normal or abnormal?
Thank you very much
All these parameters are in the additional tables in the schematic diagram.
@@DarkPhysicist Really? In which parts or page of the schematics PDF is it for this A1707 MBP? Can you give an example?
thankyou sir
Very use full video Great every stap in motherboard I understand & hard work Sallu Sir
the diagram is very hard to find. can it be repaired without a wiring diagram? what knowledge is needed for this?
All my lpc s are measuring constant voltage. But vcore and gpu acting normal. What could it be? Which direction should I move?
The bios memory is read only once after a power cycle
Can I use a1990 display for a1707?
My multimeter model vaxun-vx-9205a+ not
Diode mode.
Well done guys!
where did you take the boardview?? =) link plz
What's the program is used for view smd components?
What software do you use for a 1:31 please?
What if on a A1706 20.4 volts and around .40-.80 amps with battery unplugged, then 20.4 volts and around 1.20- 1.80 amps when battery plugged in. No fan and only CPU and main R7 inductor gets warm. I get track pad click, but nothing more.
I have a similar issue. Did you ever get it fixed?
@@benwolfe1301 Sadly it was the CPU in my situation. After spending far too much time testing everything all signs pointed to the CPU.
@@lonnygallant827 damn. Thanks for the reply
@@lonnygallant827 Had it repaired by someone else and apparently it was just a short
@@benwolfe1301 Glad to hear you got it going!
great job sir
notice the oscilloscope has the seal broken. (the green and white thing on top)
Great work...
I'm wondering why I almost only see fixing videos (because it won't turn on for a good reason) for Apple products
$$ its worth fixing haha.
Super bro thanks.
From the start u plugged the charger from to the left side but when u finished u plug the charger to the right side .can u explain. Because is confusing
Actually. Simply just because there is charger port at both side. And it's more convenient to plug to the right side when finished. LOL
The unit for inductor is Henry, not ohm.
but he's using RESISTANCE to measure the abnormalities in circuit.
What's the multimeter brand ? Thank you !
Darius Marian Take FLUKE or UNI-T
All this job only for find and replace a single amoeba size resistor??? Imagine your laptop have a same problem and you have to throw it out because you don't know that it's only single micro mini virus size resistor that need to replace lol
NUMBER ONE
Its a very strange that this resistor is bad in one year old laptop. It never happens
How can I Solve My Iphone X Face id.My Phn Face id Is desible
a1707 logo restart problam
Please do a video explaining how to get rid of the pink line galaxy s7edge i watched some videos on youtube but i dont believe them please help us. Please its getting really bad. I hope you see this and atleast reply. 🙏
Try to replace a new screen first to see if the problem is solved.
REWA Technology its too expensive so i was searching for an alternative method. Please help!
What are the LPC and EC exactly?
LPC means protocol of communication, EC is super IO,
Can i know name of this music please
please share the name of this music
I don't wanna sound like a smart ass dick but in diode mode multimeter measures voltage drop (in volts) instead of resistance (in ohms, as suggested by the video). Great job thou, thank you for sharing!
Kurang jelas
is this reupload?, why?
Wrong terms used like saying XX ohms to ground when using Diode mode (which is still a uncorrect)
In the previous video they were talking about a bad capacitor but it was a blown resistor which they fixed in this video.
julien reveillet owh ok
There were translation errors in the last version. We have correct expression in Chinese but wrong in English translation. To avoid further misleading, the video was therefore deleted and optimized to express more clearly and correctly. We'd like to apologize for our cursoriness and will keep improving.
REWA Technology you’re doing great! Keep up the good work
