Hello, I’m in the process of becoming Catholic but I have a hard time at loving myself for what I have done in the past and how I constantly battle a addiction with pornography, lust. I truly feel like I let myself down everyday and I have a amaze new girlfriend who brought me to where I am. I feel like I betray her everytime I end up caving in etc etc. I’m just new to this and have no friends to express how I feel inside so I just ask for prayers, and strength. I feel like the devil is trying to make me not change and I’m just scared I can’t do it because I truly want to start a new life with Jesus. (Thank you for all the comments and advice! The anxiety was taking over yesterday but today my strength is different and I’m ready to take this day by day, praying for y’all just like y’all are praying for me ❤️)
Congratulations to you and your girlfriend. I suggest you look for Matt Fradd of Pints with Aquinas, and also Dr. Bob Schuchts, their talks and books can help you heal the wounds and find your way out of that path. God bless!
One of the things that help me with my porn addiction was the Three Hail Marys devotion. You wake up and say three Hail Marys, and when you go to bed you say another three. I can say that I've felt Our Lady help drive the temptations out of me over the weeke I stayed devoted to it. I still say it, and now when I get a wayward thought I am able to quickly squash it and go nowhere near the occasion of sin. Consider praying this to help you, friend.
Hey brother! I’ll be praying for you. If you haven’t already, surrender your battles of lust, addiction, and not loving yourself to Jesus. Invite Him into your heart and battles. Surrender your heart and whole life to Jesus. You can’t do it on your own so you don’t have to try to fight the battles on your own. Recognize your brokenness and your need for God’s grace. Remember it’s a little by little day by day process, with God’s grace and help, where HE transforms you into who He called you to be. Yes, avoid sin as much as you can, but when you fall, just run to Him, ask for Mercy, and rejoice that he will ALWAYS give it and never get tired of giving it. Keep praying, talking to our Father. Ask Him for good Catholic friends, who draw you nearer to Jesus, to help with what’s going on. Be honest with God about what’s happening in your life and in your heart. He already knows and still and will always love you, so you don’t have to be afraid to tell Him. He sees your effort and knows your heart. He will, and WANTS to, help. So let Him. Jesus loves you unconditionally and infinitely more than you can ever imagine.
Social media tools have done a lot of harm in the world but without RUclips we would never have been so blessed with messages and like these and channels like Ascension. Thank God for making the crooked straight.
I explained to my children Remember when you wer scared to float on water, but you did it! Trust in GOD Is the same! Pretent your about to float & Our GOD is right thr holding you!
This is an awesome depiction, and actually alludes to Jesus reference to The Kingdom being made up of little children (and adults that respond to God like little children).
I love the Surrender Novena. It helps with trust. It takes awhile to trust Jesus but we need to know Him first. So whatever happens even if it is suffering is scary. But to know that the God who loves us and will take care of us helps us more than we know. But fear can stop us from trusting that even in pain He is always there. The Surrender Novena is the prayer that is the best for me.🙏
Good morning 🌷, pray for me father & sister , so I can devote my self to Mary pure heart & help my family and society. My name is suhail & I live in Dubai 💗💗💗
I'm reading Sr. Faustina's book right now and my heart is so full. She presents this littleness and simplicity in the way she talks that makes it relatable yet it packs a punch.
My daily prayer: Lord, behold your humble servant, I am prepared to take any sufferings that you need me to face. Please allow the outcome of my day be in accordance with thy will and that the outcome be in your honor and glory.
Something I've been learning my whole life. I don't trust easy so this is difficult for me. Its not thst I don't believe it's that it's incredibly hard to put trust in God not knowing the outcome. I have trust issues to begin with. Also love. God IS love I've told God though that not everyone has experienced love so it can be difficult for us to understand especially when we live in a loveless world!
The Litany of Trust is beautiful, thank you So much Sister for collaborating on this Litany of trust. May God Bless You and everything You, and fellow Sisters of Renewal. Amén 🙏🏻
thank you for this reminder of God’s love. When your own family has always betrayed you, it can be very challenging to trust anyone, but I know the Lord is the measure of the love available for me, not those who are unable to love me
This is beautiful. How does one trust when so much bad has happened in all situations in their lives? Specifically people letting them down. I don’t think God intends that but people do have free will & sometimes can cause pain
With all the horrible things going on in the US and all over the world, I’m scared for my family, friends and myself. I KNOW God is watching over us and we are supposed to trust HIM through all this. But I’m scared of things to come and I feel my trust is weak because I know bad things happen to good people. The Bible tells us things will get bad before He comes.
Acceptance always. Whether you caused the situation or imposed on you, or both. Good or bad in your sight because everything is good for God. Even darkness for Him is light. Ask God for a heart of gratitude. Thank Him, sometimes with teeth-grinding will, declaring He knows what is best for you and works everything together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Do this sincerely without attempting to manipulate. You’ll see the miracles from God himself flowing from His beautiful and compassionate heart. Speaking from experience guys. My gosh it was extremely painful (did not know that a heart can break in million different pieces) and then Jesus lifted me out of the mire and put a new song in my mouth. I know it was His doing… I cleared my own heart of sins through confession. I did not have anger but compassion and prayed for forgiveness and blessings for those who caused my misery. Only God’s spirit can do that. God be with us all - always!❤
Thank you so much for this video💫💫 God bless both of you and your communities. Please remember me, my family, my friends and my enemies in your prayers.
God knows you and loves you. Your not the first person to stumble and you will not be the last. Look it all started with Adam and Eve and continues today.....AND God still loves us. You have to forgive your self because that is the Devil holding you back from victory. Deuteronomy 20:4 “For the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. I pray for your journey with God and that your relationship with Him will help you to see that He loves you even in your brokenness, AMEN? It overwhelms me sometimes to the point of tears that God loves us even though we are broken. I will be praying for you.
It is a beautiful concept to completely trust in Jesus, but I have no idea what she's talking about. Long explanation of something- but not anything I understood. Sad.
When I contemplate my trust in Jesus, I contemplate something that is subject to human frailty, weakness, and error; something that may be swayed by a trivial mood, or a sin that is getting in the way of trusting Him. I should, rather, focus on Jesus' Trust in us. From our conception in our mother's womb, He trusted us to life, we being His creation, formed in His image and likeness. He trusts us in the Sacraments, these blessed occasions in which we share in His Grace. He trusts us in our prayers to Him through faith. Yes, we may, as sinners, miss the mark. Even then He trusts us to reconcile with Him through Penance. His Trust is complete, perfect and absolute. It helps to focus on that if our trust in Him wavers, even for a moment.
I cried every night when I was teased 6 7 8 th grade in catholic school teachers knew no one helped me. I am miserable now no children I wanted children my parental took me for granted. No one loves me. If I am wrong let me know?
God your creator loves you. I am sorry to hear about the bad experiences of your past. I was teased and bullied at school at that age also and I know the damage it does. But Jesus tells me something different about myself.
Hey, you are loved. You are loved by Jesus who thought about you in His passion so you can have eternal life with Him. This life is so difficult with so many challenges, it’s not easy but God is always with us, have hope and let’s continue to walk this life beside Him ❤️
