Just a walk in the park today. Great things in the future for Christone. Well I hope so, he deserves it. I have great memories of Freddie King and his awesome band in London. Hope to see Christone and his guy's over here one day. Next summer maybe when all the bad things in our lives have gone.

Jazz and Blues, but especially blues are suffering from similar fates. Most young people playing these "styles" are led to believe they are locked into a vary narrow lane of possibilities.
They are led to believe that evolving the styles isn't a good thing and in some instances, especially with blues, a bad thing.
30 to 40 years ago, there was a move afoot to keep both styles evolving. Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Vernon Reid, and more recently, Josh Smith and Derek Trucks have pushed the envelope, but they are by far the exceptions. The lion's share are stuck, frozen in the past, and never shall they change.
Great stylists, copyists, imitators, absolutely. Great innovators and a fresh voice? No.
