People wondering about the accent. He’s attempting welsh, in fact he is attempting an impersonation of famous welsh rugby player and commentator Cliff Morgan, hence why he keeps getting called cliff.
@dakota1987 I am American and actually prefer the subtle Python above the in-your-face, laced-with-obscenities American counterpart of today. The issue with a lot of people disliking Python seems to be that their comedy forces you to think, rather than just handing out cheap insults and pandering to the lowest common denominator. Streuth!
The Watford Long John Silver Impersonators really need to improve on possession, but can't take anything away from the Bournemouth Gynaecologists. Well played, chaps!
I heard the Captain Hook Impersonators fared better in their matches...except for that time against a team called the Mindoro Salt-Water Crocodiles, in which they were thoroughly trounced.
Disappointing display by Watford - a static defenceunable to use both feet with no one making any runs plus a failure to put both feet on the ball. Gynaecologists able to slice them open at will and Watford caught on the hop and rooted to the spot. Can see the Long John Silvers going down.
@dakota1987p I'm not as much of a fan of Monty Python as many others, but I adore Blackadder. That being said, I would hardly call it surrealist. Funny, yes. Different, yes. I never thought of it as being surreal, however.
You're not very good at recognising accents, are you? He's imitating Cliff Morgan, who was a famous rugby commentator. Being from Wales, Morgan had a Welsh accent.

Eric has a knack for scoring goals with his head, if i'm not mistaken in the philosophy football he was Sokrates who scored for the Greeks

"The All Blacks can't really be fancying their chances against the London Pooves on Saturday." Priceless!

I am Brazilian and i love Monty Python. If u know a little about History, Geography and General Knowledge u will be entertained
if you have enjoyed the show half as much as we doing it, then we have enjoyed it twice as much as you :)
don't thumb down him! Thumb up him! hes right, that's the point of Monty Python humour! surrealism!
At least 3 of those goals were offside, time for goal line technology methinks

The sound track during the Bournemouth-Watford match always cracks me up. "Arr, arr, shiver me timbers, arrs the black spot"
Damn you, Python! I need to study!!

that clip was very good! I really enjoyed it!
Graham Chapman sounds like he from Cardiff - via Trinidad. The rest is just very silly.
Graham Chapman was altogether excellent, by far the best actor. Is being very silly a bad thing?
love the 16 ton weight
Easy way to end a sketch innit
@@markschildberg1667 Responding to 14-year-old comment. Nice
I thought I was a senior at my school, but I am a junior and I will be a senior in august. I really really thought that I was a senior at my school.

Monty Python isn't a person.
I was never a senior at my school.
Hahahaha what the fuck?
@creakyprop I do know who Cliff Morgan is - and you are right! I'd quite forgotten how slightly odd his accent was and Chapman catches that well.
Graham, John, Eric, Terry G, Terry J and Michael
Nope, no one called Monty here

Brilliant. The Cliff Morgan impression at the end made it for me.
