I like his books on epidemiology and appreciate his vision and gut to totally ban NHST during he was the editor of the Epidemiology journal,who was the first to do so.Such action also showed his leadership and endeavor to push for a world with better research methodology.Sooner or later ,we will revalue his contribution in this regard.
Medicine is science in art, but epidemiology is the paradigm of the accuracy of medical science. Only mathematics is exact science, and physics and then chemistry come close to it; epidemiology is also an almost exact science, obviously in the neonatal state and in the cradle of stone. it is up to modern epidemiologists to make it grow as it is: the epistemological judge of medicine as a science; the one that most accurately measures the causal phenomena of health or disease.
