In trying to figure out who he was and to determine if he really was God and our Messiah by reading the Bible I came to believe and have Faith in Jesus. After I proclaimed that, right then, there was a change. Everything was different. I was baptized into the Catholic Church 3 years later. It's all so important, but I believe it happened as soon as I Truly realized and proclaimed aloud that I believed in Jesus!

So beautiful! I could say that my life is a lot like hers - I was miserable until about 40, and things gradually improved for me. Now that I’m almost 60, things are wonderful. I wish that things had changed for me at the age that things had changed for the sister. At 25?

I started going to weekly adoration about 3 years ago. It’s true, it’s the one place I feel at peace, but I don’t see much change yet. I still suffer from terrible anxiety and panic and trust issues. Guess I’m just a hard case lol. Pray for me Sister!
Please pray at least 3 mysteries of the Rosary (Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious) every single day! Doing so has completely changed my life. Mother Mary is our loving Mother who wants to help us. God bless!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful soul, Sister 😊. We want to hasten along the stages of sanctity and lie to ourselves that we see evidence of them in the distance. O, the dryness/distraction…am I dark-night-of-the-soul-ing? We kid ourselves because we want the glory of sanctity for the glory itself, when really “sanctity” on it’s own is not the purpose of our existence truly. The purpose of our pilgrimage on earth is to learn to let ourselves be fathered by God. The angels cannot testify to God’s fatherhood the way we can because they do not experience weakness and frailty. Thus, the purpose of our whole life journey is simply to teach our hearts to learn to be loved. Simply let. Yourself. Be loved. I’m so glad that all of my failings and insufficiencies are so public. So glad I carry outward evidence of past mistakes, because in it the fatherly love of God is glorified. How authentically and without reserve He loves us in ALL of our weakness. If we simply drop all of our guard and learn to run to His arms with authenticity and without reserve on OUR part, we can actually then finally have a truly natural real relationship with God. And THAT is the purpose of our sojourn. The crown of sanctity is simply a natural consequence. A high five, you did it from a proud heavenly father. Yes, Eucharistic adoration helps a lot. A lot. A lot! 🤗
