Great video. Just downloaded this. Ive been so discouraged with FSX overall...I've wished to have my gcquad with TPS. My biggest gripe. I LOVE how TPS gives a "score" based on distance to target. Their Combine and ability for me to build a wedge focused combine for working/practicing is awesome. Really helps hone in on solid practice. Foresight is making awesome hardware. Just wish their software was closer...
Another great video, now I understand it’s capability and target audience. Can you do a comparison video, example a ball test with a driver looking at Spin, ball speed, efficiency, distance with a few different ball types. Like to see the data and reports associated with a comparison test. Thanks and keep the videos coming.
I'm loving my GC Quad I purchased from Jay's videos. I like this new software but I would like to see what the optimal number and a range for each parameter. For example, if I hit a 7 iron, based off of of club head speed, what optimal spin, height, launch angle, etc. should look like. Also, any plans to provide the decent angle?
That is good info. So optimal for a parameter. For instance for optimal carry you should launch xyz etc. I will share that with them and see if it’s possible to add. I thought decent angle was in there? Let me look.
Loving your breakdowns on the GC Quad! Two questions: 1. Is there a way to get swing speed without hitting a ball? For some speed drills it would be good to get feedback while not connecting to a ball. 2. Trackman software gives you a number of feet of "curve" of a shot. I have not found that number anywhere while using GC Quad. Am I missing something? Thanks!
Good overview, I really like this new software I've been using it non stop since they released it. I'm really looking forward to the iPad version which is supposed to be sometime today I think. The reports this software kicks out are pretty awesome!
Hopefully they will put together an advisory board for a revamp of the Sim software and put you on it. They definitely need to take a cue from Trackman in this area. The only drawback i see in the Trackman sim software is the prospective of the ball on the screen. Foresight’s ball hit the screen and the tracer is just an extension of where the ball hit. Love that.
There actually is and the software is currently being developed. It will be a complete overhaul with all new graphics engine. I do agree on the Trackman software. I guess it did have a real first person perspective and it went away in VG2 but sounds like it might be coming back. I don't want to see the ball for full shots, I agree. Thanks for watching!
@@GolfSimulatorVideos Yes there should be away that when you set your room up that's what camera prospective shows. I do like the FSX pro, not waiting for each show data and being able to fire off shot after shot and everything is capture is awesome.
Great video, as usual!! Thanks Jay. Any idea when a new update for the ipad version will be launched? The PC version is much more complete. Players management within ipad version is quite poor. There is no chance to log a player in his FSX Live account and you cannot retrieve a past session from a certain player so once you close a session you cannot access it anymore
Jay, is there a setting for ball flight time. Mine is extremely quick even with the real-time button on at the top. At least I think that’s what it’s called
I remember reading a previous comment of yours that Foresight was going to update their simulator graphics (to seem more realistic, less cartoony?). Do you know when that will be? Thanks
The development is underway for a all new FSX utilizing a new graphics engine. I would expect it to be completed this year and will cover it as soon as it is out. Thanks for watching!
So I just installed this and I use a gc2. I couldn't figure out any way to adjust altitude. Is it possible at all? I know gcquad has a barometer built in but the gc2 doesnt. I live at 4000 ft so this software is kinda useless for me if I can't get somewhat realistic yardages relevant to the altitude we play here.
Yes you can geek out for sure!! As of now yes. You get it free withs fsx 2020 license. It’s possible they will sell it as an individual license. I am asking them about that. Thanks for watching!!

What software comes with the GC Quad?
They bundle it with FSX which includes the 2020 desktop software, foresight fairgrounds, mobile apps included also like fsx pro and fsx performance.
The reporting is still weak. I just tested and you can't modify the data you want to show up in the report that you can in the table.
