Kinda curious how many people buy a $100+ figure from Storm Collectibles just to put it in a neutral standing pose. I’ve always assumed they are meant to be displayed in crazy fighting poses alongside their accessories.
lots of people dont have space for dynamic poses on the shelf. the figures can be posed on the desk for a time or whatever but to display them all in crazy poses isnt likely for most collectors
Still think her Street Fighter 4 design is my favorite but she also looks great in 6 I really hope the upcoming Revoltech figure for her will be good if not better
Same! I got the storm for the accessories plus if I'm gonna get more than one figure for afew characters then it has to be her,Chun Li,and cammie.. Plus right now I kinda want to get into storm collectibles so I'm just gonna get juri and then mai shiranui from Kof 98 since no one has made an official mai figure.
She'll pose crazy that's for sure. I hope Kaiyodo tones down the "anime face" syndrome for the female characters though. It'd be a shame if their Chun-Li still looks like she's in her mid-20s lmao
This costume isn't "iconic", but given how it accentuates her athletic build, it's the sexiest one she has. And the fact it's a fusion between a catsuit and a biker outfit makes it even more fitting for her bold personality. I'm glad they went with this look. Besides, they're making another Juri for the SF6 line they announced. Her costume from that game is practically an improved version of her original one anyway. It's going to be worth the wait.
This is definitely my preferred look for her, but once again, your review was helpful. I was on the fence because, well, these figures are expensive and while I love the aesthetic, she doesn't qualify as an iconic character for me. Ultimately, the muted look of the paint is an issue, as the saturation isn't what I was expecting, and the issues transitioning the torso to the hips and upper thighs really undermine the shelf presence. Cool figure, but in no way worth the near $100 price tag in my opinion. Great work as always.
I would say I disagree with you about the costume. Juri SF5 costume design is well done. It fits her personality with the overall darker colors and biker catsuit. And was so well received, that they made sure to bring the costume back in SF6.
They also uncensored it a bit too by making it more revealing to it's original "on paper" design. The only thing I don't like is the eyepatch but otherwise it's her best look.
@@LeeONardo yes I remember seeing the uncensored version of the outfit. The eyepatch is odd, but because there is a good reason why she has it. I’ll give her a pass. I pretty much agree with your statement.
I'm not too familiar with her character but she looks pretty cool besides the odd mid section. I have a kai arts Meryl figure from Metal Gear Solid that has a similar mid section but still looks great
Jut got her yesterday. She is only my 3rd Storm figure. The head sculpts are so dang good. Agreed that in a vanilla pose she has issues with those hips. I go her in a pretty cool pose now and she looks amazing. I wish Storm was closer to 6" so she would look good next to my Jada Chun Li. Guess I'll have to make a larger fighting ladies shelve too. Got 2 more Storm fighting ladies coming soon.
I've been a Storm fan and collector since their first MK releases, but boy is it starting to get tiresome how they apparently *still* can't design a figure with a proper pelvis. Some get away with it better than others, but it's an annoyingly consistent pattern with Storm figures having legs coming up to the waist and the hips basically missing. I still grab the occasional MK and Golden Axe figure, but at this rate I'm not sure how much longer I'll be buying any of them...
I think her SF6 design is slightly better than SF4. They got the proportions wrong and they got the finish completely wrong. I don't like the SFV costume that much but it being completely matte really makes it 100 times worse
My favorite look for her, just because it's a skintight catsuit. And also because my best friend is super into the series and he says most people hate the design, so I can keep telling him how much better it is compared to the SF4 one. I think I'm done with Storm tbh. Their figures are solid. Lots of things to like that somewhat justifies the price, but the inconsistent engineering is exhausting. How many years into the various lines, starting with their MK ninjas? And they still can't produce a simple, sleek female figure while making her both well articulated and natural. I wanted them to finally do a proper Cammy, but now I don't care, because Jada's will be infinitely better at a fraction of the price.
Love this figure/character, and her display is pretty awesome looking. I have to admit my shelf-diving spidey sense is a bit worried, but will give the benefit of the doubt. SF4 is my favorite, version, but definitely not mad at this one.
Her right leg would come when I put shock oil on. Thinking to myself this wasn’t the one. All the other storm figures in the past I put shock oil with 0 problems at all. She comes off to easy. I hate gaps
I'm happy with this figure. Still waiting for mine to arrive but the different reviews I saw make me happy, despite the flaw in the waist you mentionned. I think they chose this costume because of the baggy pants of her original costume. Not easy to articulate. It's possible, we have seen baggy pants that work (the SH Figuarts Majin Buu) but for some reason most of the time it's horribly made (even by Bandai, lately the Android 20 cyborg.) I don't know why they can't just make all baggy pants like the Majin Buu ones but...apparently they can't. And even with good sculpted baggy pants, it probably would have been difficult to pose her doing her circular kick with the huge effect. I don't mind that much. Obviously I discovered this character with her original costume but I don't dislike this one. A lot of people really like her SF6 design because it looks like SF4, but I think they went too far with the sexual look. She is basically bare chested with tatoos...and a piece of useless clothing floating around her boobs. I don't want to sound like a prude, I don't really care, I'm not offended, but I don't really like it either.
What a mistake! Mine didn't come with a stand or arm to hold the figure. The one with the shaft is there but the gripper arm to hold it wasn't included. Does anyone have this too or knows why this is the case for me?🤷♂️
There are two kinds of people that like Juri, the first one is people who like the gameplay, the second one is people who have a foot fetish/dom fetish. I’m one of these and I’ll never tell anyone which one I am.
Juri is definitely the best female Storm figure by far. Fantastic physique and impressive articulation. Only wish the feet were flatter so she can stand on one foot with ease.
@@AnthonysCustoms I personaly think Chun Li is not very "pretty" compared to the 3D model. She is a well made figure but with a frowny face, huge muscular legs that can be man's legs (yeah Chun Li has huge legs in the games but still slender ankles) Storm's Chun Li has Hulk legs. It's not too ugly on the regular release with the boots, but it's really ugly on the bare legs variant.
I know it’s very unrelated to this video but I’ve been wondering if you’d ever revoltech spider man 2.0 just would to see what your opinions are on the figure

personally it's still my favorite, it keeps her main colors and adds the badass biker girl aesthetic to her character

I think the majority opinion is the sf4 one is better. I like this one too though
If the chest was flesh colored I would 100 percent buy this.
you can always make it a custom 😼
I second this. I would totally buy it!!
Me too
You can paint it with like posca or something
Got mine coming Monday can’t wait for her I also prefer her sf4 outfit
I love the full bodysuit

The SF6 version of this costume translates so much better in the game.
Sf4 is easily the best look for juri
6's onesie costume should be her default for life
Sf6 default is literally just sf4 but better
@@mrmagichat7555 their different and sf4 is better
@mrmagichat7555 sf 6 has black pants sf6 has white pants. Sf6 has the white jacket ,sf4 doesn't have that goofty white jacket to cover cleavage
I mean specifically the panda onesie costume
I'm sure Jada Toys will come out with her at some point down the line
Don't know the character, but that accessory is awesome. Shout out for the inclusion of 'knackered' too 🙌😂
That's a good word innit

It's like Juri with Chun Li legs. lol I don't think Juri thigh is bigger than Chun Li right?
I've been waiting for this - some changes made to the female figures might have me no longer purchasing. Agree the costume pick is an odd one
It feels line Storm is cranking out the announcements since Jada started eating their lunch in terms of pace and quality for $.
I don't think either company is paying attention to the other. Price, scale, and style are do disparate.
Hope we get another one or maybe an shfiguarts for her street fighter 6 uniform
Common Anthony the Chars in SF dont have human accurate proportions even in the game and you know why...
Why are you saying that?
WOW es perfecta figure de juri han 10 de 10
"Okay, before we look at the figure, let's take a look at my package."
Sir!!! At least take us out for dinner beforehand.
What a mistake! Mine didn't come with a stand or arm to hold the figure. The one with the shaft is there but the gripper arm to hold it wasn't included. Does anyone have this too or knows why this is the case for me?🤷♂️
What do you mean? It wasn't meant to have a stand for the figure
Would you recommend her to go along with Jada's Street Fighter figures?
Storm is more like a 1/10 scale.
Scales don't fit
No, she's too tall. It fits more in line with a 7inch scale. Jada's is 1/12.
I like the look of this figure a lot, will probably get this one.
Is there anything you can do to make the suit glossy? Like some sort of layer or paint
sure. clear semigloss would work
to me sf6 is her best design
How do you balance her on one leg lol i can't do it

Man, doesn't it feel like they sculpted the diaper for a standard female figure without accounting for her lower body? It's literally stretched tight
Hi Anthony would you consider reviewing figures from the Mythic legions line?
Maybe sparingly but they really aren't my thing
Will u be reviewing storm collectibles fuma and Rendo I heard they come with a alot weapons
Not likely

SF6 is best Juri
hopefully you can get that silver paint off her stomach
4 or 6.
Esque esta delscasa, por eso la kieren, pero si le mira raro el cuerpo, y luego vale kasi $200? Mejor espero k se ponga mas baratio
I'm getting Rhea Ripley vibes from this one.
qotd: SF6 costume 3
SF4 look hands down. This one is just bland, and speaking of bland, it looks like an alt costume you'd see in overwatch for widowmaker
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Not enough cake on the figure.
I feel they could have done better, face looks great, the hips ruin the figures look
Definitely need to pose her
So this is like a yamaguchi lol

No. It's there to be compared against. Perfection. Even in the sub ratings a 10 is significantly rare.
